Geto is in the kitchen. Humming along to a song that plays faintly in the background. He's more focused on the food that's currently cooking in the pan. Brows furrowed in concentration and lips pressed together in a thin line.

Until, "Ah! Satoru! What have I told you about scaring me when I'm in the kitchen? I can and will smack you with a frying pan Rapunzel style." He said, waving the spatula in Gojos face. Gojo just laughed and rolled his eyes. "And ruin this pretty face?"

Geto looked him up and down. "Eh." Then he went right back to cooking. "Eh?! What do you mean eh?! Do you not love me anymore?!" Geto sighs. "Why is that the first thing you think every time? Of course I love you." Gojo smiles happily. "I just think pretty is the wrong word." It should end there. That should be it.

But with Gojo that's never it. "Then what is the right word? Handsome? Gorgeous? Impossibly beautiful?" Geto snorts. "More like a dumbass."

"Hey!"

"Alright alright! Maybe, cute." Gojo pouts. "I'm not cute." He rests his chin on Getos shoulder and earns a laugh from him. "Sure. Whatever you need to tell yourself."

Gojo is such a nuisance. But he's Getos nuisance. The matching rings they wear is proof of that. "Whatever you need to tell yourself." Gojo mocks in a pouting tone.

Yeah. He really is a dumbass.

Nina Mazursky fanfic - The Mermaid

Premise: What if… Nina and Aquaman were friends/step-siblings?

Reason for writing it (spoilers): Never saw Creature Commandos (too gory and sad for my taste and no MAX account), upset with what happened to Nina, saw a comment saying how “if Aquaman was involved, none of this would happen…” and so…

Cliff notes version: 

Edward Mazursky is looking for a way to adjust to his daughter's new metahuman condition, and finds out about Arthur Curry in an article. A young boy in Amnesty Bay Maine saved a family that was ocean fishing. The article notes that the boy didn't stop to take air during the rescue. 

Edward and Nina move to Amnesty Bay, for research on giving a way to help Nina live a normal life. 

While Edward speaks with Tom Curry, Arthur “talks” to Nina through telepathy. At first, Nina is scared, but eventually they make a connection with eachother.

Throughout their early adolescents, Arthur and Nina bonded through swimming practice and playing by the beach.

Edward started teaching Nina how to work with tech and engineering. She would years later use those skills helping Tom rewire the lighthouse and save a stranded ship that blacked out.

The local school had a bully that would try to pick on Nina, but Arthur always did his best to protect her from that particular bad actor. Everyone else in town slowly got used to Nina’s appearance. 

Passing sailors would comment that, “She must be a mermaid or a siren of some kind.” While returning sailors say, “She’s a pure little angel.” (she might have picked up a sailor's mouth, lol)

One day, Edward had a stroke and became bedridden until his death some time later. While still a teenager, Nina was adopted by Tom Curry. The whole town mourned Edward like any other neighbor.

She graduated high school and applied for college for an engineering degree. Her first year was a bit challenging, but she managed thanks to frequent family calling and working in a tight-knit tech crew. 

When she returned, she was welcomed back with open arms. Amnesty Bay rebranded itself on mythical mermaids, since she and Arthur were seen together by travelers, it became a tourist trap.

She applied to be a teacher at the school and would occasionally be called a mermaid by her students.

Arthur would become Aquaman, and occasionally drag his step-sister into his adventures. Her skills in engineering would help when dealing with technological problems. Nina gave herself the code name of “The Mermaid.”

And when Arthur was declared “King of Atlantis”, Nina was given the honorary title of Princess. She lives in Amnesty Bay at the Curry Lighthouse, teaching at the local school and tinkering with Atlantean tech to create a new gizmo or two.

If Nina were to ever disappear or get hurt, Arthur would unleash the wrath of the seven seas on the perpetrator’s unfortunate soul. But if he's not on Earth, Nina will just have to pull out her water-powered deep-sea mech for self-defense (can't forget the high pressure water cannons and crushing claws on board).
