A/N: This may not be exactly what you had in mind when you requested this, anon, but I do hope you enjoy it!
Loki has tried his hand at writing poetry many, many times over his long life. He believes he’s good at it. He’s written enough to fill at least three books, so he’s gotten plenty of practice. He’s written about many topics, in both good and bad lights, and he is certain he could wax poetry about almost any topic with little to no difficulty at all. And if he did hit a road bump and find something he cannot manage to write about, then he could always do what he does best: he could lie. He could fake it until he makes it.
Loki cannot find the words to describe you, and he knows it would do you a disservice to bluff his way through it for the sake of words on paper.
He knows an extensive list of words to describe someone radiant, and kind, and beautiful, but none of them are good enough for you. They pale in comparison to you. In his mind, they do not hold a candle to whatever unknown and possibly nonexistent words that could accurately describe you. He knows that there are things that could only be painted in the mind with the use of metaphors, but no matter what words he thought of and what way he tried to phrase them, the only things that are painted in his mind are imperfect replicas.
His best attempts were still relegated to a waste basket. It’s the best honor he can give them. The other failures were just ripped up or burned out of frustration and a need to never let them see the light of day again. He’s tried to write just a few opening lines over and over and over again, and he can’t even find a good opening word. He knows he’s been working on this for too long for your tastes. He half expects you to barge in at any moment to drag him to watch a movie on the couch or to try some new recipe you made or do anything else in order to take a break.
Maybe that could be the fuel he needs to start this poem off right, he thinks. Your kind-hearted care for him, even when he was certain he doesn’t deserve it from you. He’s a god. He could give you anything you wanted, and if he couldn’t do that with certainty, then he would rip through Midgard and Asgard and any realm in between to do it. You were a mortal, and he wasn’t, and that meant you were more fragile than him, and thus, by all means, requiring more care than him. And yet you insist on taking care of him instead.
You cook for him. You buy him little trinkets and bits of jewelry. You try to convince him to rest when he’s focused on something “too hard”. And by all means, such little things shouldn’t make a god swoon as much as it made him, but he couldn’t help it. It’s not even the things themself that get him. Most of the recipes you find are a far cry from the recipes he grew up with in Asgard, and he’s certain that doesn’t need as much rest as you think he does, and he still does not understand why mortals are so obsessed with things with the first letter of their name on it.
But he understands why he likes all of those things. He likes them because you got them for him or because you made them for him. He liked the strange, overly complicated meals of Migard because you put the care into every small detail of them, because you wanted him well fed. He gets the sleep you think he needs, if only because it makes you happy and he likes laying and sitting next to you and getting to look at your satisfied smile. He likes the little souvenir bracelets and keychains you find with an L on them, and he loves the ones you got custom made with his full name on them, because you cared enough to ensure he got to properly participate in this silly little Midgard tradition.
But finding the words to say how much that meant to him properly is hard. It’s impossible, even. Starting a poem about how much you care about him and how much he loves that you care should be easy. There are millions of poems and figurative language expressions about this sort of thing. But did he want a poem dedicated to you to be derivative of another? Could he really make you something that was similar to something that common.
No. No, he can’t. You were rarer than one in a million. He couldn’t give you something that couldn’t be picked out of a million other poems just like it. He balls up another piece of paper and drops it into his desk-side trash bin and tries to come up with another premise for a poem.
Maybe he could write about another way that you are kind. You’re forgiving to him, more forgiving than many others would be. He’s done many things wrong, some on accident, many on purpose. Some of them were small things, like an occasional mean trick or needless lie. Many of them were large things, like trying to take over New York.
He’s not entirely certain why you forgave him for that one. You’ve tried to explain it a few times, and he understands the words that you’re saying to him, but he doesn’t understand how you can say those things with such sincerity. You mean them. He knows you mean them. But he thinks it will take every year and every moment of his immortal life for them to finally clock in his brain properly.
It’s not so much that you are willing to simply overlook those things. Loki wouldn’t like it if you did. That would just be naive. You know that he did all of those things. You acknowledge that he did all of these things. You acknowledge that they were bad and that while some of them had understandable reasons behind them, others did not. And you forgave him anyway. And everyday you continue to forgive him for those things and some of the things he continues to do out of habit.
But is forgiveness alone enough for a poem about you? If he wrote about all of the things that you forgave him for, would he really be writing a poem about you? No, he would just be writing about all of the things that he’s done wrong in his life. That was worse than writing a poem full of common metaphors for how much you cared for him. At least that was something about you. He couldn’t write a self-pitying poem about his own failures and try to pass it off as something made to show his love for you.
It occurs to Loki that maybe he could write about one of the things he loves the most about you: the way you loved him. It sounds selfish and self-centered and awful. He knows that. But it is also the truth. He loves the little things and little quirks about how you love him.
It isn’t just about how you care about the little things for his sake. It’s about things you do that he’s certain you don’t notice. The things that he’s certain you’re not doing intentionally.
You’re gentle with him. In your words, in your actions. He’s never heard a mean word come out of your mouth that was directed at him. At people who said things that weren’t true about him, of course, but never at him. And your touch is just as gentle and kind as your words. You hold him like he was made of glass. You kiss the back of his hand and tell him it was only fitting that you do that for royalty.
And you are one of the only people he knows who can when he’s lying. He’s met maybe one or two other people in his long life who have that ability. He knows how they did it. It was magic, both of them. But you? He doesn’t know how you’re doing it. He doesn’t sense any kind of magic from you. He has to assume that you can simply… tell. He has to assume that you’ve found some tell of his, that you pay attention enough to find something that no one else has.
And you don’t blame him for his lies. You don’t get mad at them. You sit and talk with him about the serious ones if if the hurt you, but he does what he can to not tell ones that hurt you. But you don’t get annoyed at the silly ones. He likes telling you the silly little lies that you claim are obvious. They’re more stories than anything, tales he makes up about how he met the Pope today, or about how he stopped a stampede of cats before he came home, or about how he had to eat the last donut because the world would end if he didn’t, or any of the millions of other things he’s come up with. Those little lies made you laugh. He likes hearing you laugh.
And that thought is what finally gives him his idea for his poem. He can’t just write about one thing with you. He has to write about all of it. If he is going to rant and rave on paper about you, then he needs to do that about all of you. If he was going to do this, then he had to do it right, and to do that, he needed to speak on all parts of you and your love.

Ljosalfgard, Alfheim
(Spellbinding Masterlist)
As the God of Mischief and Asgard’s most powerful practitioner of magic, it came to no one’s surprise that Loki possessed a natural aptitude for acting; after all, it could be said that acting and lying are simply two sides of the same coin and by the time Loki reached maturity he’d perfected both, weaponizing them against his enemies and proving himself worthy of his godly title time and time again. Yes, Loki was a conniving warrior with an arsenal of tricks up his sleeves, but it would come as a shock to many if they ever learned just how often he utilized his talents in his day-to-day life; it was second nature to hide his emotions behind a smirk and a sarcastic retort, to don a mask of indifference so that no one could see when their criticisms cut too deep or observe the true extent of his trauma. Loki’s involuntary recruitment into the Avengers in the wake of Malekith’s defeat allowed him to slowly open himself up to others – first (Y/N) and Thor, and then eventually the rest of their teammates – and while he welcomed their love and companionship with open arms and would lay down his life for any of them without a second thought, there were things that he couldn’t bring himself to tell them about his past, specifically the time he’d spent with Thanos on the Sanctuary.
Simply put, he’d been tortured by the Mad Titan and his Black Order for a year, his body and mind pushed to their absolute breaking points so that he could be reshaped into the perfect agent of chaos to lead the Chitauri’s invasion of Midgard. His wife, brother and friends all knew that it had happened, of course, but he’d never divulged any details of the horrific ordeal; just the thought of putting words to it all made him nauseated and caused his heart to beat erratically in his chest, so he vowed never to talk of it and hoped that with time, the pain and the grief would fade away on their own. No matter how hard he tried, however, he couldn’t stop the nightmares of his time in captivity from plaguing him, nor the overwhelming fear of the Mad Titan making good on his threats to punish him for his disobedience and ultimate failure.
“There’s nowhere to run, little prince.”
“You’re weak. Pathetic!”
“Your existence amounts to nothing, not without me to give you purpose. Glorious, glorious purpose.”
“Scream all you want, little prince, your people won’t come for you. You’re a monster in their eyes, remember? All you have in this cold, dark galaxy is me.”
“Sweetheart…? Loki?”
Startled, Loki’s head shot up to see (Y/N) standing before him, her arms crossed over her chest and her brows furrowed in concern as she studied him over the frames of her glasses. “I’m sorry, darling, I must’ve gotten lost in my own thoughts. Were you saying something?”
It was pointless to try and pass off the symptoms of his post-traumatic stress as a simple case of absentmindedness and punctuate it with a winning smile; his wife was no stranger to PTSD, having been diagnosed with it shortly after the Battle of Boston and her own near-death experience, and she’d always possessed an uncanny ability to see past his many carefully constructed facades. (Y/N), while unaware of the true extent of his inner turmoil, understood better than anyone what he endured on a daily basis and why he was not forthcoming about the root of it all, which was why she simply tucked a loose lock of black hair behind his ear, pressed a comforting kiss onto his forehead and gave him an understanding smile before crossing their suite’s bedchamber to slip on her brown leather boots. “I was just telling you that our guests are scheduled to land very shortly and that I’ve arranged for a small luncheon to be held at the library to welcome them. The last time they visited, I could tell that they weren’t exactly comfortable at Amirah’s royal banquet, so I made sure that today’s luncheon will be much more subdued for them.”
“That’s very considerate of you.” Loki cleared his throat and stood, rolling his stiff shoulders and making his way around the bed to retrieve his wife’s well-worn leather-bound notebook for her. “I’ll admit, I’m curious about these so-called Guardians of the Galaxy; by your descriptions, they sound unusually level-headed for those who proport to safeguard the entire galaxy all by themselves.”
“Well, I’m not sure I’d go that far; after they snuck out of the banquet, they got into the palace’s private stores of mead and their drunken antics around the city nearly caused an interplanetary dispute.” (Y/N) huffed in mild exasperation and pushed her slipping glasses back up her nose. “If it wasn’t for Elora and I and our quick thinking, the Freyr-Nova Treaty would’ve made history as the shortest-lasting trade agreement in the history of the Nine Realms.”
A month ago, while Loki was deployed on a mission to Siberia alongside Natasha and Bucky, (Y/N) had joined Queen Amirah in welcoming the Nova Empire’s ambassadors to Alfheim for the first time in over a thousand years. With Freyr’s barrier destroyed at long last, the Light Elves unanimously voted to re-establish their once-prosperous trade routes and shortly after, Thor journeyed via the Bifrost to Xandar, the capitol of the expansive Nova Empire, to negotiate on behalf of the newly-liberated planet; Nova Prime graciously agreed to Alfheim’s offer and a delegation was quickly dispatched, tasked with drafting a treaty that both Alfheim and the galaxy’s largest interstellar hegemony found acceptable. According to (Y/N)’s account, the Xandarian delegation had arrived alongside a rag-tag group of fighters called the Guardians of the Galaxy; they were similar to Midgard’s Avengers, albeit a little rougher around the edges, and they were escorting the delegation to Alfheim as a favor to Nova Prime, ensuring the Xandarians’ safety on the unfamiliar planet.
From what Loki gathered from his wife’s brief descriptions, the Guardians of the Galaxy were comprised of warriors from every corner of the universe and led by a half-Midgardian, half-Celestial man who called himself Star Lord. (Y/N) insisted that they were a spirited and friendly bunch but Loki was somewhat wary of them, drawing on his own experiences with mercenaries and soldiers-for-hire and their inherently greedy and duplicitous natures; however, he valued (Y/N)’s opinion above all else and for her sake, he vowed to keep an open mind throughout the Guardians’ visit. They were transporting a shipment of books for the newly-established Ljosalfgard Public Library, books from all across the galaxy that would be added to the library’s ever expanding collection for the enjoyment of all Alfheimians, and Loki was determined to see that (Y/N)’s massive undertaking for her people would continue on without any major setbacks.
“For someone who never formally studied the art of diplomacy, you’re exceptionally proficient at it,” Loki remarked, crossing the bedchamber and offering his wife her notebook with an admiring grin. “Although, living with the Avengers certainly provides one with plenty of practice.”
(Y/N) laughed and stood on her tip-toes to press a thankful kiss onto his lips. “You joke, but I had to negotiate a truce between Sam and Bucky yesterday and oversee an exchange of stolen goods; Sam borrowed Bucky’s favorite coffee mug without asking, so Bucky stole Redwing in retaliation.” She rolled her eyes as she tucked the notebook into her satchel; after fastening its flap closed, she held her arms out and twirled around in a circle. “How do I look?”
Catching her hands in his own mid-spin, Loki held her at arm’s length and appraised her appearance with an appreciative sigh. His wife always made it a point to dress in Alfheimian fashion whenever visiting her late mother’s realm, her way of honoring her ancestors and showing respect to her people, who’d slowly but surely grown to accept the half-human daughter of their beloved Princess Layeia Tilasdottir. Today, she’d elected to wear simple but traditional Alfheimian daywear: a white linen tunic tucked into a tan skirt – its hem embroidered with intricately designed florals – a dark green corset and well-worn brown leather boots, the ensemble made complete by the addition of her mother’s gold leaf earrings and a simple scarf holding her (Y/H/C) hair back. “You are the most beautiful…” Loki brought one of her hands up to press an exaggerated kiss onto her knuckles. “…ethereal…” He kissed the palm of her hand. “…gorgeous…” His lips trailed kisses up her arm while she giggled at his antics. “…sensual…” He placed one final kiss on her neck before pulling back with a roguish grin. “…exquisite woman in all of Alfheim, my love.”
“A very un-biased opinion, I see.”
“Opinion?” Loki scoffed as his wife intertwined their fingers and led him through their suite to the closed double doors. “Darling, I was stating several scientifically proven facts. If you don’t believe me, then perhaps we should forgo the luncheon and return to our bedchamber; actions speak far louder than words ever could, after all, even those uttered by a Silvertongue such as I.”
(Y/N)’s eyes twinkled and she hummed in interest. “Tempting, but it would be rude of us to neglect our guests. We can always revisit this topic of conversation tonight at our secret grotto in the forest, perhaps while we enjoy a midnight swim together?”
“Mmm, I do so admire the way you think, darling…” He purred, pressing a lingering kiss onto her lips before whisking one of the doors open and dipping into a dramatic bow. “Shall we?”
“We shall.” With an overly dainty curtsy, (Y/N) strode through the doorway and tugged Loki along with her, the pair of them walking happily down the palace hallway as any lingering thoughts of his nightmare vanished from Loki’s mind. Unfortunately, the peaceful little bubble they’d surrounded themselves in would soon shatter in one single, shocking moment…
The Ljosalfgard Public Library was a grand six-story building situated in the center of the sprawling city from which it took its name, with stone columns wrapped with flowering vines and slabs of colorful crystals hung over archways to act as rainbow-hued windows. A mural adorned the stone walls of the entry hall depicting the realm’s most historically significant moments, from the establishment of Alfheim as one of the Nine Realms of the cosmos by Lady Astrid and Laufey’s invasion and defeat at the hands of King Freyr and the Alfheimian Army to Layeia Tilasdottir’s failed rebellion against the treacherous Tarian and the recent Battles of Alfheim and Boston; the artwork depicting the Avengers battling the Draugar alongside the Alfheimian rebels and the Asgardian Einherjar – the unification of Alfheim, Asgard and Midgard – always brought a smile to Loki’s face, and he felt that the Alfheimian artist successfully captured the ferocious beauty that (Y/N), the one and only daughter of the Goddess of Love and Warfare, radiated in the heat of battle.
The interior of the library was still very much a work in progress; on the main floor, crates of books were stacked atop one another in an endless maze and the remaining floors were decorated with rows of empty hand-carved bookcases waiting to be filled. (Y/N) and the library’s board of directors were still finalizing the classification system, tentatively agreeing to separate books by their planet of origin and from there divide them by their specific subject matter, but until they completed their lengthy catalogue, the books would remain safely packed away in their crates. Sun shone through the circular skylight high above and filled the building with the warmest light and at night, clusters of crystals strategically placed throughout each floor glowed brightly.
Loki and (Y/N), deep in conversation about the world-building in Frank Herbert’s Dune and the ethical implications of its cultural appropriation, arrived at the library and were met with the sight of Hagen and Myriani helping the palace’s chefs arrange a table of food in the main floor’s conference chamber; Loki’s mouth watered at the sight of fresh-baked rolls, tender cuts of meat and iced pitchers of chilled mead, and while his stomach started rumbling, he found himself hoping that the Guardians of the Galaxy arrived sooner rather than later.
“Oh, everything looks wonderful!” (Y/N) left Loki’s side to converse with the chefs and thanked them for their services, her heartfelt praise bringing immediate smiles to their faces.
Too preoccupied with admiring his kindhearted wife, Loki didn’t notice the Alfheimian Royal Guards sidling up to him until Myriani softly spoke. “Sometimes when I look at her, I swear that I see Layeia and David standing in her place.”
Loki offered the guard a sympathetic smile. “The witches who raised my mother had a saying about grief: ‘Those we love can never be truly lost, so long as one knows where to look.’”
Hagen patted Loki on the shoulder, the force of the Alfheimian’s heavy hand nearly causing his knees to buckle as he released a heavy sigh. “Wise words, my friend. I only hope that (Y/N) harnesses her mother’s capacity for patience and suppresses her father’s predilection to irritability during today’s luncheon.”
“My darling (Y/N) puts up with my ridiculous family and all of the Avengers on a daily basis, so these so-called Guardians of the Galaxy cannot possibly be that bad…” Loki trailed off when he caught sight of Hagen and Myriani’s matching expressions of incredulity. “What?”
“They’re the most ill-mannered, obstinate ruffians that I’ve ever had the misfortune of meeting, and I once survived an encounter with the wild stallion Hófvarpnir.” Hagen shuddered. “The murderous rabbit tried bartering for my spear and proceeded to pilfer mead from the palaces private stores alongside that loud and annoyingly overly-literal tattooed warrior.”
Nodding in agreement, Myriani tightened her grip on her sheathed sword’s hilt and cast a furtive glance towards the library’s main entrance. “Let’s not forget the profanity-spewing talking tree, who gorged himself on sweet rolls before passing out in the palace gardens and whose branches nearly suffocated Queen Gretta’s prized moon roses. And I haven’t even mentioned that rakish half-Celestial and his empath sister; he openly flirted with Queen Amirah herself and the empath nearly made General Elora cry with only a single touch!”
Loki listened intently to the Alfheimians recount their experiences with their unusual guests, all the while wondering if the steadfast guards were exaggerating their tales of horror or if his kindhearted wife was sanding the rough edges off the Guardians of the Galaxy. I imagine it’s a little bit of both, he thought to himself with an inward chuckle; the Alfheimians had a penchant for formalities – even more so than Asgardians, he’d been surprised to learn – and conversely, (Y/N)’s compassionate nature could sometimes blind her to a person’s more disagreeable traits. “Well, my curiosity is certainly piqued now…”
Hagen and Myriani shared a knowing look with Loki before leaving to escort the palace chefs out, and he was quickly joined by (Y/N). “I can’t wait to see what sort of books our guests have brought us! My fingers are crossed for more historical accounts, but we could also use more children’s picture books and-oh, that reminds me!” She pulled her notebook out and jotted down a note as she rambled on. “I need to discuss the necessity of creating more library services for Alfheimians with print disabilities with the library’s board of directors. We’ve already started to translate each of our books into fingurknúar – that’s the Alfheimian’s version of Midgard’s Braille – and we’ve been recording audiobooks, but we can’t forget to bring in magnification aids as well. When I was working at the New York Public Library, we carried large type books and issued personal reading machines to patrons with visual impairments. I should ask Peter if the Nova have a device that works similarly, or maybe Tony could invent something similar; either way, it has to have the ability to be recharged via magic or possibly solar panels, since Amirah and the Council are still firmly opposed to fully bringing electricity onto Alfheim.” She looked up at him with an expectant smile. “What do you think?”
Loki, who’d been hanging on to every word of his wife’s impassioned speech and silently admiring her thoughtfulness, returned her smile and with utmost sincerity, replied, “I think that there’s no one more equipped to realize Layeia Tilasdottir’s dream than her brilliant, considerate daughter; thanks to your steadfast leadership, this library will be the crown jewel of Alfheim and solidify this realm as an epicenter of enlightenment and…” He found himself trailing off, entirely distracted from his attempts to commend his wife by the caterwauling emanating from the nearest street.
“The boys are back in town, the boys are back in town! The boys are back in tow-aow-a-won, the boys are back in town!”
“Give it a rest, Star Munch, you sound like a dying cat!”
“I’ll have you know that many people – namely women, lots of smokin’-hot women – have told me that I have the voice of an angel, so there. And it’s not Star Munch, Fur Face, it’s Star Lord.”
“I am Groot.”
“That was hurtful, Groot, and we’re definitely gonna have a talk about your language later. You think I’m a good singer, right Mantis?”
“Wait, you were singing? Drax told me that you were attempting the mating call of your people, Peter, in hopes of finding a romantic partner here who rivals your pathetic nature.”
“Seriously, Drax? Why the hell would you tell her that?!”
“What? Is that not an accurate description of singing as an activity, Quill?”
“And for your information, I already have a romantic partner and I’d like to see you tell her she ‘rivals my pathetic nature.’ I bet you a hundred credits that none of you have the guts!”
While Loki’s brow arched at the colorful exchange, (Y/N) sighed to herself and fought off an exasperated smile. “…That would be our guests.”
(Y/N) slipped her hand into his and he followed after her into the library’s entry hall, arriving just in time to catch his first glimpse of the infamous Guardians of the Galaxy as they ascended the building’s sloped ramp. Leading the motley crew was a human man, with windswept brown hair and jade-green eyes and wearing a burgundy leather jacket; a single glance told Loki that this was the half-Celestial that Myriani had spoken of but strangely, he couldn’t sense any of the otherworldly power that was supposed to flow through his veins. Spotting the old Midgardian MP3 player clipped onto his blaster holster and the earbuds dangling from the neck of his shirt, Loki realized that the scruffy, thirtyish-year old man was also the source of the earlier warbling and, by extension, Peter Quill, their self-described leader.
Loki’s gaze shifted over to Quill’s right and he studied the two incompatible beings with growing curiosity; the male cut a rather imposing figure, with rippling muscles beneath his grey and red skin and a deep scowl on his face, while the slender female was his exact opposite, her hands fidgeting as her pitch-black eyes flittered about and her glowing antenna swayed with each step. Looking to Quill’s left, Loki was forced to school his expression as his eyes settled on what appeared to be a young Flora colossus and an anthropomorphic raccoon; the sentient tree was shorter than Quill by nearly a foot and intensely focused on the rock it was kicking down the cobblestone street, while the raccoon studied their surroundings with his eyes narrowed in suspicion and one of his paws resting on the hilt of his holstered blaster. They were without a doubt the strangest ragtag collection of living beings that Loki had ever beheld, but it was clear to him that despite their obvious differences and their incessant bickering, they were a family through and through.
“How’s it goin’, your royal highness?” Quill greeted, his teammates’ earlier ribbing forgotten as he smiled brightly at (Y/N) and shook her outstretched hand. “I gotta admit, I didn’t think we’d be invited back here after what happened last time; from what the locals told us, you Alfheimians have one helluva vengeful streak.”
“That may be, but I know all too well what it’s like to be a fish out of water and I’d never blame someone for doing something drastic to ease their discomfort,” (Y/N) kindly offered, but she held fast to Quill’s hand when he started to pull back and fixed him with a pointed look. “In the future, however, Queen Amirah would appreciate it if you showed her realm and its people respect by refraining from indulging in a repeat performance.” Her irises briefly flashed bright purple as she sternly continued. “Otherwise, as the Defender of the Realm of Alfheim, I’ll be forced to take any and all necessary measures to ensure my people’s safety, Guardians of the Galaxy or not.”
Although Loki was not the intended recipient of (Y/N)’s implied threat, he felt a chill go down his spine and suppressed a smile when he saw that her words achieved their intended result; the leader of the Guardians chuckled nervously and extricated his hand from (Y/N)’s grasp with a stiff nod. “You betcha! We’ll be on our best behavior, won’t we?” A wide-eyed Mantis frantically nodded and Rocket grumbled under his breath while Drax stared unblinkingly and Groot watched a translucent butterfly flit overhead. “Yeah, that’s the spirit, guys. Nothin’ but good manners from us today!”
“Good!” (Y/N) beamed before gesturing for Loki to join her at her side. “Now that that’s out of the way, I’d like to introduce you all to my husband, Loki. Loki, this is Peter Quill – also known as Star Lord – his sister Mantis, Drax, Rocket and last but not least, Groot!”
Quill shook his hand and offered him a friendly smile. “It’s nice to meet you, Loki. (Y/N) told us a lot about you already; all good things, of course.”
“Likewise,” Loki replied, politely bowing his head at their guests while (Y/N) intertwined her hand with his once again. “I apologize for my absence during your initial visit, I was predisposed on Midgard. It’s a pleasure to finally make the acquaintance of the illustrious Guardians of the Galaxy.”
“‘Illustrious,’ huh? I like the sound of that! You know, it’s about time we got some proper recognition ‘round here.” Rocket nodded appreciatively, his dark eyes studying Loki curiously as he toothily grinned. “Last time we were here, your old lady said that you were a respectable sort of guy, and I guess she wasn’t lyin’.”
Loki frowned in confusion but before he could voice his inquiry, Drax spoke up. “Rocket, this woman is clearly not an old lady.”
“Oh, for the love of…it’s a figure of speech, you idiot!”
“It makes no sense!”
“I am Groot.”
Mantis placed a placating hand on the muscular warrior’s arm. “Groot is right, Drax. Perhaps she’s considered old by Terra’s standards.”
“Mantis, she’s younger than me…” An exasperated Quill pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed.
“Then you must be very old, Peter.”
Seeing the beginning of another argument taking shape, (Y/N) hastily stepped forward and gestured towards the library’s main entrance. “You’ve had a long journey and I’m sure you’re all famished, so I’ve had the chefs set up a mat-borð in the conference chamber; I hope you like sandwiches and iced mead!”
“You guys go ahead, I’ve gotta talk business with her royal highness. And don’t scarf down all the grub! Best behavior, remember?” The four Guardians wasted no time, disappearing into the library with hastily spoken words of thanks in search of their promised food, their disagreement long-forgotten; Loki took note of Hagen and Myriani’s reappearance and permitted himself a nod of approval when both Alfheimian guards followed after their honored guests without any prompting. “Nova Prime sends her regards, along with a couple of extra crates of books; she had the librarians on Xandar look through their archives for any spare copies, figured that they’d do more good here than sittin’ in their archives collecting dust.”
“Really?” (Y/N) beamed and excitedly clasped her hands together. “Oh, that’s wonderful! The next time you see her, please extent my thanks to her for her generosity.” She glanced around expectantly before returning her gaze to the half-Celestial with a serene smile. “I couldn’t help but notice that you’re short a couple of crew members. Did they elect to stay on Knowhere after what happened during your first visit?”
Peter chuckled. “Nah, they just drew the short straws when it came to offloading the cargo. They were pretty pissed about it, but it was worth it to see ‘em both lose for once.”
“A sight that you’ll never see again, Star-Lord, lest you wish to lose a limb.”
Loki, whose mind had started to wander as he mused about their planned rendezvous later that evening, stood ram-rod straight and felt his heartbeat quicken at the terrifyingly familiar voice that had cut through the air. Striding up the cobblestone street towards them were two women, one a green-skinned Zehoberei and the other a blue-hued Luphomoid, and both were guiding a fully loaded hover-cart with practiced ease, careful to mind the vendor’s stalls lining the street and the townsfolk who were going about their day. The polite smiles they exchanged with the merchants selling their wares and the respectful nods given to the curious Alfheimians that crossed their paths stood in stark contrast to the fierce snarls and bloodthirsty glares that Loki associated with the Daughters of Thanos, and they did nothing to quell his rising panic.
“You know, it’s not very polite to discuss maiming people in front of royalty,” Peter retorted with a reprimanding frown that was softened by the tender look he gave the Zehoberei before glancing back at (Y/N). “Not sure who’s the sorest loser, my girlfriend or her sister.”
The Luphomoid’s pitch-black eyes flashed dangerously. “If you say one more word on the subject, I promise that it will be you who’s the sore one.”
Loki’s throat tightened and he took an involuntary step back as the sisters approached, drawing (Y/N)’s attention. “Sweetheart?” Her soft voice was laced with concern but he was unable to tear his eyes away from the Daughters of Thanos, the memories of his torture by the Black Order’s hands consuming his mind while fear clutched at his heart with icy talons.
“Manners, guys, c’mon! You two already know (Y/N), of course, and this here’s her husband, Loki. Loki, this is Gamora and Nebula…”
The ringing in Loki’s ears only grew louder as both women’s heads snapped up and their widening eyes found his and for a terrifying, unending moment, he was back on the Sanctuary at the mercy of the Mad Titan and his bloodthirsty Black Order.
“There’s nowhere to run, little prince.”
“Loki? Sweetheart, what’s wrong?”
“You’re weak. Pathetic!”
“Dude, are you okay? You look like you’re gonna hurl-”
“Your existence amounts to nothing, not without me to give you purpose. Glorious, glorious purpose.”
“Your highness-?”
“Scream all you want, little prince, your people won’t come for you. You’re a monster in their eyes, remember? All you have in this cold, dark galaxy…is me.”
A feather-light touch on his wrist caused him to violently jerk back, and the daggers he hadn’t consciously summoned slashed through the air in a desperate attempt to defend himself. They connected with the blade of a sword with a resounding clang, jolting Loki out of his memories and wrenching his eyes open, his breath hitching in his throat at the mortifying sight he was met with; (Y/N)’s sword was raised high in the air, one hand gripping its hilt as she blocked his daggers while the other was encased by swirls of purple-hued Alf Seidr, the powerful magic creating a translucent barrier between the two of them and the three shocked Guardians of the Galaxy.
“Loki?” The warrior princess, now donned in the battle armor of the Cosmic Sorceress, stared up into his eyes without an ounce of fear but rather a look of profound concern for him. “Sweetheart, are you with me?” Loki’s hands trembled as he willed the daggers away and she quickly sheathed her sword, reaching out to him before suddenly stopping herself. “Is it all right if I touch you?”
Loki jerkily nodded and his wife’s hand moved to cradle the side of his face, her thumb softly tracing the line of his cheekbone; the gentleness with which she touched him and the warmth she emanated helped to calm his racing heart, but his panic was soon replaced by confusion as his gaze landed on the galactic trio just beyond her. “Those two women…t-they’re the Daughters of Thanos…”
“They were, but not anymore,” Peter hastily interjected, holding his hands up in a placating gesture and stepping as close as (Y/N)’s Alf Seidr would allow. “Gamora and Nebula turned against Thanos a couple of years ago and helped us take him down. They risked everything to save the universe from him, and we only ended up winning in the end because of them.”
Loki’s jaw slackened in disbelief. “Thanos…Thanos is dead? Truly?”
Nodding, Gamora removed her hand from her sheathed blade and started fiddling with the plethora of silver rings that adorned her slender fingers. “I dealt the killing blow myself.” She exchanged a solemn look with her sister, who swiftly returned her hardened gaze to her prosthetic arm. “His death means life for trillions of beings across the universe, Prince Loki, and freedom for my sister and I. We do not regret the choice that we made, but we lament that we didn’t have the strength to make it sooner.”
Loki, his entire body going numb as the news of his enemy’s death began to settle in, pursed his lips and forced himself to acknowledge the Zehoberei’s words with a short nod. While he grappled with a slew of conflicting emotions, he tried his best to rearrange his features to appear more neutral and mask the storm that was beginning to rage within him, but it was obvious that the only one he’d succeeded in fooling was the discomforted half-Celestial. “Well, now that we got all the Thanos stuff out of the way, where’d you want all these books?”
“I’ll, um…I’ll show you.” (Y/N) smiled tightly and with a wave of her hand, the magical barrier vanished and her Alfheimian daywear replaced her armor. “Loki, perhaps you could go ahead and let Hagen and Myriani know that the rest of our guests have arrived?”
Amidst Loki’s inner turmoil, (Y/N) stood as a beacon of light, subtly offering him a moment to compose himself away from prying eyes, and he couldn’t stop himself from leaning in and pressing a grateful kiss to her lips. “Of course, my love.”
He inclined his head towards the three Guardians before turning and striding up the entrance ramp, keeping his pace slow and controlled as he sought out the Alfheimian guards. After relaying his wife’s message, he excused himself from the entry hall and teleported to the library’s expansive roof, staggering back a step into the nearest statue with the force of his exhale and sliding down to sit against the cold marble. And as he stared off into the blue skies of Alfheim, tears silently streamed down his face while the fingernails digging into the palms of his hands, the sharp pain serving to remind him of the torture he’d been forced by Thanos to endure and the burden of shame he’d carried in silence ever since.
As the afternoon wore on, it seemed as though Hagen and Myriani’s earlier fears were unwarranted; the Guardians of the Galaxy, while undoubtedly rough around the edges, were nothing but cordial and respectful of Alfheim’s traditions and its many social conventions. The informality of the lunch arranged by (Y/N) seemed to put the intergalactic heroes at ease, and they mingled amongst their hosts while they enjoyed the sandwiches and iced mead; Peter talked (Y/N)’s ear off about Midgardian music and practically interrogated her about her favorite musicians and songs, Drax and Rocket compared weaponry with a vaguely uncomfortable Hagen while Myriani attempted to engage Nebula in small talk with minimal success, Mantis eagerly flipped through a Midgardian picture book about a cookie-obsessed mouse and Groot was eagerly scarfing down one of the brownies that (Y/N) had personally baked for their guests. Overall, it seemed as though the luncheon was an overwhelming success, indicative of his wife’s growing aptitude for diplomacy and her natural-born generosity.
I daresay their behavior is also due to my rather public episode earlier, Loki silently conceded as he watched the gathering from a quiet corner of the library; the food and drink he’d salivated over earlier sat untouched on a nearby desk, his stomach still too uneasy to handle anything, and he continued to anxiously fidget with his hands. It was all he could do to remain there in the library and refrain from teleporting himself back to the safety of their suite, to fight the urge to run just as he’d wanted to do the moment he’d been commanded to lead the Chitauri in their invasion of Midgard. But he remained, out of respect for his wife and her people and to project strength in the face of his emotional reaction to such earth-shattering news.
Heeled boots echoed across the marble floor and without taking his eyes off of (Y/N) standing in the distance, Loki knew exactly who was approaching and steeled himself for their impending conversation. “Are you enjoying the festivities, Lady Gamora?”
“Princess (Y/N) is a kind and generous host,” The Zehoberei replied and from the corner of his eye, he watched as she leaned against the nearest bookshelf and crossed her arms over her chest. “Our reputation often precedes us, so we’ve learned to expect that we’re to be paid and sent on our way the moment we complete a job. Needless to say, this is all a little strange for us, but we appreciate it more than we can ever say.”
Loki smiled wanly to himself. “My darling wife is welcoming to all, but she holds a special place in her heart for those whose reputations leave something to be desired.” He chanced a brief glance at the assassin. “Forgive me for prying, but considering our…shared history, may I ask how you and your sister-?”
“Became Guardians of the Galaxy?” Gamora supplied; while her subtle smile remained on her green-hued face, her ring-adorned fingers tightened perceptively around her biceps at his inquiry. “Nebula and I were ordered to retrieve the Power Stone for our father. Knowing how dangerous he’d become with even one Infinity Stone in his possession, we defied his order and betrayed him; we planned on finding the stone ourselves and selling it to secure our futures away from Thanos and his bloodlust forever, but fate had other plans in store for the two of us. We tracked the stone to Peter, who’d been attempting to sell it on Xandar, and in the ensuing fight, we became acquainted with Rocket and Groot, a bounty hunting duo seeking to capture Peter for the Ravagers’ bounty on him.”
“And where does your friend Drax fit into this story?”
“Oh, we met him in prison shortly after and he aided in our escape.” He hummed in interest, his earlier apprehension momentarily forgotten as he continued to listen to the assassin’s tale. “But when we met with the buyer my sister and I had sought out, he showed us all that the stone was truly capable of.” A faraway look crossed Gamora’s features and she stared off into space, the haunting emptiness in her eyes reminding him far too much of the sight that sometimes greeted him in his own reflection. “The death and destruction that Thanos wrought paled in comparison to all he could achieve with the Power Stone. We were suddenly attacked by Ronan, the radical Kree warlord who’d allied himself with our father in exchange for the obliteration of Xandar, and he stole the stone before leaving us all for dead. It was then that we decided to put our differences aside to defend Xandar alongside the Nova Corps, and we even managed to convince Peter’s old Ravagers faction to help us. Together, we succeeded in stopping Ronan and saving Xandar from destruction, and then…”
“You went after your father,” Loki supplied when Gamora’s words trailed off, and the assassin nodded stiffly as she twisted her silver rings around her fingers. “I cannot begin to imagine the weight of your decision that day. However, I would be remiss not to say that yours was the correct decision.”
Gamora pressed her lips together in a firm line and nodded again. “I do not mourn him. I mourn the little girl who was forced to watch as half of her people were slaughtered before her very eyes, who was taken from the only home she’d ever known and groomed to be a bloodthirsty, merciless warrior, who carried out the Mad Titan’s horrific orders for fear of her own life and who survived despite it all…” Her gentle brown eyes flicked over to meet his, her pupils shining with remorse. “I became a Guardian of the Galaxy to atone for my sins, to use the skills I’d been forced to hone since childhood to protect and defend others…but I have come to understand that there are many atrocities I committed as one of the Black Order that cannot be atoned for, and all I can do is tell you that I’m sorry for the part I played in your imprisonment.”
Closing his eyes, Loki took a steadying breath as his mind unwittingly flashed back to his year of captivity, his fingers absentmindedly tracing the places where his shackles had torn into the flesh of his wrists. “You were just as much a prisoner of Thanos as I was.”
“Be that as it may, it does nothing to negate the guilt I carry in my heart.”
Loki swallowed thickly and when one of his fingers grazed his gold wedding band, he opened his eyes and stared across the room at (Y/N), taking comfort in his wife’s calming presence. “After my defeat at the hands of the Avengers, I lived in fear that after failing to obtain the Space Stone and losing the Mind Stone in the process, Thanos would track me down as he once promised to do and kill me for my transgressions. A part of me was pleased when Odin decreed that I was to serve out my sentence on Midgard as an Avenger; it meant that my mother would remain safe on Asgard and away from Thanos. But in an unforeseen twist of fate, I ended up meeting the love of my life and unexpectedly grew closer to my one-time enemies, eventually coming to regard them as my closest friends as I fell in love with my darling (Y/N) and bonded with my brother…and with that, my fear of Thanos’ vengeance only compounded. Living with that dread, carrying it around in silence…in some ways, it was worse than the torture because this time, I had everything to lose.”
“…Truly, I cannot tell you how sorry I am-”
“I do not tell you this to lay any more blame on you or your sister, Lady Gamora,” Loki gently interrupted, looking away from (Y/N) to give the assassin the barest hint of a reassuring smile. “In fact, I wish to extend my gratitude.”
Gamora’s brow furrowed in confusion. “You’re…thanking me?”
“The knowledge of Thanos’ demise will never stop the nightmares from invading my dreams, nor will it magically erase all that I suffered by his hand, but what I can do now is live my life alongside my friends and family to the fullest without having to constantly look over my shoulder.” He inclined his head in the direction of her fellow Guardians of the Galaxy gathered together at the other side of the library. “A sentiment I presume you share…”
They watched from afar as Peter, grinning ear-to-ear, plugged his MP3 player into one of (Y/N)’s portable speakers and pulled her into a dance while the opening bars of Three Dog Night’s “Joy To The World” played throughout the chamber; Groot and Mantis danced enthusiastically near Drax, who was watching the pair dancing with a stoic stillness that was only betrayed by the slightest of lip twitches, and Rocket bobbed his heat to the beat while Nebula awkwardly swayed from side to side, looking far happier than Loki had ever seen her before as Hagen and Myriani listened to the Midgardian music with unbridled fascination. The group of oddballs reminded Loki so much of his own strange collection of friends back on Midgard, and his heart swelled with affection for them all; just as he’d told the assassin, his time as one of Thanos’ captives would remain with him forever, an indelible scar upon his mind and a collection of phantom pains all over his body, but the life he would continue to lead alongside his beloved wife, his brother and all their friends would help him heal and eventually come to terms with his trauma.
When Loki glanced over at Gamora, her stoic expression had softened into a tender smile as she watched the family she’d found after enduring a lifetime of fear and loneliness. “I do.” She met his gaze and her green-hued skin darkened with embarrassment when she realized she’d been caught, but her eyes never left his. “A word of advice, Prince Loki? Talk to someone about what you went through. It won’t seem like it at first, but putting words to all that happened will help you move forward and put Thanos behind you once and for all.”
“Hey guys!” They both looked over to see (Y/N) and Peter approaching, and the sight of both Midgardians beaming brought a smile to Loki’s face. “(Y/N) here said she’s gonna hook me up with a new music player, one she says can hold thousands of songs! Can you believe that? I’m gonna have so many more songs to jam out to while we’re flying the Bowie!”
Gamora’s eyes shone with fondness for Peter as she shook her head in playful exasperation. “Don’t you ever get tired of your Terran music?”
“It’ll be a cold day in hell when I stop listening to music, and it’ll be an even colder one when I stop dancin’ to it.” Peter’s grin only widened, and he held his hand out to his lover while wriggling his eyebrows. “How ‘bout it, my lovely lady? Ready to show these Light Elves how it’s done?”
While her green-hued cheeks darkened and a bashful smile brightened her features, Gamora placed her hand in Peter’s and allowed him to lead the two of them back towards the others. They truly found happiness after the horrors they endured, Loki observed as he watched Gamora joyfully twirl across the floor with her lover and Nebula laugh alongside their friends. In the past, it was a notion that would have undoubtedly angered him, the idea that the Daughters of Thanos would in any way be deserving of a peaceful life, but his time on Midgard had taught him to be more empathetic and less hasty in his judgements of others; Gamora and Nebula had suffered greatly at the hands of Thanos and the Black Order and to make up for the atrocities they’d committed in their adoptive father’s name, they turned against him and ensured that he would not live to see his grand plan come to fruition, much like how Loki had joined the Avengers and fought to protect the planet he’d once terrorized. By all intents and purposes, the sisters had earned every bit of their happiness, and Loki was content to know that they too had found a way to move on with their lives.
“Loki?” Turning away from the joyful sight, Loki met (Y/N)’s concerned gaze and watched as she tentatively slipped her hand into his. “Are you okay, sweetheart?”
Loki smiled, bringing their joined hands up to his lips and reverently kissing her knuckles. “I will be, my love.”
(Y/N) returned his smile with one of her own, but he could tell by the look in her eyes that she wasn’t convinced. “I know that the time between Thor’s banishment and the Battle of New York isn’t something you’re comfortable talking about with me or Thor or our friends, but you’ll talk about it with someone, won’t you?”
Thinking back on Gamora’s similar request and how content the sisters were in their new lives as Guardians of the Galaxy, the all-to-familiar shame that reared its ugly head whenever Loki stopped to think about his unspoken trauma was markedly absent, and he felt the knot of tension he’d carried for so long in his chest begin to loosen; it was still there, as were the memories and the phantom pains, but it was no longer all-consuming as it had once been. “I will, darling. You have my word that I will.”
Loki held his wife’s hand flat against his chest and cradled her cheek before leaning down and capturing her lips in a gentle kiss, smiling against them as she wrapped her free arm around his waist and pulled him closer to her. When they were finally forced to separate for air, (Y/N) guided his head down and pressed a lingering kiss to his forehead before pulling away and nodding towards the raucous gathering across the library. “Our guests are interested in getting to know you; it seems that they stumbled across a book of Norse Mythology in that shipment from Xandar and were looking forward to learning if the stories about you were true, particularly the one about the goat-”
“Damn Fandral and his drunkenness! That Norns-forsaken goat story will never cease to haunt me, will it?” Loki groaned while (Y/N)’s shoulders shook with silent giggles. “I don’t suppose that our new friends were joking about having questions about that specific story, were they?”
“No, but I think it’s only worked to boost your favorability with them; they’re talking about taking you to the pub down the road after the luncheon and buying you a drink.” (Y/N) smiled adoringly up at him. “You see, I’ve told them quite a lot about my husband’s daring exploits over the centuries, and they’re quite eager to hear more about his adventures directly from the source.”
“Well, then, as I’m not one to keep a captive audience waiting…” Loki trailed off with a growing smile, giving her one last kiss before gallantly offering her his arm. “Shall we, my love?”
(Y/N) laughed as she gave him a sweeping curtsy and wound her arm around his. “We shall, my silly God of Dramatics.”
They made their way over to their guests and spent an enjoyable afternoon socializing with their new friends, sharing stories and laughter over pints of mead and departing with promises to meet again soon. While saying their goodbyes to the Daughters of Thanos, a silent understanding passed between Loki, Gamora and Nebula; the three of them were bonded not only by the trauma inflicted upon them by Thanos, but by the fierceness with which they’d fought to live their lives despite their trauma. Watching Peter slip his hand into Gamora’s while they walked up the ramp of the Bowie and Rocket excitedly explain to Nebula his ideas for improving her various cybernetics, Loki sent a silent word of thanks to the Norns on the sisters’ behalf, satisfied in the knowledge that they were where they belonged and hopeful in the wake of hearing about Thanos’ demise that he too would achieve the same sense of inner harmony. And that night, holding his wife close in the serene silence of their bedchamber, Loki slept peacefully for the first time in four years.

Summary: Fear of rejection prevents you from proclaiming your love to the God of Mischief. Little do you know he's suffering the same fear. Thor picks up on the mutual pining and tries to be a good friend and bro. Except his meddling backfires terribly. Loki now thinks you and Thor have feelings for each other and begins behaving like a jealous childish ass nearly pushing you toward the edge of madness with his nonstop mischief. Now Thor needs to fix the mess he made.
Thinking back, it all seemed to start after a casual conversation with Thor. He was telling stories of his adventures on Midgard, and you simply said you wished you could see the places he was talking about. So, he made your wish come true and took you on a day trip to Midgard, to New York specifically. Showed you the places he spoke about and introduced you to his friends. You had a wonderful time.
After that conversation with Thor a certain God of Mischief began an onslaught of pranks, games and overall, well mischief, toward you. You don’t know what’s gotten into Loki, but he’s getting progressively worse. And his general mischief that he used to share amongst others is now solely being focused on you.
Admittedly you’ve been madly in love with the dark-haired prince for quite some time. Out of fear of rejection and his seemingly only friend-like feelings toward you, you never let on to your true feelings.
Your secret feelings however, have been put on the back burner. Because of his ongoing nonsense he has you on edge and you’re just about ready to pummel his pretty face if he doesn’t knock it off. But getting him to stop seems to be easier said than done.
It’s early in the morning, your day is just beginning. You don’t bother with breakfast today. It will likely grow wings and fly off, or whatever ridiculous scheme Loki has plotted for you today. Instead you get dressed and go to the closet to grab your armor. You have training today with Sif.
When you blindly grab your armor from a dark closet you immediately know it feels too light. So, you pull it out and step into the sunlight coming through the window so that you can see. “Loki!” You growl angrily. Your so-called armor now looks child sized.
You’re going to kill him.
But maybe before committing murder you’ll try speaking to Thor one last time.
Walking through the palace you take the long way to the training area. You go out of your way to pass through the dining hall. First you see Frigga. She smiles at you kindly when she sees you. So, you smile back. But the moment you see the man that is a constant thorn in your side as of late you glare daggers at him. You get more angry when he sees you and smiles smugly at you in response.
“Morning Allmother.” You say kindly to Frigga as you approach the table while casually grabbing Loki’s glass of juice and subsequently pouring it into his lap. Before he can get any words out you point at him angrily. “You know what you did.” You hiss. Then storm out of the room.
“Have a nice day dear.” Frigga calls out to you as you leave, not at all surprised about what she just witnessed. Once you’re gone she crosses her arms and gives her son a pointed look. “What have you done now to that poor girl?”
Loki shrugs, biting back a smirk. “I’m honestly not sure which indiscretion this was for.” He says as he gestures to his now soiled slacks covered in juice.
Frigga rolls her eyes, shaking her head. “I’m saying this as a woman, not as your mother. Your current methods are not going to work. You’re getting that girl’s attention, but not in the way you want. Why don’t you court her properly if you’re so fond of her?”
Loki looks away suddenly finding the floor more interesting as he squirms uncomfortably in his seat. “Thor beat me to it. But it would not matter anyway because she doesn’t see me in that way.” He mutters.
“Has she told you she doesn’t see you in that way?” Frigga questions curiously.
“No.”
“Has she said she sees Thor in that way?”
“Not sure.” Loki says with an annoyed sigh, tired of this line of questioning.
“You silly boy.” Frigga chuckles. “Then how do you know anything if you do not ask? Stop making assumptions and use your words and not your magic on her."
Sif gives you a confused look when you arrive at the training arena without your armor. “Please tell me you have armor to spare.” You ask with an exaggerated sigh.
“What happened to yours?” She questions.
“Loki.” You say through gritted teeth. His name being all the explanation you need to give.
Sif nods her head. “Probably should have guessed that.” She says as she walks away to retrieve her spare set of armor. She tosses it in your direction. “Not sure how well it’s going to fit you. But while you work that out I’ll get started with the others.”
You wave Sif off after you call out a quick thank you. You’re not sure how well her armor will fit you either. You two aren’t exactly the same size. Your spare set was damaged in the last battle the Asgardian Army encountered and you never replaced it. Now you’re coming to regret that.
“Having trouble?” A deep yet kind voice calls out from behind you.
You turn around and see Thor headed toward you. “Yes, you could say that.” You grumble as you try getting the breast plate to fit your frame.
Thor frowns once he’s standing in front of you. “This isn’t your armor…”
“Loki.” Again, the only response or explanation you need to give is his brother’s name and he immediately understands.
Thor’s eyebrows raise in surprise. “He messed with your armor? Now, that is taking things too far. What if we were called into battle? You’d have no protection.”
“Exactly!” You growl, but feel validated by Thor’s response. “Which brings me to what I wanted to speak with you about. Do something about your brother, or I swear to make you an only child.”
Thor’s face lights up, and he starts laughing. You know he’s not laughing at you, only at your words. “As tempting as being an only child sounds, I promise you I’m working on your Loki problem.”
“But how?” You whine, stomping your foot petulantly. “That’s what you told me last week, and the week before that!”
Thor holds his hands up placatingly. “Lady (Y/N), do you trust me?”
You huff, slumping your shoulders. “Yes, you know I do.”
“Then trust me when I say I’m handling it, alright?”
You search Thor’s eyes. Like always all you see there is honesty. He’s never been one to lie or deceive. His brother does enough of that for the both of them. Thor is a very dear friend to you and you do trust him, he’s never given you a reason not to. But on the other hand, Loki has you at your wits end.
Putting your hands on your hips you take in a deep breath as you lock eyes with Thor. “I trust you completely. I truly do. But I’m giving you a week. Beyond that my actions can’t be held against me, because that brother of yours is pushing me!”
“Alright, fair enough.” Thor chuckles. “For now, let me help you with this armor. We’ll try to make it work for today.”
After Thor helps you with your temporary armor situation you end up training with him because everyone else was already partnered up and mid training with someone else.
The borrowed armor doesn’t work out well. The weight is off, compared to your own, on top of it not fitting you correctly. So after about the tenth time of Thor knocking you down you decide to just be done with today.
“That’s it! I give up! He’s ruined my entire day and it’s barely lunch time.”
Thor snorts out a laugh as he lays on top of you. You at least managed to pull him down with you as you fell this time. “You skipped eating again this morning, didn’t you? You get cranky when you skip breakfast.”
“Because your brother is slowly trying to kill me. He keeps messing with my food. Yesterday my toast suddenly grew wings and flew off. So yes, I’m more than a little cranky Thor!”
Thor leans on his elbow, seemingly making himself comfortable on top of you. “He is being very childish, but I don’t think he’s trying to kill you.” He starts, pausing briefly when he sees movement in the corner of his eye, realizing the two of you are being watched. Watched by Loki specifically.
Thor keeps his eyes on you, and brushes some stray hair away from your eyes. “How about we call it a day, eat a big lunch together. Then tonight I’ll help you forget all your troubles. You can get as good and drunk as you want. How does that sound?”
You can’t help but laugh as your stomach starts growling, audibly telling on you about how hungry you are. Caught up in conversation with Thor, you don’t see Loki. You don’t see the heartbroken look on his face as he watches you and Thor. The hurt in his eyes turns to anger as his magic slowly seeps out of him and goes to work. He had come with the intent to follow his mother’s advice and attempt speaking with you, but all sense of reason went out the window the moment he saw Thor lying on top of you.
“Food and drink sound like an excellent offer.” You smile. Then your smile falters when you hear a hissing sound. You turn your head and see dozens of snakes slithering toward you.
You hate snakes.
And Loki knows it.
“Snakes!” You scream the second you see them and quickly shove Thor off of you as you jump to your feet. Thor on the other hand likes snakes so he’s not the least bit bothered. He just laughs it off as he pulls himself off the ground.
“Fucking Loki!” You squeal as you jump on Thor’s back to get your feet off the ground to keep the slithering snakes from coiling around your legs.
“Is this what you wanted brother?” Thor says with a raised brow, making eye contact with Loki off in the distance. You’re too busy screaming about the snakes to hear Thor’s voice. What you don’t know is that Loki has feelings for you. Thor is aware of it, and has been trying to get his stubborn brother to admit his feelings. Instead it backfired and turned Loki into a childish ass. Now Thor has a week to turn this mess around before you turn matters into your own hands.
“Another!” You yell, throwing your empty glass on the floor.
“Are you sure you can handle another?” Thor questions even though he already has another glass of ale ready in his hand.
Your body sways side to side in your seat as you point your finger grumpily at him. “You said I could get as good and drunk as I wanted.” You pause when a drunken hiccup escapes you. “Give me more.”
“You’re right, I did say that.” He smiles, handing you another drink. “Have you forgotten all your troubles yet?”
Chugging down half the glass you slam it on the table and wipe your mouth off with the back of your hand. “Nope, they won’t stop looking at me. Up yours, your royal highness, pain in my ass!” You yell the last part in Loki’s direction.
Thor glances over his shoulder, not surprised to see his brother grumpily watching. He can’t understand why Loki gets so tongue tied around you and loses his confidence. He thought if he pretended to have romantic feelings for you that it would force his brother out of his shell and admit his own true feelings. Boy was he wrong. “Why don’t you go talk to him then?” He says when he turns back and looks at you.
“Me?” You squeak, pointing at yourself. “What good will that do?”
Thor shrugs, his face skews as he tries to find the right words. “When you’ve been drinking you tend to be more open. No holds barred.”
Finishing off your ale you slam the empty glass on the table once more. “Alright, fuck it.” You hiccup, pushing your sleeves up as you get up from the table.
Loki’s eyes go wide, almost panicked when he realizes you’re making a beeline for him. You sit down on the bench next to him. Like right next to him, your thighs are touching and he can feel the heat radiating from your body. His jaw drops as he crosses and then uncrosses his arms. Looking uncomfortable, unsure how to sit or behave.
“Hi.” You blink your eyes trying to remember why you came over here in the first place.
“Hello.” He mumbles back with a confused frown.
You snap your fingers when you remember what you wanted to say to him. Leaning your elbow on the table you prop your head up in your hand and look at him. “Why do you hate me? We used to be friends.” You pout, sticking out your bottom lip.
“I-I don’t hate you.” Loki stutters, surprised you think that. “I could never.”
“Then why?” You ask calmly. Then slam your palm on the table. “Tell me why?!” You yell less calmly.
He opens and closes his mouth almost resembling a fish, but no words come out. So he takes a deep breath and tries again but his tongue gets caught in his throat when you lean in closer to him. The entire side of your body is pressed against his. “Tell me why you like Thor?” He suddenly blurts out.
Thor is a good friend. He’s always got your back and your best interests at heart. You blink your eyes trying to get them to focus and see Loki looking at you expectantly. That’s when you realize you just said all of that in your head, not out loud. “Thor’s the best.” Is all you manage to slur out as all that ale you drank catches up to you.
“Of course, that’s what everyone thinks, right? Thor’s better!” Loki hisses as he gets up and storms away.
Thor, having seen Loki angrily storming away, runs over to the table to catch you as you start to tip sideways. “Alright my friend, I think it’s time for bed.” He chuckles as he lifts you up.
“Okay.” You groan, leaning your head against his shoulder.
“What did you say to make Loki so upset?” Thor asks as he carries you out of the room.
“Thor’s the best.”
“Well that plan backfired as well.” He grumbles to himself.
Quietly stepping out of Thor’s bedroom you lean against the door and groan as you rub your temples. Your head is pounding and you feel like shit. Today will definitely be spent nursing this hangover. Thankfully Thor let you sleep in his room so that you could have a night of peace without Loki messing with you. He had to leave to go back to Midgard so he didn’t mind loaning you his room for a night.
“You slept with my brother?” You suddenly hear Loki’s low and angry voice. “He didn’t even care that you were intoxicated, did he?”
After rubbing your eyes, you slowly drop your hands and blink your eyes open. “What the hell are you babbling about?”
Loki’s giving you a look of disappointment as he points toward Thor’s bedroom door that you’re still leaning against. “Did you enjoy yourself?”
“It’s too early for this shit.” You mumble to yourself.
“Well, did you? Did you enjoy fucking my brother?” He hisses.
Pushing yourself off the door with a tired sigh you step to Loki and immediately slap him across the face. “How dare you speak to me like that! He was loaning me his room to sleep the liquor off and give me a night of peace without your meddling nonsense! He’s not even here, he went to Midgard last night.” You growl, giving him a shove as you push past him. “You are an unbelievable asshole! And to think I used to stick up for you.”
Loki’s eyes go wide and he wishes he could turn back time and take back his words. “(Y/N), no wait…”
“Fuck you, leave me alone!” You say as you run off with tears in your eyes.
You end up spending the entire day in your room and refuse to speak to anyone. Thankfully Loki seems to have listened for once and he leaves you alone. No pranks or attempted mischief in your direction.
That night Thor returned from a short trip to Midgard and came to check on you. Servants had overheard the conversation between you and Loki so word got around fast. Knowing you were refusing visitors he just lets himself into your room.
You look over your shoulder from your position on the bed to see who dared enter your room. “Thor, I really don’t feel like talking right now.”
He sighs as he sits down on the bed beside you. “I know I heard what happened, and I’m sorry. I need to confess something to you. Loki’s behavior…well it’s my fault.” He says lowly with a guilty look in his eyes.
You frown pushing yourself upright on the bed. “I don’t understand. What do you mean?”
“It’s quite adorable how oblivious you are when it comes to matters of the heart. Because you are incredibly smart, amongst the long list of incredible things about you.” He says with a small smile. “I’ve seen the way you and Loki look at each other when the other isn’t looking. You both pine for each other thinking the other does not feel the same. So, I thought if I meddled a little it might give Loki the push he needed to proclaim his love for you.”
You sit there staring at Thor just blinking your eyes, trying to take in that bomb he just dropped on you. You honestly can’t believe, especially after his behavior lately, that Loki has romantic feelings for you. He’s never let on that he may have felt that way about you. “I’m still confused. But what do you mean by meddled? What did you do?”
He gives you a sheepish smile, rubbing a hand on the back of his neck nervously. “I thought perhaps if I pretended to have a romantic interest in you that he would get jealous and admit his feelings and claim you as his own. Well he certainly got jealous, but not in the way I had planned.”
You gasp, and then point at Thor accusingly. “His sudden awful behavior toward me is your fault?! Wait….when did you pretend to have feelings for me?”
Thor snorts out a laugh. “You didn’t notice, because we are comfortable in our friendship. We know we are only friends. So, an extra touch, or embrace didn’t cause you to think twice. Loki however noticed every bit of it. Also he thought our trip to Midgard was a date.”
“Okay, this is a lot to take in.” You nod a few times, trying to wrap your head around this mess. “What if I just sucked it up and told him all of this? Admit the feelings I too have been hiding and in return tell him to admit his?”
Thor shrugs, shaking his head. “Loki is complicated.” He starts. “I don’t know what it is about you but he seems to lose all sense of reason and self confidence and gets tongue tied around you. That’s how smitten with you he is. But as you know he has deeply rooted trust issues. So, I fear if you do that he’ll take it as a farce as if you’re trying to pay him back. We need to get him to admit his true feelings first.”
“Oh Thor.” You sigh tiredly. “I appreciate the grand gesture of what you were trying to do, but boy did you make a mess.” You chuckle.
“I know.” He sighs, then holds his index finger in the air. “I have one more idea. I really think this may work.”
You look at him skeptically. So far, his great ideas haven’t panned out. “Let’s hear your idea.”
Thor enters the dining area where his parents and Loki are already seated and eating their meal. “Sorry for my tardiness.” He says as he takes a seat at the table.
“Where have you been, my son?” Frigga asks curiously.
“I was on a walk with Lady (Y/N). She had something she urgently wished to speak with me about.” Thor says to his mother as he watches his brother in the corner of his eye.
Loki drops his silverware, it makes a heavy clink against his plate the moment he hears your name come out of Thor’s mouth. He hasn’t seen you since his regrettable behavior and hurtful words outside his brother’s room.
Frigga too is in on Thor’s plan so she keeps her focus on Thor. “Is everything alright with her? I heard she was unwell yesterday.”
Thor nods, pausing the conversation to take a bite of food. The anticipation slowly killing Loki as he waits to hear what you wanted to speak to Thor about. “She’s decided she needs a change of scenery for a while. She wants to go to Midgard. I’m going to go get her settled there this evening. Not sure when she’ll be back.”
With that Loki’s chair squeaks as he pushes away from the table and abruptly leaves the room without a word. Thor and Frigga smile at each other as they watch Loki disappear, hoping everything pans out this time. Odin looks around confused. “What did I miss?”
You startle when your bedroom door flies open and you see Loki storming inside. You roll your eyes at him. “Now you think you are privy to my sleeping quarters? Go away Loki.”
“Is it true?”
“Is what true?” You huff as you turn your back to him and continue packing your bag.
“You’re leaving, going to Midgard?”
“Yep.” You retort curtly. “What’s it to ya?”
“You can’t do that!” He blurts out as he approaches you. He steps to the side of the bed where you’re standing, holding his hands in the air like he’s surrendering. Then tries a second time, but more calmly. “Please. Please don’t do that.”
With a heavy sigh you pause what you are doing. Crossing your arms over your chest you turn to face him. “And why not? I don’t know what’s gotten into you, but I can’t take it anymore. Especially with how you last spoke to me. I thought we had respect for each other.”
“We do. I do. I swear. I didn’t mean for things to get this out of hand.” He says as he slowly drops his hands to his side, wearing a guilty look on his face.
You scoff at his words. “Explain to me what I did to deserve…” You wave your hands around gesturing to him. “…this.”
“Explain to me why you like Thor so much?” He blurts out, his mouth moving faster than his mind.
You roll your eyes at him for a second time. “Again, with Thor. Why must you always try to compete with him? What is so terrible about him and I being friends? I thought you and I were friends? I’m failing to see the issue here. What does Thor have to do with anything?”
“Everything! He has everything to do with it! He gets whatever he wants while also taking the things I want!” He yells as his temper flares.
“What do you want!?” You scream back at him.
“You! I want you!”
“Then take me!”
Suddenly you're being grabbed by the shoulders and shoved up against the wall. You barely have a moment to blink before his lips are crashing against yours.
It takes a second or two for your mind to process what is happening. His soft lips are moving against yours, devouring you. Once you realize this is really happening you put a hand on the back of his neck pulling him closer and deepening the kiss.
Caught up in the moment and no longer thinking rationally, Loki picks you up by your thighs. Then you instinctively wrap your legs around his waist as he carries you over to the bed. He drops you down on the bed but you refuse to remove your lips from his and pull him down with you.
Your fingers tangle in his hair. His tongue dances with yours as his hands roam your bare skin. Wait…when did you take your clothes off?
“Magic.” Loki growls against your lips, answering the question you didn’t realize you said out loud.
Feeling his bare skin against yours you return the favor and let your hands roam his body. Getting more turned on by each moment and beginning to feel your core start to ache you beg against his lips. “I said take me Loki. Please take me.”
With his lustful mind still in control he doesn’t hesitate to give you what you ask. He spreads your legs wider as you feel the tip of his cock pressing against your entrance. Then in one swift motion he pushes his hard cock inside you.
You gasp feeling the burn as he stretches you, his size is impressive.
He detaches his lips from yours and moves his lips to your neck sucking a deep red mark into your skin. “Tell me you’re mine.” He says in a commanding voice that makes you wetter.
“I’m yours. Only yours.”
He growls, but you feel him smiling against your skin. Then without warning he pulls his cock out and slams it back into your heat. “I’m claiming you. All of you.” He says and then starts slamming into you at a punishing pace.
Your eyes roll back, unable to form a coherent thought if you tried. Only feeling the pleasure he’s giving you at this moment. Your nails pinch into his shoulders and drag down his back leaving deep red marks along the way.
He’s pounding into you so hard your head starts banging against the headboard of the bed. Hell you’re not sure how the bed hasn’t broken yet. But he quickly has you a moaning mess writhing beneath him. Rolling your hips you try chasing your own orgasm.
“You better scream my name, so all can hear the pleasure I bring you.” He demands, realizing how close you are.
You move your hands to his ass, spreading your legs wider, and try pushing him deeper. Trying to take every inch of him. He hits that sweet spot over and over, feeling an explosion inside of you. You cry out with his name on your lips. Your legs shaking, body quivering, and chest heaving as your orgasm washes over you.
He gives you a couple more hard thrusts before he buries his cock deep inside you. His cock pulsating, filling you with his seed. Marking you on the inside as his.
He gently pulls out of you and moves to lay down beside you. Both of you remain quiet trying to catch your breath and come down from your highs.
After a few moments you realize Loki is uncharacteristically quiet so you turn your head and look at him. He's lying stiff, staring at the ceiling with wide eyes. The lustful haze now waning allows his rational mind to take over again. Realizing the gravity of what just occurred. He gulps audibly. “What just happened?”
“Uh, if I have to explain that to you then I think we did it wrong.” You chuckle.
“No, not that.” He slowly turns his head and makes eye contact with you. Eyes full of worry and confusion. “What does this mean?”
You didn’t see it before, but now that Thor has pointed it out you see the self doubt in his eyes. He well and truly can’t believe you might requite his feelings. You roll over so that you’re now lying partly on top of him. Your bare upper half pressed against his chest which just makes him look more lost and confused. “It means that I’ve had feelings for you for a very long time. You hide your feelings so well I had no idea that you had any romantic feelings for me. Until now.”
“But what about Thor?” He says still looking disbelieving.
You can’t help but roll your eyes. His constant competitiveness with Thor can be exhausting. “There has never been nor will there ever be anything romantic between me and Thor. We are only friends.”
He looks relieved by your words, but still confused. “I don’t understand.”
“I didn’t understand either.” You chuckle. “I just found this out an hour ago alright? He confessed to me that he had done some meddling that backfired. He figured out we had unspoken feelings for each other and thought if he pretended to be interested in me you would get jealous and confess your own feelings for me.”
Immediately you see the hurt and anger in his eyes and you’re sure he’s feeling some sort of betrayal right now. Which is what you and Thor were both worried would happen. So you put your hands on his face, making him look at you. “Loki, regardless of what Thor did, my feelings for you are still true. I love you.”
He stares at you with a hopeful look in his eyes. His eyes search yours for the truth but you can tell he’s torn. That’s when you realize he’s going to need more convincing. As Thor said he has deeply rooted trust issues. So you take his hand, pressing his palm against your forehead. You know with his magic he can see your memories. “Go on, see for yourself.”
There’s a flash of green and it only takes him but a moment to see all he needs to see. His eyes soften, his muscles untense as he looks you in the eyes. “I love you too.” He says just before pulling you back down for a kiss. This kiss is far less frenzied and demanding than the previous ones. It’s slow and deep, and most of all meaningful. When he breaks the kiss he cups your cheek in his hand. “I’m sorry for not believing you. I have many things I should be apologizing for, it seems. It was just the thought of Thor having you was driving me mad.”
“I’m willing to let it all go if you promise going forward if something is bothering you that you simply speak to me about it, and never speak to me harshly again.”
He nods his head. “I swear it. I really am sorry. ” He says, pressing one more quick but soft kiss to your lips. “Does this mean you’re really mine now?”
“I am.” You grin. “Now that you have me, what are you going to do with me?”
He smiles at you mischievously as he wraps his arms around you and flips you over with a growl. Now he’s lying on top of you. “There are a great many of things I’d like to do with you.” He says as he draws circles in your skin with his finger. His mood now completely changed, more like the Loki you know and love. “But first, might I ask a favor of you?”
“Sure what is it?”
“Help me teach that big dull buffoon a lesson for meddling in our affairs and toying with me.”
You smile putting your hands on his handsome face. “There you are. That sounds more like you. Now, what did you have in mind?”
Thor hurriedly tries making his way to your sleeping quarters. A couple servants came and told him they overheard you and Loki arguing again. He doesn’t know what could have possibly gone wrong this time. This plan should have worked.
“You are a nightmare! I cannot believe I ever felt a thing for you! You can go to hell!” You yell, your voice echoing through the halls. Thor rounds the corner and sees you standing in the hallway with a duffle bag in one hand while you angrily poke your finger into Loki’s chest. The moment you see Thor though you direct your anger toward him. “And you!” You point to Thor accusingly. “This is all your fault! I am leaving and never coming back!”
“(Y/N), wait.” Thor says as he grabs your wrist when you go to pass him by.
“Unhand me.” You hiss, pulling your arm away. “I’ve had enough of your family and your hurtful mind games.” You say with tears pooling in your eyes and brush past him, storming away.
Thor wants to go after you but he needs to know what happened so he turns and looks at his brother incredulously. “What in the name of the gods did you do now?”
“Nothing.” Loki shrugs. “Just told her the truth is all. She seemed to be under the impression I harbored romantic feelings for her. I wonder who gave her that idea? And it couldn’t be further from the truth.”
Thor’s jaw drops but he quickly straightens himself back out. “You’re lying. I see how you look at her. This isn’t a game. Why are you being so cruel to her?”
“Oh Thor.” Loki laughs humorlessly. “I was just having a bit of fun with you, and fun with tormenting her. I feel nothing for her. You can have her now, I’ve had my fun.”
“What? I don’t-” He stammers, putting his hands on his head wondering what kind of hole he’s dug himself into. “Loki, you can’t honestly be that cold hearted. If anything she’s always been a friend to you.”
“Perhaps, that is until you decided to stick your nose where it didn’t belong.” Loki says angrily.
“I swear to the gods I will never meddle again. Will you just come with me and help me fix whatever disaster I’ve created for her?”
Loki grins triumphantly as he leans against the wall, crossing his arms over his chest. He tips his head, silently pointing behind his brother. Thor turns around and only gets more confused when he sees you standing there smiling. “Alright Loki, games over. I’d say Thor’s learned his lesson.” You grin, patting Thor on the arm as you pass him by and make your way back to Loki.
“What the hell is going on?” Thor groans.
“Loki and I worked things out, but I’m sure as you should have suspected he was none too pleased about your matchmaking methods. So he wanted to teach you a lesson.”
“Oh that is just mean.” Thor says childishly, almost looking like he’s pouting. “I had good intentions. That should count for something.”
You can’t help but laugh at Thor’s pouty face. “Oh Thor, come on, call us even now. You both got your desired end result while also learning a lesson.”
Loki rolls his eyes at his brother, while he wraps his arm around you, pulling your back against his front. “Toy with me again and you’ll be sorry. I have a partner in crime now. She’s quite the good actress isn’t she? Almost had me convinced.”
Thor lets out a tired sigh. “Oh no, maybe you two together wasn’t such a good idea after all.”
“Too late for that.” Loki laughs, then he leans down kissing you on the cheek. “Come on darling, let's go see what other mischief we can stir up together.”
“Hey as long as it’s not directed toward me anymore, I’m in!” You cheer excitedly.
Thor watches as you and Loki walk away hand in hand scheming excitedly together. He mutters to himself. “What have I done?”
Here's my original AO3 post for this fic.
So I don’t generally take requests because I don't want to make a promise I can't keep. However I do love suggestions or ideas. So I am definitely open to suggestions for more Loki one-shots because I do enjoy writing him. Feel free to message me, and I of course will credit anyone that inspires a fic.
Thank you for reading! Reblogs and comments are appreciated.

Summary: You're engaged to Thor, and he wronged you in the worst way possible. There was no denying it either because you caught him in the act. He begs for your forgiveness and tells you he'll do anything to make things right.
Well you're going to make him eat those words and his brother Loki happily agrees to help you. Revenge is sweet, and best served cold. And even better when in the arms of the God of Mischief.
The moment you walk into the crowded room through the sea of people his piercing blue eyes immediately find yours and by the way he’s looking at you, you know he can tell something is wrong. Before he attempts to approach you, you shake your head slightly at Loki with a pleading look in your eyes telling him not to. He looks reluctant to stay away, but he does as you silently ask.
Seconds later the other prince, the one you are betrothed to stands beside you. “I think we should speak about this. Privately.” Thor whispers.
You subtly recoil away from him before he can touch you, but also try to avoid drawing any attention to yourself. “I have nothing I wish to say to you. Now is not the time, nor the place. So go enjoy your party.” You say through gritted teeth with a forced smile so as not to alert anyone that there is anything wrong.
“Well I have much I wish to say. I am sorry and I swear she means nothing to me.” Thor starts.
In response, you turn your back to the crowd and narrow your eyes at him. “You’re pushing me, Thor. It’s taking all my self-restraint to hold back how I am really feeling right now. So unless you wish your parents to hear of what you’ve done I suggest you shut your mouth.”
He ducks his head down, shame filled eyes cast to the floor. “I will attend the party to appease my family. But hear this, I will do whatever it takes to keep you. I will repent in whatever way you see fit.”
“You may come to regret those words.” You hiss and then promptly turn away, disappearing into the crowd of people.
When he was late to his own birthday party you had a bad feeling, but Odin and Frigga were growing impatient as was the palace banquet hall full of Asgardians waiting to wish the prince happy birthday. So you offered to go to Midgard and retrieve him.
You’ve been on countless trips to Midgard with him. He’s introduced you to his human friends. The Avengers. You even knew of Jane. The human he once had lustful feelings for. He swore up and down that it was over with her when he started courting you.
The bad gut feeling you had got worse when you told Heimdall to open the Bifrost for you. He said in his own way that it would probably be best if you stayed on Asgard. But you ignored his warnings and left anyway.
You should have listened to Heimdall.
The Avenger Compound was oddly empty. Everyone must have been out, you assumed. When you got to Thor’s room though you did find him, but you didn’t find him alone. You found him rolling around in bed with Jane. Even though you immediately knew what was happening it’s like your eyes and your mind took a moment to catch up to each other.
The obscene sounds their bodies were making echoed through the room along with their pleasure-filled grunts and moans while you stood there in shock. You managed to scream out a few choice words to Thor once you came to your senses and then called for Heimdall to bring you back. Minutes later Thor was right behind you, hot on your heels trying to get you to talk to him while your shattered heart and mind were still trying to process everything you just witnessed.
Then to make things worse there was of course a party happening in the prince’s honor. You didn’t wish to be made a fool of in front of all of Asgard and decided to bite your tongue until you had time alone to think.
Halfway through the party you decide you can’t take any more or keep up the fake happy charade any longer and decide to quietly leave. Of course, Loki was already out in the hallway waiting for you. He knows you far too well. He doesn’t say anything because he knows better, and just silently walks along beside you.
His company you don’t mind. You and Loki have always had a close friendship. And he seems to have a knack for reading you.
He follows you into your bedroom and gently closes the door behind him. Then in the blink of an eye, he’s at your side to catch you as you almost drop to your knees and burst into tears. Every feeling, every emotion you’ve been holding back since you caught the two lovers comes pouring out of you all at once.
Loki carries you to your bed and just holds you as you cry. You cry until you have nothing left and your body can’t make any more tears. He brushes your hair away from your eyes and wipes the tear stains from your cheeks. “It was that human, Jane, wasn’t it?” He asks gently.
You sniffle, nodding your head in silent response.
“You should have shoved him out of the Bifrost.”
You scoff at that as you pull yourself up and move to sit beside him. “Almost stabbed him with my dagger in the banquet hall because he wouldn’t shut his stupid mouth.”
“Now that, I would love to see. Especially since I gifted you that dagger.” Loki grins, and you know he means it. His distaste toward his brother is no secret. “He never deserved you to begin with. So what are you going to do about this?”
Your eyes darken in a way Loki has never seen before. The sight brings a smile to his face. “I’m going to make him pay, and you’re going to help me.”
“What do they say on Midgard? Revenge is best served cold.” He laughs. “When do we start darling?”
For three days you go radio silent on Thor and refuse to speak to him. You knew letting him stew in his own guilt would make him squirm more. On the third day, you sent a servant to tell him you wished to speak with him. He came barreling into your room not 5 minutes later.
So now he’s sitting in a chair, eyeing you warily as you pace back and forth in front of him. “My love, I have missed you so much. Thank you for agreeing to speak with me. I don't know how to begin to apologize, but I am sorry for my moment of weakness.”
“Moment of weakness?” You laugh humorlessly. “You really expect me to believe that was a single occurrence?”
“It was, I swear it. She wasn’t even at the Compound to see me, it was coincidental that I was still there.” Thor says, as he stands and tries reaching for you. Immediately you step away and wrap your arms around yourself. “(Y/N), I love you. Please let me prove my love.” He pleads.
Coincidence, what utter bullshit. You think to yourself as you’re about to make him eat his own words. “You said you’d do whatever you had to in order to keep me, repent in any way I see fit. Do those words still hold true?”
“Yes! Anything, I swear on my honor.”
“Honor?! You have none right now!” You growl.
“You’re right. Let me earn that back as well. What is it you wish for me to do?” He asks with shame-filled eyes. The same look he gave you the night you caught him. A look you want to slap right off his stupidly handsome face.
Before you give him your answer there’s a knock on your door. “Right on time.” You smirk. A smirk that means nothing good for Thor. “Come in.” You call out to the person on the other side.
The door slowly opens and Loki walks in with a stoic look on his face and with his hands behind his back. You’re surprised he’s not smiling smugly right now.
“Loki, not now.” Thor growls. “Lady (Y/N) and I are talking about a private matter.”
“I know. I’m here to help with the resolution.” Loki says, holding back a smirk.
“What? What’s he talking about?” Thor frowns, looking to you for answers.
Now you’re the one holding back a devious smirk. “Well, I thought long and hard about your ‘repentance’. You see I had the misfortune of seeing you balls deep in your human, pleasuring each other. It’s only fair if you suffer the same consequences.” Then you flick your eyes to Loki.
Thor’s eyes go wide when he realizes what you are implying. “No! Absolutely not! This is not happening, you are not fucking my brother!”
You let out a disappointed sigh. “Alright, have it your way. Do you want to tell Frigga or should I about our broken engagement? I know Odin will certainly have something to say about your actions.”
“Wait, slow down. Let’s not be hasty.” Thor quickly backpedals, throwing his hands in the air like he’s surrendering. You knew that would get him. “Surely there’s something else we can agree upon.”
You shake your finger tsking him. “I told you, you’d come to regret your words. You said you would repent in any way I saw fit. Well, this is my offer. Take it or leave it.”
You and Loki quietly watch the internal argument Thor is having with himself, while you silently bask in the deviousness of your plan. “Alright.” Thor sighs almost dramatically. “But does it have to be Loki?”
“It’s my body, my choice. I don’t want some vile nobody touching me….” You pause pointing your finger in the air as an ‘alternative’ option occurs to you. Which you already know he will immediately say no to. “My only other choice would be your soldier friends. Since it would be impossible for me to choose just one, I’d have to of course choose them both. Steve and Bucky or Loki.”
“No! Not my work friends, absolutely not!” Thor narrows his eyes at his brother, pointing at him angrily. “This was your idea wasn’t it? Don’t for a second think I haven’t seen your lustful gazes at my fiancé.”
Loki shrugs his shoulders, unable to hide his smile any longer. “I don’t deny my lustful gazing as you say, and I am much obliged to assist. But I assure you she came up with your repentance all on her own.”
“I hate you.”
“Oh brother, the feeling is mutual.” Loki quips.
“Alright boys, that’s enough.” You say with a tired sigh. “So Thor, what’ll it be?”
Thor tears his angry glare away from his brother and looks to you with softer eyes. “If I agree to this we’ll be even, and you won’t tell Odin and Frigga of my indiscretion?”
“You have my word.” You nod.
“Alright, fine. Loki it is.” Thor groans reluctantly.
“Excellent choice.” You grin. Then you snap your fingers. “Loki, if you will.”
Loki finally unhides his hands that were still behind his back revealing the handcuffs he was hiding. “Have a seat brother.” He gestures to the chair Thor was originally sitting in.
“What for? Is this necessary?”
“It’s for my protection. No hammer summoning or attempting to beat me half to death.”
“Fine, fair point.” Thor huffs as he drops down into the chair dramatically. Loki cuffs each wrist to the arms of the chair. Then he uses his magic to make the chair sturdy enough and immobile. “Try not to enjoy this too much.” Thor growls.
“Oh, I can’t promise that.” Loki grins.
“Shut up. I was talking to her.” Thor huffs looking at you pointedly.
You shrug your shoulders. “Well you were certainly enjoying yourself. So, it’s only fair I get to do the same. But that all depends on Loki’s skill level. So, we’ll see what happens.” You say with a fake innocent smile as you open your robe revealing the lacy lingerie you have on underneath that you procured just for this occasion.
“I’m willing to bet I’m far more skilled than my witless oaf brother.” Loki says as he approaches you. “But actions speak louder than words.” He says as he traces his fingers along your frame, starting at your shoulder and stopping when he reaches your thigh. “I don’t know where to start, every part of you looks delicious.”
You grab the lapels of his jacket and pull him closer. “How about you start by kissing me.”
Without hesitation, he closes the small space between you and presses his lips against yours. It starts slow. And you’re surprised by how right it feels. His lips are soft and warm, and he’s gentle at first. Then as his hands start to wander your body a thrill of excitement runs through you.
His tongue runs along the seam of your lips, which you happily part allowing him entrance. A soft moan escapes you when he deepens the kiss, exploring your mouth with his tongue.
The sound of clinking metal reminds you of Thor’s presence as he fights against his handcuffs. Loki’s lips alone made you forget all about him.
His wandering hands make you lose focus again as one slips inside your underwear. This time you both moan in unison when he makes contact with your heat dipping his fingers inside you and he subsequently breaks the kiss. “Oh darling, you are dripping. All of this for me?”
“Well, you are quite talented with your tongue.” You blush.
Loki pulls his hand out and looks over at Thor as he licks his fingers clean. “Oh, she truly is divine. How could you ever want to taste anything else you foolish man?”
“Stop testing me, or I will break free.” Thor hisses.
Loki ignores the empty threat and looks back at you. “I need another taste, and I’ll show you just how talented my tongue is.” He smirks as he drops to his knees, hooking his deft fingers in your underwear and slipping them off. Then he grabs one leg, hooking it over his shoulder, opening you up for him and putting you on display for Thor to see.
You grip onto his other shoulder with your hand to steady yourself. Thankfully he helps hold you up because the moment his tongue laps at your core you almost fall backwards.
He dives right in swirling his tongue around. Licking and sucking on your clit. Your eyes roll back as you moan over and over. When he adds two fingers to give you some friction, your other hand goes to his hair looking for purchase.
“Don’t stop.” You gasp, with a roll of your hips as he pumps his fingers in and out of your heat. His tongue is indeed talented because he already has you chasing your first orgasm.
Moments later you’re crying out, fingers tightening in his hair, legs shaking as you reach your climax. Once you start feeling oversensitive you push his head away and drop your leg back down.
“Are you satisfied now? Can we be done with this?” Thor grits out.
Right, Thor’s still here. That’s twice he’s made you forget. You turn your head toward Thor seeing the hurt look in his eyes. Serves him right. You think to yourself. “Nope. We are far from even. Don’t you dare pretend you didn’t pleasure your harlot human repeatedly, and surely you finished before you came after me.” You say with a raised brow daring him to say otherwise.
When he just stares at you wearing a guilty look on his face that’s all the answer you needed. You narrow your eyes at him once more before looking back to Loki who just now got up from the floor and cleaned his face off. “Loki be a dear, take your clothes off, bend me over, and have your way with me.”
“Yes certainly, as you wish.” He says with a gleeful smile, happy to follow your orders.
With your eyes trained on your pathetic looking so-called fiance you pull your top off making yourself now completely bare. You watch his eyes move down gazing at your body.
“Only my eyes should be gazing upon you this way.” Thor whispers.
Your eyes darken at his words. “Too bad for you. Actions have consequences.” You growl as you climb onto the bed.
Loki, who has shed all his clothing, stands beside the bed taking in the sight of you. “You are the most beautiful creature I've ever seen. My brother is a fool for straying when he had you right in front of him.”
His words make your heart flutter and your cheeks blush. But of course Thor has to ruin the moment. “Enough of your words. Get on with this nonsense already!”
Loki rolls his eyes. “Is that what he does? He just ‘gets on with it’, pleases himself and leaves you unsatisfied?”
“Loki!” Thor growls before you can respond.
“Don't worry darling, I'll satisfy you.” Loki grins, leaning in to give you a kiss. Then he climbs onto the bed behind you. His wandering hands roam your body once more, massaging your breasts as he kisses along your neck.
You begin to feel eager when you feel his erection pressed against your backside. “I believe I instructed you to bend me over and have your way with me.” You hum, as you lean into him.
“Yes, of course, my apologies.” He smiles against your neck. Then gently he puts a hand on your shoulder and pushes you downward.
You lean down on your elbows, ass in the air. You're facing the foot of the bed so you can see Thor. Loki with one hand caresses the soft skin of your thighs and behind. With the other, he's lining himself up with your entrance. You feel the tip slide through your wet folds and then he presses against your entrance. “Ready?”
“Make me scream in pleasure.” You respond to Loki with your eyes on Thor.
Without another word, he moves his hand to your shoulder pulling you toward him as he pushes inside you. He slowly stretches and fills you. A low moan escapes you once he's fully sheathed inside you.
“Oh gods you feel as divine as you taste. Thor you truly are daft, you imbecile.” Loki groans, with a hand tightening on your hip.
“Shut up or I will kill you with my bare hands!” Thor yells.
“Loki. Shut him up, he's ruining the mood. I'd like to enjoy this.” You grit out. And in the blink of an eye, Loki has Thor gagged so you no longer have to hear any of his protests. “Much better.” You nod.
Now that Thor is dealt with, Loki gets back to the business of pleasuring you. He moves both of his hands to your hips and slowly pulls out of you, and gently slides back in to test the waters. The slow drag of his large cock has you moaning already.
Hearing your pleased sounds he assumes you’re ready for more and picks up the pace. With his grip on your hips he pulls you to him as he thrusts into you. Your body bounces back and forth on his cock. Breasts are bouncing, and eyes rolled back.
“Oh, Loki!” You gasp in pleasure, with your hands grasping onto the sheets to hold yourself steady.
A low groan escapes Loki. He puts his hands around your waist and pulls you upright. So your back is against his front. “I love the way you say my name.” He growls next to your ear. “Let’s make you say it louder.”
While he’s still plowing into you he wraps one hand around your front, holding your breast. The other slips between your soaked thighs and rubs your clit. “Yes, Loki!” You cry. Just then you open your eyes and happen to make eye contact with Thor, who has a pained look on his face. His pain brings a smile to your face. “You fuck me so good Loki!” You moan.
Suddenly you feel empty as Loki abruptly pulls out of you. Then he lies you flat on the bed and climbs on top of you. You look at him questioningly. He cups your cheek in his hand as his cock fills you once again. “I want your eyes on me as you cum, as I bring you pleasure. I’m selfish like that.” He grins.
“I’d rather look at you anyway.” You whisper. Then put your hand on the back of his neck pulling him to you until your lips find each other.
He keeps his lips against yours as he starts moving his hips. You wrap your legs around him and moan into his mouth as he starts hitting that sweet spot inside you.
Your fingers tangle in his hair with one hand. The other roams his back feeling his muscles flex with each thrust. He knows you’re close when you start rolling your hips in sync with his thrusts. So he breaks the kiss so that he can see your face. “Cum for me darling.”
Your nails dig into his shoulder and you arch your back with your legs shaking and trembling as you cry out, reaching your climax. He kisses you softly as he works you through your orgasm while also chasing his own.
“Where do you want it?” He whispers next to your ear.
In response to his question you slide your hands down to his backside while opening yourself up more, pushing him deeper. Seconds later his eyes are rolling back as he moans with stuttering hips spilling his seed inside you.
Both of you stop moving, but stay connected and try catching your breath. Loki’s eyes search yours. You’re not sure what he’s looking for but he must find it when he smiles down at you adoringly. He gives you one more soft kiss before gently pulling out of you and away from you.
You immediately feel cold and empty. But the cold doesn’t last too long. Loki’s hands pull you upright and off the bed so that you're standing with your bare body pressed against his. You also feel the wet sticky mess trickling down your thighs.
Loki gives you a questioning look and gestures to Thor with his eyes. You nod your head giving him the okay to remove the gag, and allow the tortured man to talk.
“Are you satisfied now? Are we done?” Thor immediately growls once he can speak again.
Taking a deep breath you slowly turn to face Thor. “Yes, I am quite satisfied, more than I have been in a long time.” You smile as Loki helps put your robe back on. “Oh and yes to answer your second question, we’re done.”
“Thank the gods.” He sighs.
You shake your finger at him as you slowly approach him. “I don’t think you understand me. We….” You gesture from him to you. “….are done.”
“What?” He says with wide eyes. “You swore, you gave me your word that all would be well if I agreed to this.”
“No, that’s not what I said.” You sigh as you take a seat in his lap just to punish him a little longer. “I gave you my word that we would be even and that I would not tell your parents what you have done. I’m keeping my word. We are even now, and you may tell your parent’s whatever you wish about us parting ways.”
“No this isn’t right! You are still angry, I understand, but I love you!” He pleads.
“Oh, Thor.” You say tiredly as you run your fingers through his long blonde hair. Then suddenly you grip a handful and pull it tight as you narrow your eyes at him. “Do you truly think me a fool? Did you really think I’d take your word? Your word means nothing now. In the three days that I have avoided you, I went back to Midgard, and I questioned your little human. She had no idea you were engaged to me. She was quite horrified when I told her. Seems you’ve been stringing her along too.” You tsk, shaking your finger at him when he opens his mouth to retort. “Before you try to call her a liar, I also spoke to a saucy red-headed spy who knows and sees all. Natasha corroborated her story. You lying piece of filth!” You hiss, slapping him across the face before you climb off his lap.
With a deep breath you straighten yourself back out, and look over to Loki who’s been idly watching the exchange and clearly enjoying every moment of it by the look on his face. “Loki, might I ask you one more favor?”
Still completely naked and not the least bit ashamed of it he approaches you with a smile. “You may ask me as many favors as you would like. What do you require of me my dear?”
“Take out the trash, and then come join me in the bath. How does that sound?” You ask sweetly, already headed toward the bathroom.
“Sounds wonderful, and I’ll do it with pleasure.” He beams as he smugly smiles at his broken looking brother. “Thank you brother. Thank you for epically destroying the best relationship you could have had. It’s done nothing but benefit me. Your punishment has been my reward.”
“This is not over (Y/N)!” Thor’s loud angry voice bellows. “And you Loki, you are a dead man!”
Loki rolls his eyes as he waves his hand, using his magic to force his brother’s mouth to stay shut. Then he leans in closer so only Thor can hear him. “When you break the news to mother and father about your broken engagement, if you dare try pointing the blame on sweet (Y/N), or try to label her as the adulterer I will ruin you and make sure all of Asgard knows how awful you truly are.” Then he pats Thor on the shoulder and uses his magic to toss him out of the room.
“Loki, the bath is ready.” You call from the bathroom.
Loki dusts his hands off and grins mischievously. “Coming darling.”
Lying in bed side by side with Loki, facing each other, your heart swells as he smiles at you adoringly. “You surprised me.” You whisper as you join your hand with his. After today you’re pretty sure there’s nothing this man wouldn’t do for you.
“How so?” He asks curiously.
“I’ve always known you cared for me, but I never knew it was romantically. Had I realized that sooner I probably wouldn’t have ended up with the wrong brother.” You say with a raised brow, insinuating you wished he’d said something sooner.
“Well…” He starts, and then pauses as he searches your eyes. “I suppose I’m partly to blame then. I hide my feelings too well it seems. But after today I know for certain we were made for each other. Remind me never to cross you though.” He says the last part teasingly.
“You’re not that stupid.” You chuckle.
“That’s true I’m not.” He laughs back. “I’d never treat you in such an ugly way. I treasure every moment with you.” He says as he leans up on his elbow. His other hand cups your cheek. “My heart belongs to you, I’m all yours. But are you mine now?”
You nod, turning your head kissing the palm of his hand. Then you put your hand on top of his. “I should have been yours all along. I love you Loki.”
“And I love you.” He says as his eyes begin to get glossy. “I’ll treat you like the queen you deserve to be.”

Summary: Loki is sentenced to spend the rest of his life in Asgard’s dungeon. However, that doesn’t satisfy Odin. Especially with Frigga making sure he’s getting special treatment. So, Odin adds torture to his sentence.
And of course, with Loki’s bad luck, and unbeknownst to Odin, his designated torturer is the one woman on Asgard he had a secret relationship with that he pissed off personally and broke his promise to. He’s in trouble now.
(Despite the story title, there is actually no torture involved in this fic.)
Sentencing Loki to life in the dungeon was not satisfying enough for the Allfather. Especially with Frigga constantly making sure he got special treatment and comforts within his cell. So, Odin added another piece to his life sentence.
The sound of chains clanking together echoes down the darkly lit ominous hallway. The guards keep a tight hold on Loki’s chains as they pull him further into the darkness. Loki would never admit this out loud, but he is indeed full of dread right now.
Torture.
Loki knows Odin’s prized torturer all too well. Most of the Nine Realms know and fear her too. If Odin wants information from a tyrant or to damn a prisoner to pain and suffering she’s the one that gets results. Every time, without failure.
When the guards finally reach the door to what she likes to call her ‘playroom’ Loki feels a lump in his throat. You are the last person on all of Asgard that he should have pissed off. It wasn’t intentional, but nevertheless, he still did it. Now he’s about to be at your mercy.
One of the guards knocked before entering. They, too, know better than to anger or irritate you. Loki and the two guards wait with baited breath until they hear an overly polite “enter” called out through the door.
The guard that knocked chuckles quietly. “He’s in trouble. She’s in a good mood.” Then he pushes the door open. The two guards shove Loki inside first, then step inside behind him.
Loki can’t help but gulp audibly when he sees you sitting on a stool sharpening a knife, wearing a devious smile that truly means bad news for him.
“Well, well, my extra special prisoner of the day. I cleared out my entire day just for you.” You smile as you slide off the stool and step toward him. “Oh how the mighty have fallen. From prince to prisoner.” Your grin only grows wider and scarier with each step. “Kneel.”
“What?!” Loki blurts out and then immediately regrets it. He knows you said that just to get a rise out of him. To give you an excuse to exert your power. The power Odin is giving you over him.
You wave your hands to the guards with a dark look in your eyes. One guard kicks the back of his knees, and the other shoves him down by his shoulders, forcing him to kneel.
With the sharpened knife in your hand, you put the pointed tip under his chin while grabbing the chain attached to the metal collar around his neck, forcing him to look up at you. “In these walls, my walls, you are not a god, and your prince title means nothing. I am your master and you are at my mercy. Do you understand?”
Loki blinks his eyes a retort on the tip of his tongue, but for once, he thinks better of it. “Yes.” He whispers in quiet response.
“Yes, what?” You growl.
He narrows his eyes at you as a reaction, not thinking. He knows you just want to belittle him, to get under his skin. It’s certainly working. “Yes, master.” He hisses.
You laugh, but it’s a humorless laugh. “First order of business will be to snuff out your arrogant defiance.” Then you release your hold on the chain, which he happened to be foolishly pulling against. So when you let go, it caused him to fall backward and barely catch himself with his hands. You stand up and look at the guards. “I got it from here, fellas. I’ll call for you when he’s ready to return to his cell.”
Both guards nod at you. One mutters a ‘have fun’ and the other chuckles a ‘good luck’ to Loki. He flinches when the door shuts, leaving the two of you alone. With your arms crossed over your chest, you look down at the chained-up god on the floor. “Stand.” You say in a commanding voice, leaving no room for argument.
Loki climbs back to his feet and holds his breath as you approach him again. “You won’t be needing these for now.” You say as you unlock the chains around his waist. They fall and hit the floor with a loud and heavy clink. Leaving him now with just the chains cuffed around his wrists and the collar around his neck.
“Now, you may have a seat.” You grin, waving your hand. He flies across the room and lands in a chair. The purple mist in the air that is your magic fades. Just like his is green when he has the ability to use his. But the chains binding him prevent use of his magic.
Stepping over to the chair, you sit in his lap, straddling him. Lifting his chained wrists over your head so that his arms are now looped around you. “I bet you wish you could use your magic right now, don’t you?”
Loki swallows thickly, his body betrays him, getting excited at the feeling of you in his lap again after all this time. “(Y/N), I know you’re angry with me. But I can’t quite gauge how angry you are.”
You narrow your eyes at him. One hand slides up his chest to his neck, fingers sliding through his hair until you grip a handful of his dark locks. “I’m very, very angry. I just can’t decide if I’m angrier for you not keeping your promise or angrier for your deceit. Hard choice, really.”
“Will you allow me to explain?” He asks cautiously, not wanting to piss you off more.
“Hmm…” You mumble, pausing to think, tapping the knife still in your hand against your chin. “Fine, but if I don’t like what I hear, I will cut out your lying tongue.”
“Alright.” Loki gulps nervously. “I did not intentionally break my promise to you…”
“You were supposed to take me with you if your plan failed!” You hiss cutting off his words. “Which it very clearly did since you’re in the dungeon instead of sitting on the throne.”
Your past relationship with Loki was a well-kept secret. It was a very close and intimate relationship. You always saw there was more to Loki just as he always saw there was more to you. He confided in you when he was planning to impede Thor’s coronation to be king. And told you how he planned to steal the throne for himself. That’s how much trust he has in you.
He did have some doubts, though, if he was unsuccessful. If he didn’t become king and his plan failed, he was going to leave Asgard for good, and he swore to take you with him.
Well, he failed, but you got left behind.
“I did not foresee Thor destroying the Bifrost. I fought him and lost, and when I realized how badly I had lost I let myself fall. I was surprised myself that I survived.”
“Yes, that’s what leads us to the deceitful part. You let me believe like everyone else that you were dead. I meant that little to you?” Your voice is strong and angry, but he can still see the hurt in your eyes.
“That’s not true. I wanted to tell you I was alive, but if Odin found out about us, he would have killed you for treason. I couldn’t let that happen because of how much you mean to me. I was trying to protect you.”
Chewing on your lip you stare into his eyes. Something you learned about him early on, his eyes tend to contradict his words. His eyes are always more truthful. Which is all you are seeing in this moment, truth in his eyes. “What about your time on Midgard? I heard whispers you were getting acquainted with some human women.”
His face skews, his expression matching the disgust in his eyes. “Humans are weak and useless to me. You know I am nothing like my brother. I didn’t fraternize with any humans or anyone for that matter. There is only you.”
You release the breath you didn’t realize you were holding and loosen the grip you still had in his hair. “I’d like to believe you. But I think you’re going to have to convince me and do some repenting.” You smirk. Dropping the knife onto the floor, you twist your hand around the collar chain. “And I admit, seeing you in these chains, it’s doing things to me.”
“There’s my naughty girl.” Loki smirks, happy to now be talking to the woman he adores. “Where should I begin with my repentance to earn your forgiveness?”
Moving your hand back to his face you trace your thumb along his bottom lip. “I think we’ll start with this silver tongue of yours. I’ve been thinking about it ever since I had you on your knees.” Then eagerly you press your lips against his for a bruising kiss, having missed the taste of his lips. But you end the kiss all too soon just as he was running his tongue along the seam of your lips. You tug on his bottom lip with your teeth as you pull away. Then move your lips next to his ear. “I do believe I saw your slacks tighten when I had you on your knees. You still like it when I boss you around, don’t you?”
“Yes.” He breathes shakily, feeling his slacks getting even more uncomfortably tight.
“Don’t worry darling, that’s still our little secret.” You say as you nibble on his ear. Then he sees a flash of purple light. You lift his arms over your head, unlooping them from your body. Then climb off his lap, pulling on his chain. “Come darling.” You smile.
He stands up, and follows you, seeing there is now a bed with green silk sheets. You sit down on the bed and pull him with you. “Can we get rid of these now?” He gestures to the chain on his wrists and the collar.
You shake your finger, tsking him. “No, I told you, I’m really enjoying you in these chains. I will give you a little slack for your wrists though.” The chain connecting the cuffs on his wrist extends giving him more range to move his hands. “Go on, feel how excited I am.” You grin as you lean back on the bed.
He hovers above you making you shiver when the cool metal touches your skin as his fingers dip into your waistband. His fingers move downward until he makes contact with your heat. He smiles at you. “All this for me? You’re practically dripping. I can’t wait to taste you again.”
“Better get to work.” You command, while ridding both of you of your clothing. Though you do both take a moment to gaze at each other’s bodies. It feels like a lifetime since you last saw and felt each other.
“Yes, master.” He smirks as he leans down, kissing his way down your body. When he positions himself between your thighs you hook your legs over his shoulders. He licks his lips with a hungry look in his eye. Then licks a stripe up your center, flattening out his tongue, coaxing a moan out of you.
Then he digs in like a man starved on a mission. A mission to please you. His tongue laps at your core, sucking on your clit. Making you roll your hips looking for friction. So he slips two finger inside of you, sliding them in and out as his tongue goes to work.
“Oh Loki!” You moan his name sinfully. Then you reach down, grabbing a handful of his hair, making him hum against your center. The vibrations bring you closer to the edge. “I have missed you!” You cry as he hooks his fingers, hitting that sweet spot.
You roll your hips faster, chasing your orgasm, fucking yourself on his fingers and tongue. Your grip in his hair tightens as your legs begin to shake and you cry out his name as you cum. He works you through your first orgasm and you push his head away when you begin to feel oversensitive. Your chest is heaving like you just ran a marathon.
He smirks at you, his face soaked with all of your juices. “You taste just as divine as I remember. You also look and sound satisfied, am I forgiven?”
“We’re just getting started.” You growl as you sit upright and pull on the chain around his neck. “I admit you are very talented with your tongue. But I’ve missed this too.” You say as you reach down gripping his hard cock. He moans the moment he feels your touch. You give him a few teasing strokes before commanding him to sit down.
He moves to the head of the bed and sits down. “Good boy.” You praise as you climb into his lap, straddling him the same way you were in the chair earlier. You see him preening at your praise and feel his cock twitch beneath you. Looping your arms around his neck you press your lips against his. You can taste yourself on his lips which just turns both of you on more.
His hands go to your hips, and he moans into your mouth as he tries grinding against you. The motion making you clench around nothing, making you ache to have him inside you already. Reaching between your bodies you grab his cock that feels painfully hard lining him up with your entrance and slowly sink down on his length. Both of you moan into each other’s mouths as he stretches and fills you. “You don’t get to cum until I say so, understand?”
“I understand.” He nods, eager to start moving.
“Good, now make me cum again.”
And with that, he grips your hips hard, so hard you’re sure his finger shaped bruises will be left behind as he thrusts up into you.
With your hands on his shoulders you start rolling your hips, bouncing up and down in his lap. “I missed your cock.” You whine, moving your hips faster.
“I missed being inside you. You feel like home.” He gasps.
You pull on the collar, the metal chain between your bodies begins to get warm. This sight of him turns you on more as you chase your second orgasm. “Do you like it when I use you for my own pleasure?” You moan, grinding down hard against him.
“Yes!” He cries in response.
“You like pleasing me, being my good boy, don’t you?”
You feel his cock twitch, and get even harder. “Yes. I do.” He moans, his nails now biting into the skin of your hips. Then he whimpers when you abruptly climb out of his lap and grip the base of his cock.
“I said you can’t cum until I say so.” You growl.
“I’m sorry, you just feel so good.” He whines in his defense.
“Fuck me until I cum all over your cock. Then you may cum.” You say as you move to your hands and knees, pulling his collar chain over your shoulder.
He immediately does as he’s told and moves behind you, pressing your front down with one hand and shoves his cock back inside you in one fast and hard motion. You moan, clenching around his cock and pull on the chain once more. “Harder.”
He didn’t need to be asked twice. He keeps on hand on your back and one on your hip, thankful you gave him the extra slack on the cuffs as he slams into you mercilessly. He has you seeing stars as he pounds into you over and over at a punishing pace.
It doesn’t take long before he feels your walls tightening and spasming around him. You cry out with his name on your lips a second time. He’s also unable to stave off his completion any longer. He works you through your second orgasm as he chases his own.
You feel his cock pulsating as he spills his seed inside you.
Once he’s spilled every last drop, he collapses on top of you. You actually enjoy the weight of him on you. But the chains pinch your skin, so you push him over and then turn to position yourself with your head against his chest.
The two of you just lay there silently for a while, trying to catch your breath. Loki is the first to break the silence with a quiet chuckle. “You’re never going to have me without the chains again, are you? You’re wetter than I’ve ever felt you before.”
You snort out a laugh. “Told you it was doing things to me.”
“So am I forgiven, back in your good graces again?”
“That depends.” You say as you lift your head so you can see his handsome face. “Are you still mine?”
He cups your cheek with his hand and smiles at you. “I never stopped being yours. I will always be yours, and yours alone.”
You smile back at him, a smile you reserve only for him that comes from a warmth only he can fill you with. “Then yes, you’re forgiven.”
“If Odin only knew the type of torture he’s truly sentenced me to.” Loki laughs.
Your smile fades, and your face turns serious. “Yeah about that. I’m going to have to make it look like you endured hours of torture in here.” Loki’s eyes go wide at your words, bordering on the edge of panic. Which makes you unable to keep up the façade any longer, and you start laughing. “Relax, I’ll use my magic. I’d never truly torture you.”
Loki slowly exhales. “Of course, I knew that.”
You kiss him sweetly on the lips and brush his messy hair away from his face. “In all seriousness though I’m going to need you to put on an act to go along with my magic. I fear Thor may be suspicious of us.”
“Has that witless oaf not ruined my life enough!” Loki hisses. “What makes you think that?”
“Odin had sent for me to discuss his plans. I heard Thor arguing with him on my way to the throne room. He was demanding Odin chose someone else for the job. And I don’t think he was doing that out of kindness. He must have suspicions, but no proof to give. So, let’s not give him any reasons.”
Loki sighs heavily, but nods his head. “I will pretend I just endured the worst torture ever instead of pleasing my lover to earn her forgiveness.”
“Good boy.” You wink knowing what that does to him.
He groans and looks at the clock. “One more round, then call for the guards?” He begs.
You gesture your hands toward Loki. “Have you no eyes? Exactly what you see you half-wit.” You growl, making the skittish guards take a step back from you. “He’s had enough for today. We’ll start again tomorrow.”
An hour later, you finally call for the guards. Thank goodness for your magic. Otherwise, you probably would have never rid that room of the smell of sex. Loki looks beaten and bloody. He pretends to be in pain and exhausted. You jab your knife into a nearby table, making the guards jump. “What should we report back to Odin?” One guard asks.
“Same time tomorrow.” The other guard nods, not wanting to irritate you like his cohort.
“Same time tomorrow.” You echo, giving Loki a wink when the guards turn their backs.
You can't wait to torture him again tomorrow.
There's just something about Loki in chains.... I admit I watch Thor 2 purely to see Loki in chains. 🥵
