"I'd even move the rivers for you," said Eddie suavely. After countless boring disastrous hopeless blind dates, he'd finally found the love of his life. No matter what the cost was, he needed to marry Steve Harrington after today before his only chance could pass. "All you have to do is ask, darling."
"Really?" Steve's eyes lit up like stars in the night sky. And Eddie wanted to spend the rest of his life drowning in them. "Are you sure?"
"Never been more than in my life." He reached for Steve's hand and pressed a kiss on the back of it.
Steve smiled, sweet and pretty, the ultimate goal in Eddie's bright future.
"Hah... hah... how... How long till we get there?" Eddie wheezed, bending over with his hands on his aching knees. It was his fault for not expecting Steve to take his words literally.
They were only two months into their honeymoon, but this was already the third hiking trip Steve had brought him to. Knowing his beautiful, sporty husband, there would be more outdoor activities in the future, and Eddie couldn't decide whether he was terrified or excited about it.
Checking his watch, Steve winked at him. "About thirty minutes. You're doing great, babe. Let's keep up the good work, okay?"
Like a dog that was about to be put down, Eddie whimpered, "Anything for you, angel."
i can’t stop thinking about how funny it would be if dan and phil applied to be on married at first sight. they’d obviously get matched and then The Phwedding™️ would take place on a random trash reality tv show. the other couples would HATE them. someone would probably look them up, discover their 15 years of lore, and crash out. everything is crashing and burning around them but dnp are just vibing. unbothered kings. they still refer to each other as roommates/coworkers/friends. they never address their marriage outside of the show

Bruce Wayne has to deal with his oldest son - his first child, his first baby - willingly signing up for a reality TV show that matches him with a total stranger so they can get legally married. Imagine the security issues?? The logistics of Dick Grayson, vigilante Nightwing, trying to hide his secret identity whilst living with a total stranger and being followed around by a camera crew??? And, god forbid he gets coincidentally matched up with a criminal or a supervillain or something???
And allow me to reiterate that they know absolutely nothing about this person until the day of the wedding. Dick didn't even tell them - couldn't tell them, due to the way the show works - until 2 weeks before then. This is Batman's worst nightmare. Bruce is having an aneurysm, a fucking stroke
But you know what makes it worse? Bruce has a very well-established public persona as "Brucie" - Brucie, who would be over the moon at any of his children getting married, regardless of the circumstances, and who it would be rather suspicious if Bruce suddenly dropped in favor of opening interrogating his new child-in-law. So Bruce is having an aneurysm, is absolutely livid with stress and paranoia, yet Brucie has to grin and laugh and pretend like he's totally fine
Imagine Brucie trashes the wedding. Like, shows up already ""drunk"" and sobbing about how he's just So Happy his oldest son is getting married, and then crashes into the wedding arch, fully knocking it over. Maybe ""accidentally"" sets the venue on fire. It's the only way he can protest

Dariela sat beside Cali on the couch eating boneless wings. She vented to Cali about her life and how she was finally glad that her relationship with Jalen was over.
"Now that it's over. I just want to do something different in my life. I mean I had Jalen but I want to discover who the new Dariela is." Dari told her in between bites.
She watched as Cali strolled on her phone just casually. "Are you even listening to me?" Dari questioned loudly.
"I am. I just saw this ad and it looks interesting...you said you want to do something different you should do this.
"The Vows." Cali read out loud as she showed her the phone.
"Yeah. It's like you get married at first sight. A camera team will follow you around and if you all stay together. You win six hundred thousand dollars.”
"What are you crazy? I'm not marrying a stranger nor do I want to be on tv." Cali laughed
"Think about it Dariela. There are professionals that match you with someone. You do it for however long and if it won't work. You don't loose anything and it will be good publicity for you at the hospital
It could work and you fall in love with someone dreamy." Cali tried desperately to persuade.
"No."
"Well I'm signing you up anyway. Dariela I think you should do this this." Cali said
"Cali I said no. I barely like anyone in my business. Why would I want the world in it."
"What are you scared of Dari? I didn't know you to be a wimp."
"I'm not scared of anything and I'm definitely not a wimp so stop."
"Who would have ever thought. Dariela Santos is scared of a challenge."
Dari rolled her eyes and Cali kept going on and on.
"You know what give me the dam phone. I'm Dariela Santos and I'm not scared of anything and I will prove it to you." Dari snapped snatching the phone and filling out the information.
Jey sat with Jon on the couch and the two talked back and forth.
"No, seriously. I think I'm ready to settle down." Jey laughed at Jon who expression was a bull shit face.
"Josh you're really serious?" Jon asked.
"Yesss." Jey stressed.
"Well start dating." Jon encouraged.
"I know that but I just don't want to go through dozens of girls to find that one." Jey explained.
"You should try this." The bartender interrupted
"Huh." Jey said as he filled their glasses up.
The bartender walked and grabbed a piece of paper handing it to Jey.
"The Vows." Both Josh and Jon read out loud.
Jey read the advertisement and his eyes twinkled not going unnoticed by Jon.
"You're not seriously thinking about doing this."
"Oh I am going to." Josh replied pulling his phone out to complete the online application.
Dariela was leaving work when her phone rung.
"Hella Dr. Dariela Santos speaking."
"Hello Doctor Santos this is Angela. I am a producer at Lifetime network. We reviewed your application and we would like to meet with you. For an interview."
Dari's mouth gaped she didn't actually think they would pick her at all.
"Okay. What's the date, time and place."
"We are hosting interviews at the Sheraton at 1pm on Tuesday."
"That's great. Alright I will be there." Dariela answered quickly as they hung up.
Dariela then thought about her parents and their opinions. Her mother was pretty opened minded. about certain things, now this was a bit much but her father was more conservative, strict and right away he wouldn't like it at all. He would be ready to disown her all together.
Dari quickly called Cali and told her they wanted to meet her on Tuesday.
"Oh my God. What are you going to wear?"
"I means it's an interview so probably a dress."
"Oh the off white dress you bought with me and gold heels." Cali thought.
"Yeah that was nice and figure flattering." Dari commented
The weekend had come and gone after getting caught up on patients Tuesday had arrived , Dari dressed and curled her hair. She put on makeup and jewelry. She looked over herself multiple times. She couldn't believe that she was putting this much thought into this marriage at first sight.
She walked into the room with all the other women and she looked around before sitting. Dari listened to experts talk about how serious this was and she couldn't believe yet again that she was here.
Dari sat and filled out the paperwork they gave her. She took the personality test from the psychologist. Looking at the test she honestly didn't know what she wanted in a man but she checked what she thought would fit her best.
Next were the interviews
Dari walked into the room and she sat down before the woman. "Hi, I'm Dariela Santos."
"Dr. Tyson sexologist. So let's talk about sex."
Dari immediately blushed but then nodded her head.
"Well I only have one man to go off of and he was my boyfriend / fiancé for 10 years. So..."
"So let's start with something easy, What turns you on?"
Dariela thought for a minute. "I like good kissing.
Right behind my ear and on my neck. Uh I also like firm touching; not soft caresses."
"Do you have any fetishes?"
"Uh no but I am a highly attracted to brown skin or light skin men." Dari answered.
"How many times would you have sex per week."
"Well I'm a surgeon, so whenever I'm off and have time. I would love to fit that in as much as possible.
I think that helps me relax a lot." Dari answered honestly.
"So what counts for cheating?"
"Emotional and physical. It's all cheating." Dari answered swiftly.
The woman continued to ask a lot more questions and Dari answered all of them before moving to
the next expert.
Josh walked into the hotel and after listening to the experts he walked into the room for the private interview.
"Hi I'm doctor Tyson, sexologist.
"Hi, I'm Joshua Fatu." He greeted sitting down.
"So this part of the interview is just to hear and get of feel of your sexual beliefs and chemistry. In order to match you with someone compatible.
"What are you looking for in a partner sexually?"
"Attraction isn't all physical. It's mental too. So I would like a woman who is intellectually stimulating, driven, strong, confident and has a good heart. Who dose not need a man but wants one. I think if she has those qualities I would be turned on mentally and just thinking about her would arouse me before I even get to her face and body.
The woman smiled as his response.
"Do you have any fetishes?"
"I'm highly attracted to women with real curves and a plausible height difference. I am an ass man but I feel like I like breast equally but I don't have any weird fetishes" Josh answered thinking.
"How many times per week would you want to have sex?"
"I mean the ideal would be everyday but that's not reality. I'm an anesthesiologist so I'm working on call shifts and things like that but when me and my wife are off of work I think resting and sex should be on the menu. So, if we can fit it in there then by all means." Josh answered.
"How would you feel to be with a woman who's not experienced as you are in sex."
"That's completely fine. I wouldn't mind showing a woman how she is supposed to be treated sexually. I want her to experience what it is to be sexually satisfied and loved from inside and out. We can create our own experiences, routines, positions, and whatever else."
After Josh finished answering those questions he moved to the next part of the interviews.
Jeff and the experts sat down two days later and they went through everyone's file, looking at their back ground check. Psychology test, personality test, answers and statements and pictures.
"Dariela and either Kyle."
"I think she would be a really great match with Joshua. Different career field. It seems like they hand picked each other. Everything she wants he seemes to be and vice versa." Dr. Tyson said and she watched as the others compared answers.
"Yeah your right. We will put those two together. I think it would good on tv to see two total opposites that are strangers, work through time consuming jobs and still try to get to know each other, figure it out and get married. America would love them." Jeff said thinking of the ratings.
"Okay so it's settled Josh and Dariela will be married at first sight."
The narrative gap here is Ed holding Stede steady as he got up and out of bed, and helping him on with his robe. Because there’s no way Stede managed any of that entirely himself at this point.
In fact, Stede probably needed quite a bit of help undressing and dressing during the entire clothes-swapping skit.
They basically got all close and naked, and swapped rings the moment they met. That’s married in a lot of people’s books.
Married at first sight australia would be better if they put a few lesbian couples on there. They had one lesbian couple years ago and have barely had gays on since and when they do it has only been gay men. Bring back my lesbians please. They'll put the most misogynistic men on earth on the show (tyson from season 13) but won't give us two women kissing
