MHA underestimating humans (quirkless)

"Oh no... here we go, another mha confession from this negative, mha hating bitch!"

I have for a quite long time been annoyed for how quirkless are portrayed in the series. And the only series that do them justice is the vigilante spin off.

I have a big interest in biology and science, and believe me when I say this, humans are the most athletic species on earth. Yes, there are animals that are physically faster and stronger. However, humans are great with many different physical activities. We can lift, run, swim, climb, jump, punch, kick, throw and tackle. Now tell me, how many animals can do all of this?

Humans are also a species that have a great diversity with body mass and height, which can give each individual their own physical specialties. Like, if a person is lean and has long legs, they might be a pretty great runner. Or, if a person is heavy and stocky built, they might be a pretty great wrestler.

Anyway, let's get back to MHA.

In MHA, quirkless are considered "weaker" because they don't have a quirk. But, to that, I say bullshit! I very much doubt that every single person with a quirk is "stronger" than a quirkless pro wrestler or "faster" than a quirkless pro runner! Because not every quirk is about physical abilities.

I also have been hearing this interesting idea, that people with quirks might have higher durability. But I personally don't agree that everyone of them would have it. I don't think a person with the quirk of... let's say; hands made of paper, would be very durable to sharp objects. A "human" might get a slight cut or a gashing wound from a sharp object. A piece of paper would be cut in half, because it doesn't have the same thickness and layers as a human body.

Now, let's talk about All Might after he lost OFA!

I have noticed that there is this take from us fans and Horikoshi himself, that he's weak or sickly weak. And I'm not sure if I fully agree on it anymore.( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Let's talk about his physicality. He's 220cm(7'3") tall. It's says that his muscle form weighs 255kg(562lbs), realistically his weight would be very similar in his normal form as well. But let us play along. Let's say that he perhaps weighs approximately 90-103kg in his normal form. And the fact that All Might has the ability to flex his muscle like that( muscle form) means that he still have a quite amount of muscle mass. His large height does also build bigger muscles than someone with shorter height but similar build for their size. It's just how physics work. Like how a big tree is heavier than a small tree, even if they have the same girth.

So what is my point with this? Well, my point is that All Might would easily be able to tackle me, a 170cm tall, 67kg woman to the ground. And I'm pretty sure it would be just as easy against a 180cm, 80kg man.

But what about All Might's health. Yes, his health does effect his physical abilities. But I've also read a little about how living with only one lung and no stomach would be like. And the condition is not that bad actually. Yes, he does become breathless faster with only one lung, but he can still run and move without much problem. Like, what we see when he run as an exercise. Living without a stomach isn't much of a hassle neither, All Might mostly just need to think about what he eats, and the menu doesn't really lack protein. About his blood coughing: we're actually never told exactly what causes him to cough blood. It's highly possible that it's caused by something else rather than his lack of a lung or stomach. Could be a something about his only lung?... But, let's just go along with the fact that he coughs up blood if he overworks his body. Can that effect his physicality? obviously yes. But it wouldn't really have an effect on his body strength, only his endurance. I'm quite sure he could punch a bad guy without falling apart.

So where are these action scenes with All Might after he lost OFA? (excluding Iron Might) This is what have been bothering me. All Might would still have the spirit to do knockdowns, no matter his physical disability. This is why I think MHA underrestermate the quirkless (a.k.a real humans).

It would've been awesome if MHA got more into this quirk vs quirkless subject. It would actually have been beneficial for the "prejudice against the quirkless" storyline... that was pushed off.

How MHA boys would confess their love to y/n

Hey heyyyyy, I'm sorry I haven't posted today at all, but seeing how many likes I get just for a couple postes I've created in the past 2 days made me very motivated and happy, I hope my content ain't too boring for you!! Anyway enother piece of Merafan's imagination :)))

Izuku Midoriya Midoriya’s confession would definitely be a mess. He’d overthink it so much that by the time you’re having a casual chat, his brain just short circuits. You’d probably be talking about something totally random when Midoriya suddenly blurted out, "I-I like you!" It’s out before he even realizes it, and there’s a huge pause. He’d start sweating, stammering, and going into overdrive trying to explain himself. You’d definitely experience second-hand embarrassment watching him trip over his words while apologizing a hundred times for being so awkward. Tagline: "The plan? There was no plan. Just chaos, and I like you."

Katsuki Bakugo Bakugo’s confession would be explosive (pun intended). It all starts at Mina’s sleepover, everyone playing 7 Minutes in Heaven—but when the bottle doesn’t land on you, Bakugo literally blows a fuse. He grabs you, picks you up like a sack of potatoes, and storms out of the room, yelling, “You think I’m gonna let some dumbass take you instead of me?!” Once you’re outside, he’d throw you down in front of him, glaring, and mutter something like, "I like you, alright? You better be ready for me!" Tagline: "I’m so mad I’m gonna explode... oh wait, I do like you, idiot."

Kirishima Kirishima is the wholesome, soft guy who goes for a sweet, thoughtful approach. After the UA concert, he shows up at your dorm with a bouquet of sunflowers. He’s all shy but smiles big, handing you the flowers and saying, “I know I’m not the best with words, but I really like you, and I wanted to show you... you’re special.” Tagline: "I may be a manly man, but my heart's all soft for you."

Sero Sero’s confession is a little more slick. He’d write a letter in Spanish and tape it to your locker, a casual “Me encantas” (I like you) scribbled on the front with a playful note, maybe with a winky face or “¡Qué pasa, bonita?” (“What’s up, beautiful?”). Of course, the whole thing would be incredibly casual and smooth, but you’d know it was him being sweet in his own unique way. Tagline: "Sero’s got rizz... and a love letter."

Tenya Iida Iida’s confession would be so proper, it’s almost too much. He invites you to a date with a formal invitation (like, an actual paper one) with fancy writing and maybe even a seal. When you arrive, he’s in a sharp suit, looking like he’s attending a business meeting rather than a casual date. You’d show up in comfy clothes and have an internal crisis over your outfit. He’d take you somewhere classy and speak with exaggerated politeness, finally saying, “I have prepared this dinner for us, Y/N, to express that my admiration for you has blossomed into love.” Tagline: "A formal date, a formal confession."

Shoto Todoroki Todoroki is the more reserved type, so his confession is all about actions over words. While running to escape a villain, he sees you in danger, and in a split-second moment, he grabs you, pulls you to safety, and blurts out, “No... don’t die on me. I love you too much, please.” The vulnerability in his voice will make your heart melt, and you’ll realize this is his way of showing how much he truly cares. Tagline: "No need for words when your heart says everything."

Denki Kaminari Denki’s confession is so cheesy. He’d probably try to hit you with some of his “smooth” pick-up lines—completely ridiculous ones that sound like they came out of a seventh-grader’s notebook. “Yo, Y/N, you must be lightning because you shock me every time I see you!” You’d probably laugh at how corny it is, but honestly, it’d still be endearing, and you can tell he’s genuine (despite the awkwardness). Tagline: "Even if my lines suck, I swear I like you."

Shota Aizawa Aizawa’s confession would be the most subtle, but also the most real. It’s not grand or dramatic—more like an unspoken understanding. One night, while he’s watching you work on your homework, he’d say in his usual monotone voice, “I’m not good at this kind of thing... but I care about you a lot. Don’t make me say it.” He’d be so embarrassed, but you could tell from his actions that he’s being sincere. Tagline: "*Aizawa's version of a confession? Just 'I care about you.'"

Tokoyami Tokoyami’s confession would be oddly cute, with Dark Shadow making the first move. Dark Shadow would shout out something like, “Tokoyami likes you!” while Tokoyami tries to hide his face in embarrassment. The next day, everyone in Class 1-A would know about it before Tokoyami could even get a chance to speak. His awkwardness would be so adorable, and despite Dark Shadow’s bluntness, you’d realize how deep Tokoyami’s feelings go. Tagline: "Dark Shadow spilled the beans... but it was Tokoyami’s heart that did the talking."

Aoyama Aoyama’s confession would be incredibly dramatic but so charming. He’d surprise you with a fancy lunch and feed you a special dish, then, with a flourish, reveal the words “Je t’aime” written in cheese on the plate. He’d probably pose dramatically, saying, “Mon amour, I have made this meal to express the depths of my love for you!” You’d be laughing at how over-the-top it is, but it would be adorable. Tagline: "When Aoyama loves you, it’s as flashy as his cheese writing."

Shoji Shoji’s confession would be low-key, but thoughtful. He’d probably take you somewhere quiet, maybe to the roof of the school, and show you something special—like a beautiful view or a hidden place. As he offers his usual calm advice, he’d slip in, “I don’t always say it, but I care about you. A lot.” Shoji is a man of few words, but the sincerity in his tone would speak volumes. Tagline: "Shoji doesn’t need to shout it, his actions speak louder than words."

Ojiro Ojiro’s confession would be an awkward mess of sincerity. He’d invite you to dinner—nothing fancy, just something simple—and as you’re enjoying your meal, he’d nervously confess, “I... I’ve liked you for a while now. And I’m really glad we could spend this time together.” He’d be blushing like crazy, and you could tell he’s not sure what to do with his hands while he waits for your response. Tagline: "Ojiro’s nervousness is cute, but his feelings are real."

The Villians <33

Tomura Shigaraki Shigaraki would be the king of awkward. He’d try to play it cool, but he’s just... not built for it. The confession would happen over text, probably something like, “I like you... I guess.” You’d be kind of confused at first, but when you say “yes,” and see him in person, the chaos starts. He’d stutter, his hands would twitch like he’s about to destroy everything around him, and you’d just be there laughing at how not cool he looks in person. His tough exterior? Completely shattered. Tagline: "Confessing over text is easy. Saying it in person? Total disaster."

Dabi Dabi’s confession would be subtle but intimate. After spending some time together, stargazing on a quiet night, he’d pull you close when you start to doze off. You’d feel his warmth as he pulls you against his chest, and then, in a soft, almost surprisingly gentle voice, he’d whisper, “You’re mine now, alright?” The next day, you’re officially a couple, and it’s like nothing happened—but the chemistry is undeniable. Tagline: "Stargazing and sweet whispers—Dabi’s version of a confession."

Mr. Compress Mr. Compress would go all out, making sure his confession is an unforgettable spectacle. He’d start with a few magic tricks—disappearing acts, illusions—and then, as the grand finale, he’d make you the star of the show. He’d pull you into a dance, all dramatic, and when the moment feels perfect, he’d lean in, kiss you, and declare, “A magician’s trick may be a lie, but my love for you is real.” Tagline: "A show, a dance, and a kiss—Mr. Compress’s confession is a performance."

Twice Twice’s confession would be an adorable disaster. He’d be all over the place—maybe you two are hanging out, and he just blurts it out, “I like you! Like, really, really like you. So what now?” He’d get so worked up about it that it just turns into a mess of nervous rambling, but his sincerity would be clear. He’d be fidgeting, maybe even hiding his face, but you'd know it was from the heart. Tagline: "Twice’s love is chaotic, but it’s always true."

Spinner Spinner’s confession would be... honestly, not happening. He’s so awkward, and honestly, he’s just kind of a mess with relationships.

Another MHA Confession

The over sexualization of Mirko by the author and fans made me “dislike” her.

Before we raise the pitch forks, let me be frank and tell you: that I don’t find sexual characters to be problematic on its own. A character looking hot or displaying sexiness is not a problem.

I have an issue when it becomes the only reason for why they were made or the only reason for their popularity.

For the first time, when I saw her fighting the Nomus, I thought she was cool and I loved that she kicked ass! I’m just a big a sucker for tough, girl boss female characters. (Fun fact: one of my biggest girl crushes is Ellen Ripley).

But, as more I learned about the reason for her design and all the sexualizing fanart and fans mostly commenting about her appearance, It only made me sour. It made me enjoy her a lot less…

To be honest, I don’t really think ‘dislike’ is the right word for how I feel about Mirko. Because it’s a word that I find to be too personal for her character as a whole. But it is the only word I could think of.

My All Might Hot Take!

I don’t like Iron Might… (つ≧﹏≦)

I know, I know! I have noticed that he’s very popular within the All Might fanbase on Tumblr. I am sorry that I’m disappointing you all.

It’s just that, I didn’t enjoy the fight. It kind of made me upset when I read it. Made me anxious seeing him basically being tortured by AFO like that. I also didn’t like it because it ruined the character development I wanted for him.

I wanted All Might to find acceptance for his retirement. I also wanted him to realize that helping people isn’t about fighting villains: Instead is about being available for people. Like: a fireman, a paramedic or a volunteer, what they are doing are just as heroic as what a pro hero is doing. I actually really liked that he was working behind the scene, as a director, strategist and a supporter for the UA students during or before battle. Because that is just as important as being the pro hero on the battlefield.

But no… That development wasn’t good enough for Horikoshi :( Instead he should sel*-harm and plan suic*d, because that’s the only way to be a hero! And then All Might got the glint in his eyes back. Because risking our lives is the way to go to feel happiness again…

Sorry y’all! I just can’t find peace with this conclusion for All Might ( ◞‸◟ )

I have however in the past two months eased up about the Iron Might suit.

Which means that I will use it for All Might in my oc: Soichi’s story. But it won’t be used the same way as how canon MHA did. Instead, he will use it to help people on the street. Realizing that he can be heroic in a safer way, and that it feels just as rewarding as fighting villains (perhaps even more). In that way he gets the glint in his eyes again (;ω;)

One last thing: I’m not judging anyone for liking Iron Might or All Might’s conclusion in the canon story. We all have our own different opinions and I’m all for it!~

Here you go! My very critical opinions on MHA characters o(_ _;o)

I don't really hate any character. But I'm more critical to some than others. Often, if I really like a character but still very critical to them, it indicates that I really care for the character and will take their cons really seriously.

Like All Might: I love him a lot! but I'm still very salty with a lot of ways he's written (or not written). Because I really emotionally care for his character. I mean, if I knew All Might in real life, we would probably stop being friends because I would worry about him too much ｡ﾟ( ﾟஇ‸இﾟ)ﾟ｡ (I'm autistic okay, I know I'm weird for getting emotionally attached to a fictional character. But I can't help it, let me be weird in peace!)

Thoughs on Touya/Dabi MHA?

Dabi is definitely one of the best written characters in the series. If not maybe the best(?)

He has a well established backstory. I find it compelling that it involves the theme around childhood development through parenting. How it has a lifetime impact on the child. I also like that his backstory is connected to his goals as an adult. And that his unhinged personality and design checks so well with the connection to his backstory.

I like that he exposed Endeavor. Because it extends the plot with the flaws and hypocrisy in heroes. Unfortunately, Endeavor wasn't really held accountable by the society, only by his own guilt.

However, there is one thing I hate about Dabi's story, and that is: How he was handled by the ending. How the so called "good" side of the law trapped him in a machine and forced him to stay alive. I would never consider that justice, only barbaric. They should've just let him die in the battlefield. He was beaten and burned alive, isn't that enough as a "punishment"? I don't understand the point of keeping him alive when he's about to die anyway. I actually don't understand Horikoshi's point with this? Was it supposed to show hypocrisy? That the good side is as horrible as the bad side? Why was there no reaction from his family or the society? It is NOT a concluding ending at all for Dabi. I would totally get it if he would hate his family even more after this, because he should. They didn't even care that he basically was being tortured to be kept alive. I don't even want to blame the Todorokis, because it was Horikoshi that wrote them this dumb. Because it doesn't make any sense! They gathered together as a family to stop Dabi, they sacrificed themselves to stop him. But suddenly after the war they stopped caring? Just...WHAT?!

I also want to share that I think that his death by burning himself would've made a better ending for him. It would have been a bigger impact on how deeply corrupted he was by self-harming himself to death to prove a point, and for how stuck he was in the past. To add to that, I'd like to see it have an actual affect on the Todorokis. Showing that losing a family member like that is hurtful. Even if he was a villain, he was once part of the family and what happened was a tragedy.

Conclusion: I think Dabi is a very well written character, I like that his story and character makes sense. But I think he deserves a better established ending.
