Intro!
Hey all! I’m Insi, or Nisi, and I’m a potter’s apprentice and Egyptology student currently researching and reconstructing ancient Egyptian ceramics and faience! I’m super new to Tumblr. (Please give advice idk how to do this)
My name, Insimafdat, or nsjm3fdt, comes from middle Egyptian. nsj (She who is of) m3fdt (Mafdat). This is a common name pattern you see in ancient Egypt, usually with more popular deities.
My pronouns are She/Her!

My main interests are Pottery and Ancient Egypt/Egyptology. My main focuses within Egyptology are ceramics and the religion, aswell as the language!
I’m a Kemetic Reconstructionist with the main deity I worship being Mafdat. I also honour Ma’at and Anpu. I’m not very witchy in terms of neopaganism, but I do practice ancient Egyptian magic. I try to keep it as historically accurate as possible, so tend to stray away from the Witch label as to avoid new age witchcraft and magic.

Bull headed Set-Ra and Mafdet this time around.
I know I've been doing a lot of Greek mythology drawings, (which I do love and I am going to keep drawing Greek gods) but my favourite mythology is actually Egyptian mythology.
I've only shared a few drawings so far, because it seemed like people weren't that into Egyptian mythology, but I guess I was wrong. I've been seeing a lot more art of Egyptian gods on here than I expected.
So, enjoy some fierce cat goddesses 😁
florkirkenuinely worshipping multiple deities at a time feels like having an entourage yk like if im in a Situation i have three buff dudes (anpu and mafdet and hermes) standing behind me with their arms crossed and like aura farming and stuff and if i toss them a nickel they can beat people up for me
