17. Post a line from a WIP that you’re working on.

(This one is super tricky because there’s one specific part that I want to share, but I just... I would ruin everything if I did. So here’s some weird, out of context lines!)

“What are you trying to say?” Zuko calls after the Avatar.

“Nothing!” comes Aang’s faint, infuriating answer. “I just thought it was interesting, that’s all!”

The air is thick and soupy in a way that signals the oncoming monsoon season. Inside, the palace is hardly cooler. Zuko, feeling somewhat alienated from his body and unable to shake the odd quality of Aang’s parting words, ambles through the halls towards his room with his shirt draped over his shoulder.

19. Are there any stories that you’ve written that you’d really love to do a sequel to?

There is something of a sequel to A Delicate Balance brewing!! It was originally supposed to be posted for today’s prompt, but I realized that there was no way for me to do it justice given the time constraints. It’s still in fledgling stages and needs more time to come together before it gets posted. I will, however, be posting a one-shot set in the ADB universe later this month! I never expected to be writing about... Well, I never expected to be covering this particular topic, let me tell you that! 😉

43. Has anyone ever guessed the plot twist of one of your fics before you posted it?

I think my favorite guesses were when I was posting Lost in You Still and everyone was, like, adamantly convinced that Aang and Jaya had something going on. Honestly, it was a plot point I couldn’t even decide on myself, so I ultimately left it ambiguous and up to readers’ interpretation. I think there’s an argument either way.

Killing off Aang in LIYS was very badass of you😌

It did feel like a very dangerous move when I did it. I’m still terrified someone will chew me out for doing it. I will always live with that terror. It will haunt me forever.

But thank you for thinking it was badass! That makes me feel a lil cool.

I’m just over here feeling entirely overwhelmed by the fact that Lost In You Still hit 500 kudos sometime while I was sleeping!! 😭🥰 Given the major themes of the story, I never even expected it to hit 100 kudos or to have the positive response it got. Hi evergreen. I just re-read lost in you still and I was wondering, did Zuko and Katara have any more kids after Kya?

Hi, darling anon!

This is an idea that I went back and forth on A LOT. In my head, they were going to have another one, yes. And I thought it would be a girl (because I think Zuko would just be the best dad to a gaggle of girls).

But the story was so centered on the family that they couldn’t have. And they finally (FINALLY) got it. To me, it was critical that they spent time focusing on Bumi, Izumi, and Kya (and each other). So if they did ever end up having another kid, it would be after all those pieces in the final chapter came into place. Especially that final interaction between Bumi & Zuko. I think that, at that point, Zuko and Katara would finally feel like their family had come together and it would be fine to add another member to the mix.

1. Tell us about your current project(s)  – what’s it about, how’s progress, what do you love most about it?

I have...just so many WIPs at this point. We’ll stick with Covered in You for now since it’s one of my Zutara month pieces.

As most of you probably know, Covered is my attempt at the Ambassador Katara/Fire Lord Zuko trope. It’s literally just chapter after chapter of pining with no end in sight. And, this time, it’s Katara pining after Zuko (which is a delightful change after the hell I put Zuko through in LIYS)!

Progress is great! I just finished chapter ten which means I can start working on chapter eleven soon! Chapter six also just posted a few moments ago.

I love that this fic is just straight pining. They’re both oblivious dumdums at this point and I’m reveling in it!

2. Tell us about what you’re most looking forward to writing – in your current project, or a future project.

I have an idea for an addition to the A Delicate Balance universe! As soon as all of my current WIPs are finished, I’ll be starting on that. (It needs some time to percolate, still!) Its gonna be cute. 😉
