Random Wingfeather Falls idea (I told you I have these all the time): Sleepover with Sara, Leeli, Mabel, Maraly and Pacifica.
Mabel is the only one among them who has ever officially had a sleepover and she is trying very hard to direct them.
Maraly would never admit it but she kind of likes having her nails painted.
Their conversations swing wildly from boys to knives to the wacky adventures they’ve had.
For some reason I’m imagining them in Dugtown so they have to take a break halfway through because Shadowblade has been summoned to deal with miscreants and the rest of the girls are like, “Welp, we’re coming to.” (RIP to whoever they corner in a dark alley)
They do indeed end up braiding each other’s hair.
Maraly insists that they tell scary stories so Pacifica tells them about that one time her house was haunted by a vengeful lumberjack ghost that almost turned everyone permanently to wood. Mabel adds random details that have no relevance to the plot. Maraly is suitably impressed.
Leeli keeps trying to play songs that are popular on Earth that Mabel’s let her listen to. Do with what you will.
Sara and Maraly also feel the need to tell a story together so they recount the battle of Dugtown and the aftermath.
Somehow they end up in Glipwood and Leeli shows them around. Between the two of them she and Sara can remember the way to Artham’s treehouse and they camp out there for a night too.
They did not tell anyone where they were going. Cue a mad scramble to try and find them by Gammon and whoever else is meant to be watching the girls.
Maraly says she can get them back to Dugtown by going through Glipwood forest. Leeli and Sara do not believe her. Mabel and Pacifica learn what a toothy cow is and that grappling hooks are useful for escaping from them.
They end up back in Dugtown, unharmed and muddy, with leaves and twigs in their hair, as fast friends. They get yelled at. They grin and promise not to do it again while crossing their fingers like Mabel showed them.
