Yeti says, make sure to take a few minutes to really relax.
On the 15th of March this year, I made a phone call.
I’ve been doing this seven years. On and off running this blog, I’ve overcome binge eating and dealt with my emotional attachment to food. I’ve lost 30+kg (70lbs) twice and then steadily regained it through my pregnancies, wedding, honeymoon and just plain old stress.
The last time I lost the weight, I really thought it would be the last time.
“If it doesn’t work this time, I’m getting surgery.” I told myself and my family.
I felt good, I was strong. But it still crumbled around me and I ultimately regained.
Depressed, I spiralled over the Christmas period because I kept telling myself I got so close, I just needed to try one more time. Things that had been out of my control had happened, this time would be different.
But ultimately I know, if I could do it alone, I would have done it by now.
So I rang a bariatric surgeon and asked for a consult.
As of today, I am nine days away from surgery. (I meant to make this post yesterday and start from ten but here we are 😅)
Start weight: 138.4kg // 305.1lbs
My fat 119.9 kilogram ass had bariatric surgery this morning. I am over the Moon, my dudes. Never have I ever been so overjoyed because of a fucking sleeve.

I would like to get Bariatric Surgery to help jumpstart my life - to become healthier and stronger.
Hi everyone!
I usually wouldn't post this sort of stuff, but my sister means the world to me, and to see her mental health plummet because of her weight, honestly hurts me, and scares me as I'm not sure how handle the situation myself
I've struggles with Ed, and anorexia all my life, whilst my older sister stood by and watched trying to make me love food.
Now it's my turn, I want my sister to feel happy again, to have a normal relationship with food.
If anyone could spare $1, $5 anything to help out. It would be very appreciated.
Thank you!
Im feeling very unmotivated.
I have definetly gained weight during quaratine. I have gotten back to the gym but I’m still feeling bad about weight loss.
Ive been trying to be better about snacking and making healthy meals (god bless Hello Fresh) but idk what else to be doing?
Anyone else feeling the struggle?
I know this site is a blog but visit my other blog where I track my weight loss journey before and after gastric bypass surgery: www.losingmyselfblog.com
Day 7 if weight loss stall 😑
Wanna know the ingredients of a Bullshit Burrito?
Behold: Husband gone for over a week. Kid is sick. Other kid has lost his damn mind. House is a mess. Work life/integrity is teetering on the edge of useless. Wrapped nicely in a tortilla of self realization.
Maybe not all of this is surgery related. Maybe it is.
All I know is that I didn't realize how long I had been ignoring myself, making myself smaller, and sucking down sodas, cigarettes, and sugar laden junk food to cope with my anxiety and general self hatred.
The good news is that my physical pain is gone. I am now distraction free and able to figure out healthier ways to deal with the emotions! But DAMN. All I can think/talk about these days is the surgery. How excited I am vacillates between how messed up in the head I feel. This too shall pass. Everyone I know has said the first few months sucks.
Lol I'm empowered and irritated and sad all at once. I'll make it through this. I've literally lived through worse. I'm oddly excited to figure out what my new hobby will take the place of food/soda, too.
I need a fucking hug.
