Michael Longcor Pillar of Hell
Michael Longcor - The Only Son
Tribes of The Working Draft - Michael "Moonwolf" Longcor
Been thinking about this lately in light of some recent politics. (Greenland? Again?) But it's also nearly Christmas, so I'm going to cling to the happy-making potential of Michael Longcor rather than thinking about that too deeply.
It occurs to me that some of you have never heard of Michael Longcor, Moonwulf of SCA fame. That’s a gap in your education that must be rectified.
Some other favorites:
Bob’s Dog Obedience and Taxidermy Shop
If I Could Be a Flying Monkey
Chain-Mail Mama
"Pillar of Hell,” “Danegeld” and “A Smuggler’s Song” (fave!) are wonderful, too, and though I’m hesitant to link since the only recordings I can find are bootlegged versions of his CD’s rather than live performances, said CD’s seem to be completely out of print these days. Youtube won’t disappoint if you’re so inclined.
Zeddy sent me this, you all need to listen to it. ALL OF MY FOLLOWERS.
I keep forgetting to post this here - Michael Longcor is a singer/songwriter who specializes in historical AND fantasy, and he has quite the range of pirate/seafaring songs.
If you're NOT feeling bloodthirsty and ready to pillage after this song... Cora took yer heart, mate, that's all I can say.
Michael Longcor's Pennsic War IV, which would have been in about 1972. Pennsic is kind of an epic event, from what I've heard, and I so want to go one day.
