Dominion Master Market
"The third Dominion store in London will soon be opened on Hamilton Road. The new market is designed to offer additional shopping service in a district which has need for such a food centre. Featuring fluorescent lighting, wide aisles for shopping convenience, with specially designed shelves. Special refrigeration units give complete protection to perishables. The new Dominion store will have a 20 foot meat counter across the back of the store."
The signs out front read: Another New Dominion Master Market with Free Parking This image is looking westerly from the 'V' of Trafalgar and Hamilton Road west of Egerton Street.

Lamb Chop
National Bratwurst Day
It’s August 16, and we couldn’t pass up commemorating the flavorful, meaty treat, the bratwurst. The German sausage known as bratwurst or simply brat is a staple of Wisconsin festivals, sporting events, and backyard cookouts. Milwaukee is home to the long-time sausage producers Usinger and Klement’s.
The above images are the interior of the South Side Sausage Company. You can see the cases are well stocked, and the staff are ready and waiting to supply their customers with the day's fresh sausages. The South Side Sausage company operated from 1711 W. Mitchell Street in Milwaukee. The photos were taken on August 11, 1939, by Roman B. J. Kwasniewski.
These images can be found in the UWM Libraries Digital Collection Milwaukee Polonia and are from the Roman B. J. Kwasniewski Photographs (Milw Mss 22).

Today's Adventure at Kroger
Meat Counter Guy: Hey! Air Bender! You're here for some Salmon filets, aren't you! I just cut some nice and big today!
Me (Externally): Yes, two please.
Me (Internally): It's called a Triskel! My necklace is a Triskel. We've had this conversation 4 times now. The Air Bender sign starts out and swirls in, the Triskel starts in the middle and swirles out! Not to mention the HUGE difference in MEANING but sure... sure... I'm the Air Bender Girl.
