Mending March Update #5
Eye strain really slowed down my mending train. I've only been able to work on knitting projects because they don't require as much direct focus. However, I was able to make some progress last night.
I unwound a pair of socks I knitted for my partner three years ago, right when I was getting back into knitting because they were way too tight. I've wrapped the yarn around this notebook to stretch it out after being knitted for three years.
I also mended some holes in one of my sister's sleep shirts. I was originally planning to darn them, but instead I decided to patch them with pieces of scrap t-shirt and running stitches. It's just as sturdy as a darn, if not more so, and it doesn't strain my eyes as much. They all look kinda the same though because I'm using a bunch of random orange embroidery floss for it. I managed to patch three and a half holes so far.
