October 31st, 2018: One maiko’s story is coming to an end while another’s is about to begin! Mameryū (まめ柳) of Tama (多麻) in Gion Kobu on the left has switched to yakko shimada ahead of her November 21st erikae. On the right is a new Tama minarai, whose name is Mameju (まめ樹)! She will have her debut in November as well, although her onesan is currently unknown. In the middle is Tatsuha (多都葉), also of Tama, who debuted early last year and has grown into a wonderful maiko ^^ Image is courtesy of Exclusive Kyoto.
