Avery had always been a glutton for punishment, so it should really be no surprise when her new girlfriend started bringing her best friend around Avery’s eyes started to wander.  It was innocent at first-- just stealing glances when she was sure nobody else was looking.  What changed it all was when Avery realized the other was looking back.  From there it was supposed to be just a one time thing: a mistake in the form of a sloppy drunken kiss after a far too crowded house party.  Except that was months ago and they had made a barrage of mistakes in the meantime.  

“I should really go,” she murmured between kisses in the other’s bed.  “I’m supposed to be at my parents house this weekend.  What if she stops by?”

i don't know what was going on at the whitesprngs fissure but my overencumbered ass had to duck in and out of maintenance sheds the whole way through to dodge 1, 2, 3 scorchbeasts. i made it, and had to run into a bus to avoid a deathclaw and a wendigo, both diseased af. they got distracted by all the golfer ghouls and so i scurried inside the hotel and quit for the night.
