this is so important.  this is the most important.  like, do you know how hard it is to find queer mentors as a kid, to see queer people in positions of authority?  and more than that - how much bullshit we have to put up with from heteronormative and cisnormative school administrators, from homophobic and transphobic adults in power?  how many times we’ve sat in classrooms and listened to teachers give their biphobic views of history or literature or science or whatever, sat at dinner tables and listened to friends’ parents say shit that hurts?  and then here’s harry potter and all of them are queer no exceptions
