🌹August is the month dedicated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, the spiritual representations of the joys, sorrows, virtues, compassion, and love of Mary, Mother of God and all Creation 🌹
Catholics and other Christians often celebrate with prayers of thanksgiving and honor, as well as spiritual consecration. The Immaculate Heart is often depicted with a sword wound, representing the prophecy of Simeon and the seven sorrows of Mary, a crown of roses, showing her virtues and Queenship, and a burning flame, representing her fervent love for God and humanity
Sweetest Heart of Mary, Immaculate and good, I turn to you in consecration and prayer this month of August. Let the tender love that burns forever in you warm the faces of your children, and remember us in your prayers. Good Mary, graceful and humble of heart, may my heart be ever united with yours. Pray that I will hate sin and injustice, love God and my neighbor, and let my love for the Almighty grow daily in my heart. Heart of August’s Queen, pierced with a sword but crowned by the angels, full of love for God and man, pray for me, that I may find heavenly virtue and strength of heart. Teach me how to allow the Heart of Jesus to rule inside me as it rules inside you, and lead me by hand to my sweet Jesus. In the name of the Sacred Heart, I pray, Amen
