I painted Dead God Maully from Ateam’s mobile game, Valkyrie connect. She would be a star on Dia De Los Muertos since she sort of shepherds souls. Painting is mine, character is not. Character belongs to Ateam.
Off to the Races with Moony
I better write this down before I forget. Drunk texting with The Viking tonight while he's on vacation seemed like a good idea at the time, but, dammnit! I've got a blog to run!
Anywho. Maully went out tonight (again) with Moony and this time she met his 11 year old daughter. *Queue dramatic music* (I must disclose that she doesn't have as much of a problem as I do dating a guy with a kid. Hell, I should write about her escapades with the guy in Michigan!) I digress.
We were discussing her [possible] date with Moony this afternoon, and I say "possible" because his text invite was less than savory (please forgive any and all weird word usage tonight).
Him: Hey, we're going to the races. You can come if you want.
More than less than savory. Who wants to go to an event under those parameters? If you're not willing to honestly invite someone out because you're genuinely interested in being with them, then don't do it. It's common courtesy. Who wants to feel like they're an after thought, I say? No one!
After I went to work, she told me that he fixed his invite to more or less the right wording, and then it was off to the races with Moony! And his daughter. And his friend. He picked her up and they drove to the races. She divulged that she had a good time and that meeting his daughter (a scary enough prospect in it's own right) was pretty easy. I guess she was just cool enough to hang.
They drank a little and had fun which is mostly what matters. We sat on the porch when she got back and filled me in on the details (which I'm still a little fuzzy on... damn drinking) while we drank and smoked.
She's still on the fence about him. On the one hand, she does like him enough to keep seeing him; there may be a small connection. He has his shit together and takes good care of his daughter that he loves to pieces. On the other hand, they're just not sparking as much as she'd like. He didn't get out of the car when he dropped her off, even to give her a hug good bye. No intimacy (though it's not entirely necessary on the first couple of dates, it is nice to at least know that the guy is physically attracted to you, as well). Right now, it's still a toss up to see if she'll keep Moony around.
Ah, c'est la vie.
