It just dawned on me that you’re pretty much fighting the same battle as we Supernatural fans were around this time last year. Same issue, same network, same shitty excuses.

And I just wanted to say that, while we haven’t gotten Charlie back, nor have we gotten a real apology, Robert Singer (a v. influential TV producer who has been on Supernatural since day one, and has a history of being a sexist fucktruck - see Lois and Clark) was quietly demoted from Executive Producer to Executive Consultant (and director) between seasons, and it’s generally believed to be as a response to the outcry after Charlie’s death. 

lbpq women and their allies in fandom need to keep shouting, keep fighting, and never let them forget who justifies the network’s ad sales - the viewer. And believe it or not, lbpq women make up a part of their viewership. If we Supernatural fans could make even a small change in an overwhelmingly sexist and homophobic show, you can make change in yours.
