I originally ran a poll to see if people could guess which AU Wukong becomes the Jade Emperor in, and they guessed right, so they got this!

Wukong has been playing the long game, bidding his time and waiting for the perfect moment to strike. Which happened to be right after Macaque thinks his two oldest children just sacrificed themselves to save the universe.

He's having a great time.

He's having an absolutely terrible time.

Lunartides where Macaque gets babied a little?

It’s so strange to him to be touched, spoken to and overall loved in such a gentle way

He has no idea what to do with himself and this whole experience is how Sandy figures out he can purr

Sandy was gentle.

It was the first thing Macaque learned about the guy.

He was a gentle giant, so capable of hurting but choosing peace. He worried about his loved ones, like his cat. (Macaque was never gonna get over having to meow.) It almost reminded him of Demon Bull King, before a memory of him trying to win a arm wrestling match with Wukong snuck in.

Sandy didn't try to arm wrestle. He didn't try to fight in general. He could, he had the power, but he didn't want it. He wanted to be gentle, so gentle he was.

Macaque couldn't remember what it was like to be treated gently. He didn't remember the last time he purred like now, snuggled gently in Sandy's arms.

But, even as Sandy cooed at the soft noise, he didn't mind.
