how do ow2 characters hug you?? This work is going to be really simple and short! July is sometimes considered minority mental health awareness month so i thought some comfort headcanons would be nice<3

Lúcio tucks his thumb into his hand when hugging you(he doesnt know what to do with his hands)
Depending on how close you are he will pat your back.

Doesn’t understand why’d you want to hug him; He isnt the most comfortable material.
NEVER asks for hugs. He will absolutely ask to hold your hand…a hug is a different story.
Genji will agree to hug you but it’s probably awkward(he hasn’t hugged anyone in a very long time)
He keeps his hands open when hugging. His hands normally stay around your shoulder blades.
Very firm and stiff but once he realizes the fact that you really dont care thats he’s a cyborg(or the fact the hug is more emotional) He wont be so stiff.
Cassidy!!🚬
Doesn’t ask for hugs but he will initiate them! (will ask if you’re sensitive to touch) His go to method is that side hug with the grip on the shoulder.
Spreads his arms open (😭) to show you hes ready or the “Come on.” phrase. “Alright, briiing it in.”
Sometimes rocks you or the slight swinging motion.
Depending on how close you two are his hand placement will be open and around your hips(or love handles if you have them<3)
If you guys arent very close expect the good ole dad pat.
Most of the time waits for you to back out of the hug but sometimes he will pat your back to let you know he has something to do.

If you were any type of perfume she will notice and she absolutely will ask!
Her hugs are pretty soft, normally laying her head on your shoulder.
Does sometimes rock you, if she notices she might stop or just wont move as much.
Another one who tucks her thumbs in. Her hands lay around your upper middle back area.
I have a feeling she closes her eyes completely and opens them when finished.

Has and will continue ask!! He loves physical affection<3
Gets super excited when ever you ask for a hug because at least one person wants to be next to him!
Sometimes encases you completely; to the point you cant even wrap your arms around him.
Stinks…he stinks
You will have to verbally ask for him to let you go.
His hand are SPREAD open and where ever he feels like putting them for that hug.
you and Dr Ziegler have been chatting the nights away as she works till the morning, you on the other hand just like keeping her company... and not drinking her coffee
There's something about her presence and the warmth it gives off, like being caressed by a feather. everything about our dear Dr Ziegler seemed perfect, other than her coffee-making skills.
Those late night chats you would have, the lingering eye contact during the day, you couldn't get enough of it. Did she also think the same of your interactions?
It was one night, around 2AM at her office, when Dr Ziegler's lips parted to speak, "You know, Genji has also been keeping me company sometimes.." Your eyes immediately went to her, watching her intently
"..He also seems to like drinking my coffee unlike someone else!" She giggled, hand going near her mouth to slightly cover her smile as she keeps her eyes on the documents on her desk. You breathed out a small laugh, replying "Well, what matters is that I'm trying"
Her eyes glance up at you, "Are you really trying? Last time you drank my coffee was two weeks ago!" Your hand went to rub the back of your neck, avoiding her stare, "Since you remembered, I suppose I don't have a choice anymore..."
Your cheeks turn into a soft pink shade, which doesn't go unnoticed. Being able to survive such intense fights, yet cannot handle some coffee. "Here, let's put you to the test." the angel says as she hands you her cup. You slightly hesitate to grab it, knowing its taste. You stare into her eyes as the cup is millimeters away from your mouth, and you finally feel the bitterness on your lips.
You took one sip and force a smile at the Doctor. You start to speak, "Mmm!! So.. good...!", as you feel the flavor leave an aftertaste, you began to spit out at the air. "Well, I do tend to like my coffee bitter!", she laughs out.
Maybe one day you'll be able to drink her coffee...?
(½) LWJ gets hit with a curse that makes him say whatever he’s thinking with no filter, but everyone thinks it’s a curse of conflict because of the ridiculous things he says: “Brother is being foolish” “Uncle breaks more rules that WWX these days” “You say righteousness but all I hear is hypocrisy” “JGS was a coward siding with WRH during the war yet expects to become Chief Cultivator?” “Jiang Wanyin, shut up and reflect on yourself” "WY does not belong to you, he owes you nothing"
(2/2) But for some reason the curse acts rather strangely to the YP: “WY looks good in those robes, but better without them” “Don’t talk to that guy” “I trust WY” “2 parents are better than 1” “No, WY is not okay” (looking at me like that, do I look handsome today Lan Zhan?) “WY looks beautiful everyday” and as WWX is breaking the curse: “WY, what do I have to do to make you fall in love with me?

This has two of my favorite things- Lan Wangji dragging people and Lan Wangji not being able to help himself from blurting out how much he adores Wei Wuxian.
Dispite the objections and disappointment of her coworkers, Mercy bails a lot just to spend time with you. Cutting multiple days in a row avoiding her responsibilities just to enjoy a warm morning wrapped up in blankets snuggled along side you, the sunlight being blocked from your sight by her back assuring your peaceful sleep
You are her ultimate weakness, willing to do anything just to assure your blissful smile, making you top priority above everyone else
Mercy’s what you would call, a service top, but in a non sexual way. Willingly focusing on your wants and needs before her own, making sure you’re always smothered in her unconditional love with all the products your interested in pre ordered and in the process of being delivered
Of course she try’s not to be overwhelming, pacing how involved she physically is with you, only feeding you by hand at least once a day while forcing you down with cuddles at least twice a day
Whispered admiration said throughout the day as mercy holds you close to her chest, being gentle with you, caressing your hair combing through it with her nails
Snacks suddenly made when your busy committed to your work as a little picker’uper, ranging from popcorn as a small easy snack to brownies with little decorative hearts on them
Work days are when you truely get smothered in physical affection, mercy dragging you down onto the bed with her forcing you to embrace her as she smothers herself into your chest, needing your comfort
Aro/Ace WWX AU? WWX likes LWJ, but not “that way”- then again, he never felt “that way” for anyone else either. And so, the reason why he accepted LWJ’s advances and then proposal was more out of guilt/gratitude than anything else. LWJ realizes but doesn’t say anything because he’s actually guiltily fine with it - he’ll take whatever WWX is willing to give, and this way he can take care of WWX. LXC and JC on the other hand, were HORRIFIED when they find out. (1/2)

Wei Wuxian says ‘no’ at first.
“It’s not because I don’t like you!” he quickly assures when he sees the hurt and disappointment in Lan Wangji’s face. “Its just- I can’t feel that way about anyone! Uh, that... probably doesn’t make any sense either. Okay so um, I can love people- I love Jiang Cheng and Shijie and my friends- but I don’t think I can love anyone romantically... if that makes any sense?”
“Mn.”
“Oh, good! So I’m not saying no because I don’t love you, I just don’t love you in that way. So I can’t marry you just like I can’t marry anyone- you should be with someone who can return your feelings! You’ll be a great husband when you find them, Lan Zhan. Ah! I’m so jealous!”
“Will only marry Wei Ying.”
Wei Wuxian startled and gave Lan Wangji and incredulous look. “Lan Zhan, we just talked about why I can’t do that.”
“Don’t care. Will never ask for what Wei Ying does not want to give. To me...” Wei Wuxian watched the other man struggle with his words for a minute. “Just having Wei Ying at my side. It is enough.”
Lan Wangji felt his ears burn. He knows he looked foolish and desperate begging for Wei Wuxian’s hand like this but he had to try. If Wei Wuxian insists on his rejection then Lan Wangji will not try again even if it does break his heart.
Wei Wuxian was shocked silent for a long moment before a big grin bloomed on his face and he let out a happy laugh. “Alright, Lan Zhan. I think you may be making a mistake, but okay. I’ll marry you.”
Wen Ruohan starts making trouble earlier than he does in canon, and the older generation manage to contain him. To make sure he doesn’t try to seize power again, he’s ordered to surrender two of his children to Jiang Fengmian and Yu Ziyuan, two trusted cultivators, as hostages. Since he doesn’t care about them, of course Wen Ruohan sends little Wen Qing and Wen Ning to be the hostages. (1/2)
They’re terrified and prickly and they expect best case scenario for Jiang Fengmian to act as cruelly as Wen Ruohan, worst case to be literally prisoners. But then he‘s kind and fatherly, Jiang Yanli and Jiang Cheng want to be friends, and Wei Wuxian is there to whisper to them that it’s okay, it’s not a trick, no one’s going to hurt them. (2/2)
Love the eldritch Lans AU! Here's my contribution. LSZ doesn't know about his new family's true forms. He thinks he's imagining when other children grow extra hands. When LGY eats a whole chicken bones and all. When LQR literally has eyes in the back of his head. One day he wakes early and sees a monster in LWJ's bed. LSZ freaks out, even more when the monster turns into LWJ, most of all when LWJ has too many eyes.
The Lan clan as a whole reluctantly agreed that it was for the best to become more discreet with their true forms inside the Cloud Recesses. Not everyone was happy about it, but no one wanted to frighten Hangung-jun’s adopted son. God only knows what how a young child would react to seeing such things.
Little did they know, A-Yuan was perfectly happy getting cuddles from his uncle Ning. He had been use to seeing half rotten corpses wondering around his home and had never listened when the adults told him Wei-gege’s experiments were too scary for him to see.
Lan Wangji found this out when, in the midst of a nightmare, he woke up little Lan Yuan, who poked his head into his fathers room to see if her was ok. At his little call of “Father?” Lan Wangji startled awake and all sixty-two of his eyes snapped open and focused on the young child looking at him with wide eyes.
Wangji immediately pulled the sheets over his head, still shaking from the dream and horrified of himself. Did A-Yuan see? How would he even begin to explain himself to a child? Will A-Yuan be afraid of him now? Lan Wangji doesn’t think he would be able to survive loosing his son too.
“Father?” He felt little hands tugging at the sheet over his head and got himself under control enough to seal all but two of his eyes closed again. Lan Yuan didn’t hesitate to climb into his bed once the sheets were gone, pouting. “All your eyes are gone, Father. How did you do that?”
“You are...” Lan Wangji swallowed hard, trying not to hope. “not frightened?”
A-Yuan tilted his head at him curiously. “No? Why would I be scared of Father? What happened to all your eyes? Are you like A-Yi?”
“A-Yi?”
Lan Yuan brightened, excited. “My new best friend! He was really hungry after we played today so he did something with his mouth so he could eat a whole apple. I don’t even think he chewed! Do you think you could show me how to do it? Or- Or could you show me how to get a bunch of eyes like you?”
Ok so I know the LWJ kid stealing prompt is really angsty but what if LWJ actually did go around collecting abandoned kids. Both XY and WWX lived on the streets at one point so it probably wouldn’t be too difficult for him to come across some. And then he and WWX would be remembered of WWX’s time on the streets so they would just HAVE to take in any kids they find. So long story short, they both still basically end up with an orphanage.
In the thirteen years following Wei Wuxian’s death, many horrible stories were told about him. Some of those stories were told to children by their parents. Don’t wander the woods without me or the soul of the Yiling Patriarch will find you, they would say. The Yiling Patriarch use to add the bodies of children he had killed to his army, they would warn.
When Wei Wuxian came back, he decided to have fun with it.
“RISE, MY CORPSE ARMY! RISE!”
“Nooo, Papa, its too early!”
“Onward to battle, my slaughtered victims!”
“Papa we’re just going to the market.”
“Hi! Have you met my horde of undead children? I’m hoping to make an army out of them soon.”
