I've always struggled with machine noises and buzzing and at night it makes me feel like my heart will beat out of my chest with anxiety. I know this isn't normal

My new roommate has a heater thing he sometimes leaves in all night and I literally cannot sleep because my flight or fight is triggered

Is there any advice someone with similar issues has been through to help block the noise out? I'm desperate

Normal earplugs don't work, and I can't sleep with music. I've tried exposure but I'm still awake. I've asked him to turn it off and he does sometimes which I am grateful for but man I'm paying way too much rent to not be able to sleep at night

Lord...it's 8 days til christmas, and I can't afford presents for my husband, nor can I afford our electric bill...I'm pretty freaking stressed...I hate asking for financial help, but I'd desperate at this point. The unemployment office still hasn't made a decision on my claim, nor has the disability office...I've been running off of tiny checks from PUA, but that ends on the 31st...and Indiana sucks major ass with it's financial assistance...hell, I can't even afford a winter coat, and it's already started snowing.

I know it's a hard time in general, which is why I hate asking, but if *anyone* can donate even a little bit, I'd be more than grateful...I've got a post pinned on my page, but I'll put my cashapp and paypal here, too.
