What I love about some BL series is that bisexual characters just exist, without their feelings or orientation being invalidated. They feel, they love, and they simply live their lives. Mhok, Cher, Jae-young, Aoki, Fang, and Peach - just to name a few of my favorites - make me, as a fellow bisexual, really happy. Much love to bisexual men. I see you and I love you. When Day was like "would you have lied to me if I wasn't blind?" I was like yeah I think he would have.
Going abroad is great to build a career but like, does Mhok want that. He's financially stable + has enough time to spend with his close ones. Our guy is straightforward, those are the things he wants and close ones has repeatedly been shown to be higher on the priority list than financial stability.
Mhok spent a year reeling from the sudden and unexpected death of one of his two (2!) family members, and the other one on the other side of prison bars — why on earth would Mhok want to cut into his close ones time just so he can do more work??
Like if it was still just Mhok and Phojai against the world would it not be in character for him to lie about getting a job offer if taking it meant that he would be posted far away???
Mhok does worry about Day in a maladaptive way but he's kept that to himself because he knows Day doesn't like feeling like he's being pitied, but also because it seems perfectly rational to him that he must be responsible for all of his close ones wellbeing. Day is his boyfriend so of course he gets the most focus. It's not as if Mhok has a large social circle to spread his concern over.
Not Mhok going to the places he usually takes his lover to when they're feeling sad to try and cheer himself up 😭
