I'm so pumped you're watching this! Xiao-Qian's sometimes baffeling confidence that she knows her characters well enough to be able to steer this flawlessly is really entertaining and endearing. This show brought me much joy.

I’m having so much fun with it! I think the fact it is 24 episodes is a good thing. I love Chinese fantasy period dramas, but sometimes it just takes too long for the main couple to stop sniping at each other and get to the cuties being cute phase.

This did not waste any time at all with its male lead :D

I feel like what really happened to Mun Young's mom and Kang Tae's mom is going to be the boss-level relationship obstacle. butterflies involved somehow.

I have my fingers crossed for this. I don’t think we have any pieces yet but it also hasn’t been forgotten. My real hope is when it happens, I can look back and go, Oh my god.

i do think that her being the mom would make for maximum interesting plotting, but i just don't feel like the lead-up is there? i think she's just a fan, as you say, and i think if they do portray her as moon-young's real mom, it's not going to feel as totally satisfying as the other things on this show have been? so i kind of hope she's just a fan. but we'll see!

You have hit my dilemma on its head. It feels a little early to have this be her mom and if it isn’t, it allows for more drama and pain. But what do I know? I haven’t been able to predict what they’ll do and when they’ll do it. I thought they’d run out of tension by episode 6, yet here they are, kissing and running all over the place.

Also, I’ve been side eyeing Dad from the beginning. The story of Bluebeard my ass.

Does it end well? I think I stopped somewhere in the mid 30s but I’ve been thinking of getting back into it. But Chinese dramas love the tragic endings and after GOT I need a break.

yeah there’s definitely a tragic ending,, but i liked it since it’s not just senseless killing, it goes with the plot (plus they become immortals anyway). The whole arc in the Tiansha kingdom is pretty pointless, but if you can make it through its a really good ending. I haven't found a historical Chinese drama without a tragic ending yet lol

I look forward to watching this. It has the leading man from “My Queen” in it- which I can’t see anymore ever since the Korean version (Witch’s Romance) came out Viki has removed it- so I was super excited to watch. Plus I saw there is a boudoir battle- my favorite unnecessary wuxia plot element.

I am excited too, because it looks like it has my favorite trope: Kick His Ass Baby, I Got Your Flower. 

I hope to watch at least two episodes today because it is a holiday and I want to be lazy >.>

thats the thing i was also crying foul at how easily Je Ha dispatched the team they sent after him but his ex training officer seemed to imply that the guy has some kind of superhuman/Xtra Speshul abilities? it srsly seemed like the show was alluding to that. i guess ep 2 should explain. (it would be a neat twist too since its not in the promos or anything)

OMG, if that happened I would die. But it would also make sense with out often he became a flying squirrel to jump on people. >.>

Did granny die? Her face wasn't covered up so I thought she lived :(

I guess I assumed since her eyes were closed and there was a lot of blood that she didn’t survive. Even if she didn’t though, I doubt Je-Ha is going to show up at her hospital room to make sure she’s okay. Her purpose was to get him from outside the window and into the building. She fulfilled that so her story is done. Either way, I remain irritated by thriller tropes that require unnamed, random women to be hurt for the hero.
