Pokemon gym leader OCS for an artfol challenge

Fun fact I wasn't allowed to play Pokemon growing up so I didn't start playing until my husband bought sword and shield for me as a present.

“Saguaros fine, he’s out mingling with people again like nothing happened.” She frowns, biting her lip and dropping her arms at her sides, looking at the floor.

“Celeste, you were so on the right track, I was almost scared you were gonna catch me before I had a chance to finish this stunt… You did a good thing, and I’m proud of how you just leapt into action. None of this was your fault, agh…”

She sighs- Now she just felt horrible. “I’m really sorry I ruined your festival, honestly… Is there anything I could possibly do to make it up to you?”

"The....The Phantom was Ms. Rika...?" Celeste mumbled as the mask was finally taken off.

She didn't know how to feel. Relived that it's finally over? Angry that she was lied to? Upset that while Rika wanted Celeste to romantically confess to Arven yet she was the one to force her to be involved and leave her friend behind just to help track her down?

Celeste didn't know how to react. She knew Rika was most likely just doing this for fun. And yet....And yet Celeste couldn't make herself believe that.

Tears started streaming down her face. These feelings had been held for too long and now the dam has been broken.

This festival was the one chance Celeste felt she could be selfish and have one of her friends to herself. When the Phantom first appeared she tried to ignore it, but the moment it had involved Saguaro; Celeste had to get involved too.

It felt like she was being punished for wanting to spend time with someone she cared about and just with her alone.

Her Meowscarada immediately saw this change and did what he had always done in situations like this. Cilantro rubbed his paws against her face and on her arms to bring his comforting scent out without it being too strong for her. He leaned against his trainer in hopes his weight and warmth would help.

The Phantom revealed!

The battle concluded with the Phantom standing tall as the winner of the exhibition match! Their trusty Meowscarada set up their borrowed Kingambit for the perfect sweeping oppertunity!

"Well fought indeed, Young master Vermillion. I'm quite impressed with your showing. So, as a show of respect, and as thanks for such a wonderful tournament and event, allow me to thank you in person!"

The mask and hat are then removed...

Revealing a cascading curtain of green hair that is hurriedly shaken out, and the phantom taking a rather deep bow.

"A wonderful dance indeed, Vermillion!" She laughs, striking a rather grandiose pose as she turned to the gathering audience. "Yes, it's true! Your own elite four, Rika, here! At your service! But might I say I NEVER expected to have such an intense run for my money! So as a show of courtesy, I return to you your prizes. Thank you for such a wonderful time, and a wonderful display of skill and love for your pokemon! Truly one of Kanto's brightest stars!"

The Meowscarada leaps from behind her, snapping its fingers at the floor as the Trophy, Shiny Luvdisc and cash prize all appear at once.

"I do hope you'll join us again next year, Vermillion! Until then, Adios!"

Celeste nodded when Geeta had mentioned her assistance. "I'm gonna try to find and catch the Phantom!"

"Someone already freed Mr. Saguaro and I found him just outside the Academy. He said that while he was trapped in the Guest Wing that he heard someone talking to Director Clavell." Celeste began explaining, knowing what she'd have to admit. "I'm not assuming it's you right away Ms. Geeta, I barely even have any evidence to accuse you of such a thing!"

"I'm asking because Cilantro found out that the Meowscarada that The Phantom has been using is Director Clavell's; he followed the scent left behind by Flower Trick and it lead to his office. That means Director Clavell is involved in this somehow and is close to The Phantom's true identity; that it could even be more than one person to avoid any kind of suspicion!"

"Y'know...I just got a strange idea that could possibly work." She gets the staff directory open and goes down to Saguaro's number.

"Please forgive me for what I'm about to do Mr. Saguaro..."

Celeste proceeds to call and text Saguaro's Rotom Phone number repeatedly in hopes that whoever has his phone answers it or hope that anyone could hear the notification sounds if they're on.

She's mentally preparing if whoever has his phone decides to block her from this dumb idea that probably has a low chance of working.

"Cilantro, what's up?" Celeste asked her Meowscarada, seems that he left his pokeball to investigate on his own. "Did...you find anything?"

Her Meowscarada nodded in response as he pointed at the Academy. "Does...that mean you found the source of the scent Cilantro?" Celeste gasped as she got a map of the Academy's inside on her Rotom Phone. "Show me where you found it!"

With a claw, Cilantro pointed at the part labeled Director's Office with a hiss. He seemed not pleased at how long it took, but clearly happy that he had found it at last.

"Then....Then that means the other Meowscarada that the Phantom is using is Director Clavell's!" Celeste exclaimed, "Director Clavell has to be involved in this somehow!"

"Mr. Saguaro said to take it with a grain of salt, but it's better than running in circles! He also said Director Clavell isn't in his office...so it could even be him too!" Celeste responded as possibilities as to who it could be were running a mile a minute in her head.

"Or even that the Phantom are two people involved and Director Clavell could be one of them...! He played a secret identity while handling Team Star! The Meowscarada that the Phantom uses could even be his!!!"
