It’s the bully thing I’ve never understood where they seem to feel such malicious joy in stepping on someone who doesn’t have the means to fight back that they go hunting for the opportunity, I guess? Magnified a hundredfold through the uh general political climate of our times and the weird semi-public role fandom has in the public now... like man I’m literally sitting here bothering no one thinking about people kissing and having healing character arcs how can that be so upsetting to you guys that you’re seeking me out to gloat over imagined victories haha

(I always hate that you can’t even meet it with facts, because once the ‘he was a boy, she was a girl’ logic gets going it has a thousand years of momentum and nothing you ever say or do, however true and well thought out, can contend with it and uuugh)
