can we discuss the femslash pairings we ship and our headcanons for them (MEA included)?
maybe we can find other shippers (for our rare ships too!)
Hey everyone! Since it’s Femslash February and we haven’t hosted a week in a while, we’ve partnered with @omegastation to host a second Mass Effect Femslash Week! Unlike last year’s Femslash Week, we decided this year to make the entire week a “free week” -- i.e. there are no assigned ships to certain days. You can create and post content for any ship on any day throughout the week. We hope that this allows everyone to be able to celebrate any and all of their femslash ships, popular or not.
This year’s Mass Effect Femslash Week will be held from February 13 to February 20, 2017 (we apologize for the late notice -- we would postpone the week, but we think it’d be nice for Femslash Week to include Valentine’s Day). We will be tracking #mefemslashweek and, as always, #ladiesofmasseffect, so please make sure those are one of your first 5 tags!
And finally, a few ground rules:
No whitewashing.
No reposting.
Any kind of work is allowed – gifs, graphics, fanart, meta, etc.
NSFW content is allowed but must be tagged!
And obviously, this is a femslash ship week, so no non-femslash ships.
Please reblog this post to spread the word! We look forward to February 13! :)
The Tub
Mass Effect - FemShep x Liara
Shepard discovers the hot tub in Anderson’s apartment
Rated T - Words: 397
“Holy Crap,” was all Shepard managed to say when she walked into another bathroom. It was a recurring theme in her exploration of Anderson’s apartment. She thought her cabin on the Normandy was big, but this place...it was never ending...and the tub…
Shepard pulled up her communicator on her omni-tool and made quick work of calling her favorite space nerd.
“Shepard,” Liara’s voice greeted.
“Liara...” Shepard paused mid thought distracted by the bubbling water and obvious heat.
“Shepard? Are you alright?”
“Liara...” She tried again, “Hot tub.”
“Hot...Tub?”
“It’s huge!” Shepard almost bounced with excitement. “I bet we could fit the whole crew in here.
“Really?” Liara’s concern turned curious. “That would have to be a rather large tub. I suppose there is only one way to be sure. I will begin gathering the crew at once.”
“Wait, what?”
“See you soon.”
“Hello??” It was too late. The connection was terminated and it was only a matter of time before Liara would show up with too many people to try to fit in the tub. Probably for science.
Shepard scrambled. She wasn’t prepared to host guests. Usually, she only had to entertain one person at a time, more often than not, in her cabin while they hit on her and she pretends not to notice. She didn’t know why they bothered. She is a one blue woman kind of woman.
The doorbell rang. All Shepard had managed to put together was a bag of old tortilla chips and a bowl of rehydrated guac. She plastered on a smile, but couldn’t hide the panic showing itself as sweat. This was going to end horribly for everyone. Specifically Shepard.
She exaggerated. She knew she exaggerated. Liara should have know she was exaggerating. It was a big tub, but there was no way the whole crew would fit, especially if Liara brought the Krogans and James. They were just too big!
Commander Shepard took a deep breath and toughened up. She opened the door to greet her guests. Only there was only one.
Liara stood there in a long dark coat, not another soul in sight.
“Where is everyone?”
Liara shimmered with the flow of her biotics. The coat slipped off and piled at her feet. There was no other barrier to keep Shepard’s eyes from her skin.
“A good science experiment always starts with a controlled test.”
“...holy crap.”
things we could have said
She won’t say that she’s worried when Miranda is late to come back from the mission she went on. Or that her fingers almost dialed Oriana’s number in an attempt to see if Miranda ended up back with her. She doesn’t do anything but sit on the couch with Eezo and pretend like everything is fine as her eyes keep darting back to the door.
It was a bad idea to get this connected, she already let herself be compromised by her students, and anything more could just in devastation like it has in the past.
She still stays there until Miranda wanders in, early in the morning and a little worse for wear.
“Shit, someone get the drop on you, cheerleader?” Jack asks, standing up and inching just a little closer in case Miranda is about to fall.
“You’re not rid of me that easy Jack.” Miranda drawls, smirking at her. She may be bruised but if she’s snarking back at Jack then everything is fine and the alert in Jack’s head is over.
“Just my luck.” Jack shakes her head like she’s disappointed.
Miranda hums back in her agreement and moves, there must be something wrong with her leg because she’s limping just a bit.
Jack rolls her eyes and goes over to grab Miranda’s arm and swing it over her shoulders, letting Miranda’s weight rest on her.
“Concerned Jack?” Miranda sounds like she’s between astonishment and amusement.
“Shut up.” Jack says in response but she can see from the corner of her eye that Miranda is smiling.
It’s later when they’re in Jack’s bed and Miranda’s breathing has steadied in her sleep that Jack breathes her own sigh of relief. If her hand ends up closer to Miranda’s than it has before then neither of them say anything in the morning and if Miranda stares quietly at her and then she leans in to kiss Jack before she leaves then Jack doesn’t argue it.
She doesn’t tell Miranda to come back safely just like Miranda doesn’t tell her to be careful; they understand it all the same.
