about many asoiaf fanfictions, hear me out:
ok, I know about the high probability of dying in childbirth, about the scarcity of health knowledge, and also about how it gives character depth and sometimes is also one less character to develop, but can we have one (1) oc/reader who has a mother who isn't dead (both physically dead or cut from oc/reader's life). I do understand how easier it is to develop a character that's based on trauma by the death of a parent, but can we have one mother that's present and alive and well? (I also understand how there are writers that just don't feel comfortable writing about a relationship with oc/reader parents for many reasons, and I am fine with that, really!)
I can give you a prompt if you'd like:
● oc/reader goes running to her mother for comfort as she did when she was a small child after something big happened between her and her s/o or anything at all in her life...
● it can be used as a prompt for a "recovering Daeron" kind of fic, like he had a relapse, and this made oc/reader feel helpless, and she runs for her mother for comfort.
or another one if you like to write pregnant oc/reader
tw: miscarriage
● she runs to her mother for comfort after another miscarriage
or
tw: child is sick/possible death
● her child has an illness that no maester understands and/or can cure.
honestly, I just don't write because I tend to procrastinate a bit too much, and I don't have the time now. But if you want to use any prompt from this post, feel free. I only ask you that if you are inspired, please tag me! I would love to read it!
also, if you have any recs, I would gladly appreciate them!!
