Early 2000s "chamber pop" has a sound. I think of The Silent League, Ashley Park, and Beulah. Actually, each of those bands has their own sound, but all fit comfortably under the canopy of "chamber pop".
Add Mazoni to that list. "7 Songs For A Sleepless Night" was originally released in 2003 on Barcelona label Bankrobber. Mazoni is the work of Jaume Pla, who is from Catalonia, Spain (La Bisbal D'Empordà - northeast of Barcelona).
At the time this album came out, Pla was in another band - Holland Park - who also released music via Bankrobber.
Since the early 2000s Pla has continued to release music as Mazoni. All of it is pop, all sounds wonderful.
