A party was never quite a proper party in Tevinter until there was at least one assassination attempt, and the novelty in the attempt at Magister Caius’ party lay not quite in its actual occurrence but in the ambition of its assassin.

At the height of Caius’ decidedly juvenile lyrium-laced drinking game, during the start of dinner, Magister Fabiana made a sudden gesture close to the Divine, all the while leaning closer, as if to say something private. Divine Leonthius' hand snapped up, viper-quick, grabbing Fabiana’s hand high on the wrist. She rose from her seat, fright and outrage both in her eyes, fire stealing hot up from her trapped wrist before it was abruptly… gone.

Shock froze Fabiana’s snarl in her throat, even as, with a gentle, almost intimate economy, Leonthius pulled Fabiana towards him and shoved a dagger up through her ribcage.

Cablepool Fic Recs

There’s a few old fic rec posts floating around, so I’m going to try and give some love to the lesser known stories and some personal comic!verse favs 

Anything by Manic_intent! Plus, they recently reposted most of their works!

My two fav's from the collection above: What Is, Is- A role reversal where Wade is the one coming from the future. Also has some great Domino moments, which is the cherry on top!

Tangled Up In Blue- Where Nate is the crazy merc and Wade's the wanna-be savior so it’s a good time. 

Fractal- Nate Grey/Deadpool So, not technically Cablepool, but still a great story. Nate Grey is sorta Cable's clone?? It's a very confusing timeline for the Summers fam, but this is a fun story with some Cable jealousy at the end.

Motormouth- Wade gets cursed and he can't stop talking. The premise of this is GREAT and so well executed!! 

In Praise of Existence- One my fav short fics, so cute and happy and sweet :,)

You Could Have Just Asked- Wade's bored on Providence so Nate sets up a job for him. Nate is great in this and I love the back and forth between them!

Bluemen- That tumblr, tropey 5 times +1 flower prompt, so you already know it’s gonna be great!

Agrimony- I have a thing for flower fics I guess

Anything by Rallamajoop is great! These are my four favs:

Something Red and Something Blue- Nate proposes!!! What can go wrong? (that’s rehtorical.) 

Inked- Nate wakes up w a tat lmaooo 

Summers'son- A Teen!AU that has everything you could ever want- including multiple endings. It's like a choose your own adventure, but you win every time! 

Wade's typical, ordinary, probably-totally-normal day- Wade has amnesia but it's a quick, fun adventure

You Ought To Give Me Wedding Rings- Nate's black mamba fantasy (it's a thing in the comics that shows your deepest, darkest desire and Wade’s was giving Nate a back massage on a beach). 

Salads and Scrambled Eggs- AHHHH If you can't already tell, I'm a sucker for domesticity 

Lookin For Some Happiness- Wade's healing factor stops working and Nate's there to help him :,)

Human Lawyer!AU: Motion Practice- There are a bunch of pairings in this verse (90% of which idk so don’t let the word count freak you out bc most verses aren’t cablepool), So below are links to the Nate/Wade specific stories. This author is a phenomenal writer and even though most of the main fic has Wade dating someone else, the story is so good I found myself not minding. There's a lot of buildup to Cablepool being endgame and the interactions with Hope leave me a puddle on the floor. 10/10

A Fine And Proper Upbringing- Nate gets turned into a baby lmaooo

When You Kissed Me- 5 times they kissed (warning the end will make you sad but it's the kind of angst that comes w canon cablepool anyway)

#weathervane- Where the cablepool shippers are the citizens of Providence, the text chats are hilarious

The Merc Who's A Mute-  We all know one of Deadpool's biggest assets is his ability to jabber in any situation. He uses it as a tactic to confuse (and annoy), as a way to ensure opponents underestimate his abilities, to mask his insecurities through jokes and long-winded speech patterns, and, lbr, to provide comedic entertain to the readers/viewers. This fic explores what Deadpool would be like if he couldn't hide behind his words and I adore this concept. Ik this is a wip, but the premise is SO intriguing I have to recommend it. 10/10

Hope-Centric Stories (Nate’s adopted daughter, it’s a whole thing)

Sugar & Spice & Everything Nice-

A super cute story of Nate and Wade being Dad's to Hope including some time travel. This is technically a wip BUT it doesn't end on a cliffhanger and things are resolved so I very much recommend reading

Everything Nice part 7- The master post doesn't link to this part and instead redirects to part 6. 

Part 9- Also not included in the master post. 

Styrofoam Pumpkins- Part of Manic_Intent's Cablepool reposting collection! Wade takes care of Hope in the future when she gets separated from Nate and WOW I love it. 

Homeward Bound- Wade and Hope adjust to Nate's second death (Nate dies a lot but seems to pop back up in spite of it. Can anyone stay dead in Marvel??)

... Makes Perfect- Domestic fluff basically

In Winter Fell Rain- Nate and Hope slide through time. Some of the language is a little outdated and not PC despite being a fairly recent fic, but it's so adorable that I still recommend it. Plus there's 2 parts!

Smut (and a lil plot)

It Tickles His Fancy- They tickle each other and it's fucking adorable ok

Dick Pics- Everything about this, damn son

Feeling Small- This is so cute I wanna cry, I love when fics explore Wade's insecurity with his appearance. 

Crazy For Your Touch- Wade's skin is sensitive. idk I just like fics where Wade is taken care of bc he never is in the comics

Helping Hands- The whole premise of this KILLS me

A Little Frantic- Wade gets hit with a drug. Not sure how I feel about the consent here bc it's blurred possible uncomfy, but the last 2 chapters are caring cablepool interactions! DP/Everyone, established open-relationship for Nate/Wade.

Porn Mode- Subby Wade!

Practicing Self-Restraint- Wade owns a lot of panties

Sexy Shenanigans- I love any fic that involves annoying Scott or putting him in uncomfortable situations, esp bc he doesn't like DP hahaha

Procrastination Nation- Comic!Wade is very insecure and I like seeing him try to get over that

Valentine's Day- I'm here for the fluff and cuteness :)

End of The Line- Nate not understanding the concept of phone sex is GREAT (but the racist joke about how Japanese ppl speak English in this fic is not)

Comments: 8/10. It’s a sort of collection of time stamps, showing little snippets of Dean the priest and Cas the angel’s life together on the road and hunting monsters. They get together and Cas teaches Dean the carnal pleasures of the world, cuz Dean is a virgin, for once.
