In case y’all need something to read during the last couple weeks of quarentine (at least until we have another wave around flu season *sigh*) you should read Taken. It’s by Eva Nguyen and its on Amazon for like $5.00 for a paperback and less for a kindle book. There are a few typos, but the story is really good and check out the cast of characters who bond and become an amazing squad of besties:
Redhead super smart girl with an alcoholic mother who basically raised her younger sister with their brother.
Computer geek jokester Asian boy raised by a single mother.
Implied-to-be-mixed-race Asian/white badass brunette jock girl.
Boy (race not stated) obsessed with combat and weapons.
Super compassionate but surprisingly sassy blonde girl.
Hispanic/Latino boy who is super loyal and kind and never gives up on anybody.
Middle-Eastern girl with (implied) PTSD who really likes biology and medical sciences.
Hawaiian boy who chooses not to talk for most of the book but is there for everybody when they need him.
Black boy who is super smart with robotics and super sarcastic.
Native-American girl who is the nicest softest character ever.
Macy.
Basically, if you like action, sci-fi, adventure (as well as romantic subplots) read Taken. It’s really good and after that cliffhanger ending I REALLY can’t wait for the sequel which is gonna be called Descending.
