Going to subject myself to another gastroenterologist. Prior experiences have basically led me to manage out of spite or to avoid them but that simply isn't sustainable
I've had some not-so-hot times at my local MedPost clinic in the past but Head's Up to any trans/non binary folks out there because today was extra.
I have been there throughout my transition for a bunch of different things but today the receptionist marked me down as "queer/other" without saying anything to me. From there on the nurses and doctor refused to talk to me about why I was there until I confirmed that I was trans. And the nurse asked about what kind of underwear I had on. So. It was not smooth and I’ve never had them ask that kind of stuff before so I don't know what the deal was today but take care of yourselves out there. That shit is not okay and is not necessary for treating a patient.
