Butterfly Follies (Final Thoughts)
So thanks to an Anon user I have been able to watch “Butterfly Follies” and here are my final thoughts in addition to what I wrote earlier.
1. The $650 gag continues and based on what happens in the show Marco has at least two months worth of Princess Turdina royalties.
2. Marco’s discussion with Eric was very interesting. The two of them just ended up being this really intense discussion about make-up until Star ruined it and Marco seemed kind of upset when Eric went away. I get the sense Marco felt they could really connect with Eric and Star quickly took that away.
Also Star seemed very dismissive of what they had done, “Well I guess that is another mistake I’ve made.”
3. I spoke about the satire comedy the Mewmans were doing quite awhile back when we got a sneak clip. Marco seemed very concerned about how the Mewmans would portray them in this satire comedy and I still feel Princess Turdina would have been an easy target for this and would have raised questions Marco is not yet ready to answer.
4. Beach day has me interested, especially with the episode which has been titled “Swim Suit” which will be next week. And I’ve already said I will be visiting “Running with Scissors” a lot this Season and this is one of those times.
A question that gets asked a lot is, “If Marco were trans, wouldn’t adult Marco be a woman?” or variations of that question.
Now, “Mathemagic” as an episode proves that SVTFOE adheres to the many worlds theory of time travel, which means not all futures will be the same. In reality, it means the paradox that Marco keeps barking on about is impossible too, you’d just end up with an alternate timeline.
Star holds onto that photograph, with the hope that it is proof everything will one day be okay for her and Marco, which might to be wrong but the fact Star has that photo in her present timeline, means her timeline has already been altered. The future as seen in that photo might not be the one Star and Marco will experience in this timeline.
And there is an obvious thing that, Star will likely wear a swimsuit when she goes to the beach, but Marco if trans might experience dysphoria wearing trunks. The episode, “Swim Suit” is Marco and Star planning their day to the beach, not actually executing it and the episode name indicates an importance to that piece of attire. I wonder why and I get the feeling this episode will be trans Marco related. Maybe I am wrong, but I do get the feeling it will be.
Anyway, moving away from trans Marco for this last part. How Star was treating Tom just seemed really awful and I don’t really know what to say, but it felt like Marco has more care for Tom than Star does at this point. I don’t have much more to say on this, but certainly something I am gonna be watching. Especially with how dismissive Star was with her mistakes later in the episode too.
