people w an implantable loop recorder:
is it normal for my chest to be sore/tender around my ILR? it's sensitive to the touch but i've had the thing for less than a year, so definitely not tender because of instillation. should i see my cardio abt this?
My mom was a great advocate for me today. Despite my doctor saying lidocaine worked on everyone, it didn't work on me. But the nurses were amazing and gave me IV pain and anxiety meds to help. It's not always easy but it has to be done. But seriously, thank the gods for good nurses and my amazing mother.
Getting a piece of me removed today. After three years of being closely monitored, my heart is “ok” enough for me not to have this piece of machinery under my skin and coding me buttloads of money each month.
It’s a good step forward.
