NOW HEAR ME OUT— Goth Regulus AU
Fic idea out there for the universe:
Once Regulus runs away from Grimmauld, he becomes friends with Barty who was in his punk phase at the time and Evan who was a classic alt.
This prompts Reg to try different styles, starting with his new friend's aesthetics. He actually loved it, the feeling of wearing something new to become someone else entirely. Yet it never truly fit him personally, at least not entirely.
That was until Pandora (cottagecore/witchy girl), introduced him to Siouxsie and the banshees. Regulus fell in love with the band, actually he fell in love with the whole Gothic aesthetic.
And so he poured everything (his money, sweat, and tears) into becoming the ultimate Goth. He spent months learning how to dress like a goth, how to do his makeup properly, and all his money went towards different goth concerts and vinyls.
Years later, while most of his friend grew out of their phases (except for Pandora and Barty), Regulus continued going to all sorts of goth festivals with the occasional rock concert here and there.
Most of the time he'd go alone and meet new people to hang out with throughout the day, but of course when he turns around after someone taps him on his shoulder it just so happened to be his estrange brother and his stupid gang of friends.
So how does this even happen? Very simple, The marauders just so happen to be very close to the Goth event, and Sirius being Sirius wanted to speak to one of people in the area.
He just so happen to pick the person he'd least expect to even be a goth at all, his little brother.
"Oh fuck, you're actually cool now.."
What follows is a complicated and messy story of the Black Brothers reuniting and trying to rebuild their relationship while also dealing with possible romance on the side (Jegulus??).
I spend way too much time thinking about this HAHA
