"Munchies" is what I call flare ups of symptoms of Munchausen Syndrome (currently medically known as factitious disorder but I prefer the old name personally) or as shorthand for having Munchausen Syndrome in general. Commonly, these are cravings for attention that compel me to hurt myself or make myself sick, or otherwise act in such a way that people would have to take care of me in order to fulfill that need for attention.

It's also a common slang term for hunger cravings, but I kinda stole it for this lmao
