This is the man who exiled Tommy and Wilbur, who called for tubbo’s execution

Rewatching the War on the 16th streams, and I don't think I'll ever get over the happy five minutes. Because for five minutes, the Pogtopians had a perfect happy ending. Schlatt was gone, there was no traitor, Tubbo was the new president. Everyone was laughing and joking (mostly about absentee George) while tearing down the old festival decorations. When Tommy, Wilbur and finally Tubbo were playing Hot Potato with the presidency, Wilbur sounded genuinely proud of his friends to be giving them the seat of power. In the three seconds between Philza joining the server and Technoblade shooting the first rocket at Tubbo, there were jubilant celebrations, because it seemed like it was one of those times when Dream would let new people in after big events.

And then so suddenly, the smiles disappeared, along with the nation. The cracks had been showing since the beginning - Wilbur saying in his speech that he didn't believe in government, the non-Pogtopians in the crowd refusing to show respect to Tommy, Wilbur disappearing after the speech, Niki breaking part of the grandstand to find it packed with TNT - but no one wanted to see them until it was glaringly obvious that the day would not end so well.

I'll never get over the happy five minutes.

Tubbo's thoughts during his execution (+plus art i made^^)

Tubbo dolled up for the festival. He used his old memories from when Niki was teaching him how to do makeup. He made his hair the way Tommy used to do it. And he wore his prettiest spotted dark green tie. His suit was just the base of his L'manberg uniform made look more suitlike.

He put his whole heart and soul into the decorations. He made an exellent speach. Everything was perfect. But he knew. He knew that Schlatt knew. And Schlatt knew that he knew. They were living in a mutal understanding. Or so Tubbo thought. He was prepared to see consequences of his treachery. He was prepared for imprisonment. For death even. He just didnt think it would be on his festival.

Thats why he was scared while seeing Schlatt make that ugly yellow box. And he was scared when he heard Technoblades name. But he stoped being scared when he saw him. He saw Techno as hope. And he turned his head just before the fireworks lounched to look at his bestfriend. He has stoped caring about not letting people know where the exiled are.

He just wanted a last glance.

you guys know how in quackity's nov. 16th vod, he was quite literally blown away by the tnt? i have a scenario for you guys:

imagine. you're quackity. philza minecraft just logged onto the server, nobody knows where wilbur is, and everyones confused. you hop onto the old podium for a millisecond, and boom. theres an explosion right under you.

(the next segment is mostly from my personal headcanons, bear with me)

after the sudden explosion, you thankfully land into a pool of water. your ears are ringing, you cant hear shit, so you just frantically look around just to make sure everyone else is okay. you climb up some debris and there he is. the man of the hour. philza minecraft. behind him? wilbur soot. wilbur climbs down with this crazed look in his eyes and his mouth going a mile a minute. after a couple seconds, you find some people standing on a destroyed plank and you go to join them. while the ringing in your ears is loud, everyone's screams are louder. you look over where phil and wilbur were for a second. philza looks out to everyone staring back at him, turns towards wilbur, and stabs him with a sword.

unpopularity opinion but c!shlatt was a political genius for the c!Tubbo execution, like c!Tubbo was a foreign operative undercover in Manberg with intent to over throw a democratically elected leader, c!Shlatt KNEW executing Tubbo would be a fantastic chance to cause tension the the Pogtopian ranks (he was probably gonna kill tubbo anyways, now he just had a good reason to do it publicly).

When you factor in c!Technoblade being the executioner, is when the real million iq stuff comes in, Technoblade was withought a doubt the reason pogtopia even had a chance at revolution, he was literally the brain and blood of the whole thing (being the one to mange the farms, training, and resources) Shlatt DEFINITELY recognized this. By having Techno, a certified parinoid recluse, be the one to come up and kill him, Shlatt effectively butchered his relationship with Tommy, and therefore the WHOLE of pogtopia.

i mentioned earlier Techno being the brains and blood of the operation (brains meaning that wilbur very obviously wasn't in his right mind) however, we all know TOMMY was the heart. he connected the whole of pogtopia, and ensured it made its reputation as a nation to watch. Shlatt would be an idiot not to know this. He'd also be an idiot NOT to know about how close Tommy and Tubbo are, Shlatt had Techno kill Tubbo to sever pogtopia from its strongest ally, and in doing so (here's the real kicker)

ruined Technos reputation to the point that the execution is STILL brought up against him.

c!Shlatt not only made a decision SO influential that he spearheaded c!Techno propaganda on the server, THE PROPAGANDA TOOK HOLD IN THE FANDOM TO THE POINT ITS CONSIDERED A FACT BY SOME THAT TECHNO CHOSE TO KILL TUBBO! GENIUS!!
