Good morning!! Today I have a test and a presentation but it’s chill, I’m p sure I’ll be fine on both.
This isn’t study related, but last night my friend sent me a really sweet goodnight snap and it made think about how my friends are so great and how I’m so lucky to have friends who cheer me on and support me in my endeavors but still look out for my well being. The holidays are a really rough time for me emotionally, but this year I’ve been managing and it’s 100% because I finally have quality people around me. I love my friends so much~
Math again! 🤓
I've been doing a crash-review of Calculus and Intro to Proofs courses in preparation for my upcoming Advanced Calculus (what other universities may refer to as their undergrad Real Analysis course), and my mom trying to make sense of one of my problems had me laughing so hard. Will never forget her "3 logs in a butthole with Nancy plus one multiplied by NANCY!" This was a problem on a series ToT
Sometimes these algebra review questions are cruel. This is the third time this squirrel has gotten run over.
I’ve been reviewing for my content exam for teaching math to 4th-8th graders and it’s surprising how much skills I’ve forgotten. Still pretty fun trying to remember alot of the algebra, geometry, and pre-calculus.
Also, I’ve forgotten how to derive the quadratic formula from the standard quadratic equation and I’ve never personally done it myself so instead of looking the formula up, I tried it myself only to realize that my completing the square skills have been pretty rusty. Oh well. I looked it up and actually got to finish it without following the entire steps.
