Neil and Kevin trade hw cause we know Neil hates history and is good at math but I promise you Kevin hates math just as much and we know he loves history so I can't see them not trading their homework constantly. Neil hasn't touched a required history assignment since freshman year and Kevin gets bribed with "I'll do your math work" fairly easily.
(and an extra thing about the Crimson Knights, too)
Spoilers for Solatorobo and the Fuga trilogy.
I wanna ramble a bit about this. And once again, if I am wrong about the lore, please let me know.
So my theory about the Crimson Knights being hybrids was wrong (I will get their powers later), but as one theory dies, another is born anew. I think the Marzipans could be Carmine's ancestors. While I mostly talk about Ash, it doesn't really matter who's the ancestor specifically; I just think they're related to Carmine.
They all have future sight, to varying degrees, but still they have it. It's also implied to be a genetic trait that the Marzipans have, starting with Emma (Malt, Mei, and Ash's mother).
We never find out who Carmine's parents are before he was experimented on. Heck, I'm not even sure what his last name is or if Carmine even is his real name!
Quynne helped Carmine escape and watched over Red during the events of Solatorobo. If he went back to the era of Fuga (somehow), he would have an interest in making sure the timeline plays out as is. Ya know, so Shepherd isn't destroyed.
What if Carmine was in the Scarlet Order? Quynne clearly is, and both he and Carmine were all wearing red garments, which are now associated with the order.
Why would CC2 make visual and story associations between Ash and Carmine for no reason?
Right now, I see a big problem with this, and it's the question of how Quynne went BACK IN TIME??? He was an experimental hybrid from several hundreds of years after Fuga's time. He IS another way to connect the Marzipans to Carmine. But how did he do this? I and a lot of other people do not know. Quynne is a very mysterious character to begin with; there's barely any information on him. There is a theory that Quynne related to the Marzipans. Mei and Malt are the only characters who can time travel, so maybe???
Overall, the Marzipans have SOMETHING to do with Carmine, but only time will tell, I guess.
Now, about the Crimson Knights...
The series states that the only new world people who can wield Nono are Felineko with the aptitude and members of the wolf tribe. So if that is the case...why can the Crimson knights, who are regular Caninu, use Nono-like abilities?
They are not hybrids; that much is very clear. But they also haven't been enhanced by the Berman Empire or Blutwurst. Sure, their mechs do enhance their powers via bio-batteries. But as seen in Malt's kidnapping, they can use their powers on their own. Additionally, Tierre had her mind powers before she had any interaction with the Berman army. So what is going on????
I think they all had an interaction with Juno or Pseudo Juno technology that changed their biology. Look back at Emma Marzipan, she was sick for a time, then she was taken care of by Cathrine. What if she came in contact with Juno technology and it changed her? What if Cathrine used Juno technology to heal Emma?
Or are all these Nono-wielding Caninu related to the wolf tribe after all? I'm just throwing ideas at the wall to see what sticks. In truth, I have no idea when, how, or even if CC2 will explain this. An explanation would be nice, so it's consistent.
But that's all I've got. I'd love to hear everyone else's theories about this! 🥰
You know, I bet all the things are called things like Batcave, Batmobile, Batcomputer, etc, because of the kids
Like at first it was just a couple of things, and it became almost like a tradition where each time a kid found the Batcave they’d name a few more things. Batarangs, Batbombs, Batchair, whatever caught their eye that didn’t have a bat-name already.
Then, they get another new sibling. Lil Cass comes around and they’re teaching her how to talk and she added bat as a prefix to everything in the batcave (and some outside it).
That is the batfloor now, and the batpaper, and batgloves, and no one is going to tell her it isn’t.
If it's in the batcave, it must have bat in it, and it all went down (or up depending on who you ask) from there
Because Academy is in an entirely separate canon from the games, the whole “Eon is Kao’s father” thing does not exist to me. Kao’s mom just spawned him with magic and Eon’s barely met her in his life. Like during Swap Force someone brings up her current shenanigans to him and he’s like “oh yeah I forgot that stinker has a mom”
@anomnipotentbagofchips / any other Hive lore enthusiasts on here:
do you ever think about how the Hive haven’t really changed? like, they made the deal with the Worms so that they’d live longer by killing. but ever since then, they’ve just been dying more. I’d actually argue that they’re dying faster now that Guardians are a thing, cos we go after them pretty aggressively. Their lives literally haven’t changed, there’s just more violence. They’re still short, bitter, and violent. it’s kinda sad really
