This "Thankful Thursday" I'd like to recognize the guys from the band @officialtantric Despite being an avid #DaveMatthewsBand follower, I really do appreciate many more musicians and patronize their shows whenever possible. Imagine my disappointment when the day I was set to see Tantric perform in St.Pete with several other bands I wanted to see, I ended up in an ambulance on my way to be admitted to the hospital with peritonitis. Since they've been on my list of bands to see for years, and they don't tour a lot, I wasn't sure when the next chance would be for me to catch them perform. However, the Universe not only had my back but brought them right to my town not even 3 months later and in a more intimate venue!! Not only are they underrated in talent but they are also a super chill and awesomely nice group of dudes. If I had seen them in St. Pete I can guarantee I'd have never gotten close enough for a good picture let alone a personal conversation! This smaller venue provided me with a spot right in front of the stage, the pleasure of meeting all of them after the show, getting some autographs on my CD insert, and I even got to have a convo with Hugo, the lead singer, about how much their music speaks to me. I explained how I couldn't use my ticket to see them in St. Pete last September because I was in the hospital and I was super bummed at the thought I'd missed my opportunity to see them live and Hugo shared some of his struggles. I wasn't some rando fangirl trying to get something from him and he wasn't some famous star looking for an ego stroke, we were just two humans being and connecting on a human level. I just want to take this opportunity to thank them all for being such kind souls that night and acknowledge how much it meant to me.
