hi guys so if any of y'all can help me in my witchcraft journey I would be really grateful. As a complete total beginner noob nooby, what first fundamental book do you recommend, as in the book literally every occultist magickal person on planet earth has to read. I have some but idk. I'm kinda lost and feel like I need to start from the beginning. Any help is appreciated

🔥 FIRE RITUAL 🔥

• to rid guilt and welcome self love, forgiveness, mental clarity and motivation.

What I used:

• 4 elements

Fire ---> yellow candle (for positive attitude) - lighter/matches

Water ---> moon water

Air ---> feather

Earth ---> 2 pothos leaves that were not doing so hot!!!

• Crystals:

---> Clear Quartz - master healer - amplifies energy - draws off negative energy of all kinds

---> Amethyst - it relieves stress and strain, soothes irritability, balances mood swings, dispels anger, rage, fear and anxiety. Alleviates sadness and grief, and dissolves negativity.

---> Rose Quartz - purifies and opens the heart at all levels to promote love, self-love, friendship, deep inner healing and feelings of peace

---> Selenite - Cleansing Properties

• Smudge (husband cleansed my space (whole home) with sweetgrass

My mixture for ritual:

• Thyme - Rosemary - sage and white sage and link Himalayan salt to make a mixture for the fire ritual

Thyme - purification and courage

Rosemary - improve my performance of my craft

PHS - grounding - purification - dispelling negativity

Sage - promote wisdom - granting of wishes - protection - builds emotional strength

• Butterfly - change and rebirth

• pen and paper ( write to letters into the universe of what you want to Release and what you welcome)

• shell - protection and to put or mixture in

After I took the few shots because I do like to share, I tuned it and meditated to center myself while my letters were burning in the cleansing mixer we made.

I stood near my window letting my fan blow the smoke out the window while I meditated. It was a beautiful releasing cleanse!!!

Once the smoke cleared and settled I sat and meditated some more.

To end the ritual I used my selenite wand to cleanse myself and space and held it to my heart and took many deep breaths in and out while speaking positive affirmations!!!

🍊🌙 ||: the "everything but the kitchen sink" money/prosperity jar spell

honestly, this is a very basic spell and if you switch “money/prosperity” for a different intention, you can use this as a basic crash course in how to make any jar spell! also, if you noticed i used parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme, don’t worry. it IS intentional ;~) this is my first time actually posting a spell, too...!!

things you will need ---

outside of the jar

jar with a lid or cork (i used an old spaghetti sauce jar #thriftwitch)

candle (any color works, i used yellow. if color plays a lot into your craft, i'd suggest green, yellow, or white; or just whatever you associate with money/prosperity! if you don't want to seal your jar with wax, feel free to skip this)

incense (i used honeysuckle because i use honeysuckle for everything, but anything you associate with money/prosperity is fine. this is for cleansing--if smoke isn't an option, for whatever reason, do whatever cleansing you prefer)

sharpie (or other writing utensil that will write on the material of your jar)

sigil(s) for money/prosperity (for writing on said jar. i used the first one in this post, a dollar sign, and the alchemical symbol for earth. if you don’t want to do this, feel free to skip this and the sharpie)

crystal(s) for money/prosperity (i used clear quartz and citrine. this is for charging the jar once it’s finished. if you’d rather not, feel free to skip this)

inside the jar

any herbs/spices/dry ingredients you associate with money/prosperity, and protection and/or happiness, if you’d like a real jack of all trades. here’s what i used, but i suggest doing your own research and following your personal associations:

basil

bay leaf (with sigil drawn on it, if you’d like. i used a green-barreled with black ink pen with the first sigil in this post. it can also be the same one you draw on the jar)

black pepper

chamomile

cinnamon (ground and/or stick, i used both)

clove

coffee grounds

dill

ginger

himalayan pink salt

nutmeg

parsley

rice

rosemary

sage

sugar

thyme

a coin/bill/money of some kind, if you can spare any (i used a nickel, but anything will work. or, if you really need to save every cent, feel free to skip this)

steps ---

1. gather materials

raid your kitchen cabinets/herb garden/what have you!

2. prepare for the spell in whatever way you would like

do whatever you normally do to start a spell; cast a circle, cleanse, ward, meditate, dance, clap, scream, call upon a deity or multiple deities, if that’s your jam. you can write the sigils on your jar now or after it’s sealed, i did it after.

3. light your incense and candle, if applicable

use the smoke from the incense to cleanse the jar, and the ingredients as you add them if you’d like. any ashes it produces before you seal the jar can be added to it, or if it’s after you can collect them and use them in black salt.

4. throw it all in the jar

okay, don’t actually throw it. that’ll just make a mess. but you know what i mean! there’s no real order to how you should do this, just do whatever feels right to you. whatever works! make sure to focus on your intention while you do this as much as you can.

5. seal your jar

put the lid on/cork in, and seal it with the wax from the candle, if you want. once it’s sealed, surround it with your crystals. let the incense burn out, then feel free to move your crystals whenever you feel they’re ready. trust your intuition.

6. finished!

or, in other words, profit. put your jar somewhere safe!

And now, we need to activate the sigil.

I use a method that I developed myself based on a few other practices I have seen, and it works really well.

Activating the Sigil

Continuing with our above example, we are going to create an incantation that will activate this sigil.

Most of my incantations, particularly for sigil activation, are derived from Latin. I have found that the flow of words in Latin is particularly powerful in creating spells and incantations.

For this sigil, I will use the Latin word for "happy".

Happy= Gavisus (joyous, rejoicing)

You'll notice, however, that there are several different words in Latin that translate roughly to the same thing in English, so be sure to pick the best possible match.

I am also going to use the word for "create" .

Create= Creo (create, produce)

Now, combine the two words into one.

Creovisus= Create happiness.

However, we are not finished. Now that we have the sigil and the incantation to activate the sigil, we must complete the process by actually activating said sigil.

Place your hand over the sigil you have created and close your eyes. Imagine all of your energy pouring into that sigil, making it almost seem to glow. For me, it helps to visualize this energy as white light flowing from my palm. Once the energy has reached it's peak, speak the incantation clearly and with purpose: Creovisus.

Visualize the sigil bringing to you unabounding joy and happiness. When you are ready, open your eyes.

The sigil is now activated and ready for use.

What do Sigils do?

Sigils can be created and activated to fulfill a number of different duties. Most commonly, sigils are used as a sort of charm, carried with a person (usually the creator) in order to bring about that particular sigils purpose. However, that is certainly not the extent of all that sigils can do!

I have used sigils before as a charm, a taglock for another person in a spell, as the spell itself, in curses, and much much more. As many spells as there are, there are just as many purposes for sigils.
