One of the biggest issues I see with people who want to lose, manage or stop big fluctuations in their weight is a lack of self-care and compassion . They feel that once they lose weight, then they can start being nice to themselves, start to be kind and compassionate . Often fuelled by fear, hate, dislike, punishment and over-restriction . However, in reality it's the other way around . Behaviours and motives dictate outcomes . And bullying yourself to a certain weight or size isn’t nice or sustainable . So until we truly believe that we deserve to be happy, deserve respect, deserve to live our best life... . We can't truly be at our best and reach a weight that supports that . One where we; - Enjoy our diet - Allows flexibility - Makes us feel genuinely well - Exercise and move in ways that we enjoy - Feel content and at home in our body . This is why I work do hard on developing self-compassion with my clients and their motives behind weight loss or wanting to change their body . Because we can't sustain and don't deserve to bully or hate yourself into a certain box, size or weight . So, start with happiness and feeling good! .
