I saw an account that was dedicated to hating on James potter so I’m gonna do the opposite

James Potter took in an abused close friend without question

James Potter understood a chronic condition a friend had that most people were prejudiced against

James Potter grew up in a purist, privileged family, but was still friends with half-bloods and muggle borns and refused to make that his quarry with people

James Potter included an underdog in his friend group that most people ignored.

James Potter sacrificed himself for his wife with no wand on his person in front of the darkest wizard known to man

James Potter was immensely intelligent, and was top of many of his classes and even found how to turn into an animagus illegally for the good of his friend

James Potter was a teenage boy at 15. We saw ONE scene with him where he bullied a boy, who was a canonical bigoted, paranoid, blood supremacist — and therefore, everyone hated him.

James Potter was a kid who made a mistake, but had so many other people vouch for his character as he was a good, kind-hearted person. He matured, while Snape grew bitter.

Don’t come at James Potter.

Pandora and Evan are fraternal twins but have always looked uncannily alike and they both transition at about 16 and when they do they each look exactly like the other did before transitioning but when Evan dies it takes everything in Pandora not to detransition just so she can see the face of her brother living again

It’s currently 4 am and I’m apparently going to be stuck being awake for a bit so here’s a thought that came to me a bit ago and hasn’t left me since

Whether they’re platonic or romantic I think Barty and Reg have one of the most important relationships in the entire marauders fandom

These two just undeniably understand each other on a level that no one else can really understand

They both have this darkness that lives within them, something that only they know how to deal with and live with

Somewhere along the way they realized that no matter how hard Evan and Pandora and Dorcas and even James, Sirius and Remus tried to understand their connection no one really could, not even James and Sirius

James and Sirius were always close, if anyone should understand their bond it would be them, but not even they do

James and Sirius are outward chaos but they handle their emotions differently than Reg and Barty who are known to lash out, who know the things they say in anger are never what they mean, who can only give each other the full brunt of their emotions because they’re so much deeper than anyone else seems to understand

They balance one another out and bear the weight of that crushing, all consuming darkness together. It’s what keeps them from completely losing their minds

Platonic or romantic these two need each other

jily but it’s james constantly asking lily out/hitting on her/being annoying up until their fifth year

jily but it’s lily thinking james is making fun of her and hating him for being so irritating up until their fifth year

jily but it’s james and lily agreeing to be friends by the end of fifth year, and james accepting that all he’ll be is lily’s friend and that’s more than enough for him

jily but it’s lily slowly falling in love with james throughout sixth year but refusing to admit it because she’s stubborn and never wanted to be with someone like him

jily but it’s james and lily becoming really good friends, finding out things about each other that no one else knows, learning to respect and understand each other, and just overall having so much sexual tension it’s embarrassing

jily but it’s lily initiating their first kiss by seventh year, finally accepting how she feels, but also terrified james doesn’t feel the same way

jily but when they do kiss, james is so excited and taken aback, and all lily wants to do is kiss him, but eventually james pulls away and insists that he’s going to do this right, that he’s going to take lily out on a date

jily but when they do go on their first date, it’s so lovely and wonderful and perfect and they both agree to take things slow, but by the end of the night have sex

jily but they act like parents to the rest of the marauders, and spend their seventh year in love and happy and healthy, lily cheering james on during his quidditch games, james making sure lily doesn’t push herself too hard when studying, both of them balancing the other out in a way others never can

jily but they have their fights and their rough moments, but overall choose to love each other and choose to be their for each other, no matter if there’s a war waging outside their home
