ended January with 50.01 miles!!!! I never really tracked miles on the team since mileage wasn’t my important focus, so I’m excited to have actually logged this milestone :)

God every damn year, like a fresh flower blooming out of a sidewalk crack, once the weather hits slightly warm I’m consumed with a desire to run all the time. I’m in bed, exhausted from already running 5ish miles today and my brain is trying to convince to get out there again.

Quick back story: So after a year and a half hiatus from running I decided to start it back up again. I have run 5 half marathons in my life and I got burnt out from running. I just didn’t feel the passion for it like I did before. Everything started to hurt in my body from my Achilles to my knees and I just didn’t want to do it anymore. One time it was so bad after a half marathon I had to get my boyfriend to carry me up the stairs to my apartment. After a long test and some serious stretching I decided to see if I can find my passion again. I know this mileage isn’t much but I’m going to start small and build up. For now my goal is to run 10 miles a week! When I used to run I used to have so much self confidence and I was so easy going that nothing much bothered me because I released everything in my running. I’m hoping to get back to that!
