Finally finished reading Martyr and I have....thoughts.
A) Unitology is most definitely 100% just Marker Dementia lite, meaning Isaac was already exposed to it from when he was a child.
B) Altman is partially immune. Not fully, but partially. Which proves that partial immunity is very much possible.
C) how in the fuck does anything happen after that? Markoff and Stevens are definitely talking about creating more Markers, though it is entirely possible that they weren't able to replicate like Altman because they didn't have the blueprints. Otherwise I have no fucking idea how Dead Space could have happened otherwise.
D) Isaac and Altman have a lot of parrels, though it should be noted that unlike Isaac, Altman never really got the Painting the walls with your own bodily fluids part of it. Also it seems like Hallucinations can be the little part of your brain screaming at you that this is fucking wrong, and be the Marker’s agenda at the same time.
