the PJO show really did the whole ‘love triangle’ trope right because no one said it had to be romantic love that fuels the triangle
Percy and Thalia (and Luke technically) fight for their girl each for a slightly different reason

"Annabeth is Luke's weakness" this, and "Annabeth is Percy's strength" that. Weak. Annabeth is Luke's biggest weakness that causes him to abandon Kronos' mission and his greatest strength that connects him back to morality! And Annabeth is Percy's biggest strength that keeps him grounded by connecting him to being good and his greatest weakness that would cause him to burn everything to the ground!
