November 9th, 2020: Meet Kyoto’s newest maiko! Fukushino (ふく凌) of Horiyae (堀八重) in Miyagawa Cho has made her formal debut as the imōto of Fukuai (ふく愛). Her outfit features a beautiful kimono with waves and treasure ships, an obi with stylized ginkgo leaves, and an obiage of paper cranes. She is the second of Miyagawa Cho’s four minarai to make her debut this fall season ^^ おめでとうさんどすふく凌ちゃん ^o^! Images are courtesy of My Kyoto Photo [1] [2].

Happy birthday! I’m sorry to hear you’ve been under the weather. I’ve had the pleasure to take part to you watch alongs and it was so fun every time! Thank you so much for your kind words!! I’m honestly in the best headspace I’ve been since last April, and it’s really weird that all it’s taking is an extended amount of time just.. being GOOD. Like, no real life problems to deal with (like at Christmas with the accident and theft), and not feeling like I’m the only one doing my job, and just essentially forgetting about how much work I’m seeing piling up in the queue and NOT having to do it because it’s someone else’s problem. It’s kinda nice. LOL I just look at it, and then go “boop, don’t care, time to go be an inquisitor”, LOL.

Ahhh, guys, HONESTLY. This was the right decision for me. I feel so much better <3

hello! thank you so much, that’s so nice of you! I got the stickers from planner’s alleyway here: https://www.plannersalleyway.com.au/ but I’m not sure if they still stock them as I got them quite a while ago. and yes each sticker has a word at the bottom!

i assume you mean when we’re all allowed to leave our homes yeah? so for that i’m thinkin of a laidback catchy summer song because ppl can be with their loved ones again and we can all enjoy the weather and freely do the things we like and go for walks through the park and on the beach :)

1. First things first, did you have a good year?

I’ve had some of the most incredible experiences of my life this year but it’s also been one of the toughest I’ve ever had. On balance I’d say it’s been good but I’m looking forward to making some major changes in 2020 so that scale will be tipped further into positivity!

25. Do you regret not doing anything?

I wish I had carried on studying and made more of an effort to make some new friends near where I live

43. What have you learned about yourself this year that you didn’t know in the years prior?

This year has really brought back my creative side, I’ve written more in the last 5 months than the last 5 years and have loved that, so reminding myself that I have some writing talent has been nice.

Otherwise, I’ve learnt that I can’t be everything for everyone all the time and am slowly learning that I don’t have to be everyone’s best friend to have worth. I’m not very far along that process but I’m much further than I used to be!

12. What is the external conflict? Fae queen vs. the human realm (specifically, Celine). Fae queen wants back into the world after she/her court were banished, Celine very much does not want that to happen but isn’t in a very good position to stop it
