Liz was drinking tequila and keeping Maria company at work while Max and Michael played pool. Liz was swinging her legs since she was too short to reach the footrest going across the bottom of the bar and doodling hearts with her and Max’s initials in them while they talked. Periodically, she’d look up to check on the boys and each time, Max would already be looking at her. He’d smile at her and put his hand on their handprint connection until it was his turn and Michael shoved him to get his attention.

Suddenly, Liz was jostled and spilled her drink just as she was taking a sip. She looked at who the offender was and was met with a very drunk tourist. “Hola! You quiero another drink, sexy?” He asked her, leaning way too close against the bar top next to her.

“Excuse me?” Liz snarled at him. The man was almost as tall as Max but broader and way too far into her bubble.

“Does that pretty mouth do anything other than..” he started, leering at her.

“YOU BETTER BACK OFF BUCKO!” Maria yelled, startling the man back a couple feet. Behind him, Max was running over from the pool table. He missed the bar table setting his drink down and it shattered hitting the floor. He could feel Liz’s stress through the handprint from across the room.

“Mind your…” The man growled at them.

“Don’t make me get my bat! Get out of here. And don’t come back.” Maria threatened him. The man pivoted to walk away and bumped into Max as he rushed over. They had a staring contest for a few seconds before the stranger backed down.

“Lizzie! Are you hurt? Are you ok?” He fussed over her checking her for injuries. If that man hurt one hair on her head he would make him regret it. He was a police officer he could hide a body if he had to.

“I’m fine, Max. I promise.” She kissed him to reassure him. “Thank you, Maria. You reacted before I could even comprehend what he said to me.” Maria nodded in acknowledgment of her thanks and took her hand off the bat behind the bar.

Michael got the dust pan and broom from behind the bar. He was familiar with beer bottle clean up, even if it wasn’t his fault this time. Maria always told him that was how to work off his tab, although now that they were kind of dating he had other ways of reimbursing her.

Thoughts On A Ship Name

Ok real talk, we need to have a serious conversation about what we should name the pairing of Max and Liz. The original time around we never really had a ship name, just max and Liz, probably because Miz or Lax sounded too stupid. Let’s put our thinking hats on guys. I’m actually completely at a lost. The best I can come up with is MaLiz or Maiz. 🤔🤔🤔

The Chroma Factions

Chroma are a rare subset of normal Mythcrean creatures, defined by their rainbow accents. If the main body of the creature is white, it is a Prism Chroma; for black, a Neon Chroma. Either Chroma can have the appearance of any animal, all that is necessary is the solid black or white, and the spectrum of accented color.

Children of Chromas will always result in another Chroma if both parents are Chroma, with the specific variation matching that of the parents. If the parents belong to different factions, it will be pure chance if the child will be Neon or Prism. Hybrid Chroma usually have the spectrum accents, but often have different colors for the main body.

The two factions are currently in opposition, fighting for territory in their ‘shared’ home: a large, secluded cove on the continent of Maliz. They are usually friendly to individuals not belonging to either faction, so long as they are neutral or aligned to the faction they are interacting with.

i kinda accidentally shipped them while coming up with my plot for the gravity falls AU (picture has nothing to do with the AU– it’s just maka and liz chatting over lollipops), and i really wanna show the AU to the world someday!!!!! also she’s almost like female soul? which is kinda why i see the dynamic work. but either way, she’s reallyyyy cool. like seriously. maka would be game.

this was the ultimate brotp. i want to hug them both. maka’s done so much for crona and crona would do anything in return. just- so caring!!!!!! hugs forever!!!!!

ok this was actually accidental as well. i made this fic out of a prompt i found on tumblr, and while i was writing i was like omg what, no it cant be…. it’s… shippable???? (if that’s even a word) idk man i mean, look at akane. bishounen alert

and this one definitely needs context. uhm, im not sure when exactly it started, but blame it all on my sister (lol no dont) for making a Guardians AU where maka shared a similar wavelength to nightlight (this was before jack = nightlight), and well, yeah. it just went downhill from there.

also jack has white hair. similar to soul… there might be a pattern…

(please read the au it’s actually quite good. i also helped in making the SE characters seem more canon/believable. and there’s soma so why not)

i am in love with this okay i will fite for the three of them. if there’s anything i love other than soma, it’s somakid, for reals. idk where i started with this ot3 tbh. it just happened. i also saw a few fanarts and some parts in the manga and anime were very nice, and they were the top three most popular characters in the second popularity poll in the manga? but im not entirely sure why i shipped them and what made me ship them.

they just work??? i love them. till this day. (although i’ve been more of soma lately… must draw kid more.)

After all this time, I’ve FINALLY drawn them!! The royal family!!

Queen Darla, King Venker, and little Princess Pearl! The Royal Family of Maliz, of Mythcre. Literally some of my OLDEST OCs ever, because they’re based on toys I had when I was little. Still have them, so the designs were adapted pretty closely, all things considered. 

It’s really nice to finally have official color refs for them for myself tho, at least digitally, aaaaaaaa
