I abused my Preferential Killing quest to take a look at the quests for every single one of Astalor's Prey targets, for lore reasons. I always get distracted with what he says aloud (this is not my fault!), which is always different than the quest text itself. And the quest text is often more revealing about him as a person.
So if you were looking for little treats to sprinkle into your next Astalor fic, maybe these can help:
Dislikes: stupid people, the outdoors, people who attack (too many) innocents/acquaintances, Death Knights, when enemies have a seemingly unbeatable power (that's his job), overly gory murder (of elves - memento mori perhaps), unreasonable foes, being hunted by an assassin (alone - he makes you defend him), beings he cannot look in the eye, water, drowning, the Void, curiosity, irredeemable research methods (indiscriminate killing), too many ambitious loners in Quel'thalas (he's the one doing things correctly, obviously).
Likes: when people are gushing with anguish, the city of Silvermoon, elven forces generally, beating enemies who act unstoppable, gardening, Farstriders (he keeps mentioning when they've been killed, and he regrets having to hunt one in particular), you (he warns you to be careful when Farstriders have already been murdered, and when you might get recycled into a pocket watch), ambition, talent, rumors.
Further thoughts:
Is he the one offering Lost Theldrin aid? Or it is just "aid"? Losing himself into an anguish crystal drop by drop might not be preferable to being hunted down and ended. But I bet Astalor doesn't think of it like that.
The Farstriders are getting wrecked by some of these guys. They're specifically named as dying in large numbers to a couple, in horrible ways. Halduron should be recruiting as hard as Rommath is! "Thin their numbers" shouldn't go both ways like this.
Astalor mentions having scouts. Unclear if they're his own dedicated scouts, or if he has lured in spies, perhaps among the Farstriders - which would account for him knowing of so many instances when they've fallen to these enemies. He doesn't like going outside, but these folks work outside all the time and are also dedicated to protecting Quel'thalas and its people. Why not employ them in a more direct manner? There are Farstriders all throughout the city, even when they're off-duty. Maybe some of them swing by the Murder Row Sanctum, or just pass messages. It's simply efficient to employ those comfortable in areas he isn't, after all, if he's going to cover all his bases in the defense of Silvermoon.
I like this headcanon. Seems reasonable.
If I were to expand into pure speculation, I'd be inclined to think that when Astalor called Ranger Swiftglade "one of our own," he meant it in the way that this had been one of his killers, who has lost himself to the hunt and become a danger himself. Much like some of the effects from Astalor's early experimentation with anguish gems and the like, anguish may simply have overtaken this Farstrider in particular, when all he intended to do was help keep Quel'thalas safe. Too bad we can't loot his corpse for anguish gems!
Enjoy these Astalor quest details however you like. He's a fascinating, complicated character, and I'm extremely fond of his horrible self.
I feel like Midnight would be very much shy and awkward in a relationship at first because he's wholly unexperienced in this type of thing, but he'd slowly open up as time goes on.
His love language is showing you he cares in small acts of service. Meaning, he'd show you his love for you way more often than telling you.
He's terrible at communication at first, though. So if there's something wrong, don't expect him to come to you. You'll probably spend a lot of time trying to pick his brain.

You filled the bath with all kinds of path products that were good for the skin and good for muscles, knowing these would help with relaxing. You started undressing and so did Jin, the both of you slowly got in the bath and leaned against each other.

“Welcome home love.” You said with a smile. “Hi, thank you.” She said and quickly pecked your lips, walking straight into the bathroom. You couldn’t blame her, she just came back from work.
You got bored while Toga was showering so you decided, being the good partner you are, that it was time to clean up her knives and equipment for her next mission, knowing how much Toga hated doing that.

Her hair being in a mess and still in her hero suit, she didn’t even bother to change at the agency.
You’d welcome her and say she looks tired and like she needs a rest.

You guys would laugh it off, she kept making playfull remarks here and there.
You shook it off and told her you’d get a nice bath ready for her while she got out of her hero suit.
You took care off her nicely and it turned out her words from earlier weren’t true because she was fast asleep on your lap.
You were sitting on the couch, looking at the ceiling and humming a song as the door opened. Your eyes moved from the ceiling, towards the door, smiling as you saw your wife walk trough the door.
“Welcome home love.” You told her. “Thank you love.” She said and walked over to you, grabbing your face and pecking your lips. Nemuri still was wearing her hero suit and you raised your brow, not knowing she didn’t bother to get changed at the agency because she was tired.
“You look tired love, you should get your rest.” You mumbled against her lips. “I might be tired, but I’m never too tired to spend time with you.” She answered, making the both of you laugh, she would make remarks like these the whole time as you convinced her to take a bath, so she could rest a bit at least.
Nemuri was getting undressed in your shared room while you got the bath all nice and ready. Getting it to the right temperature and making sure to add the bath products she liked.
Once she got in the bath, you took care of her nicely, massaging her shoulders and making sure to wash her hair nicely and massaging her scalp as well. After she got changed into comfortable clothes, she laid down on your lap, falling asleep not long after, making you laugh because of her words from earlier.

Essentially, she will break into homes with abusive or neglectful parents, use her quirk to make the child fall asleep and gently take them away from the home. (Maybe killing the parents to.)
She isn't much for killing random civilians. She only kills those who she knows are cruel, especially those who are cruel to children.
Though she'd have no hesitation hurting heroes like Endeavour. Someone so despicable hurting a child, her student to be specific, doesn't deserve life.
Her hero costume changes from something overly sexual to something more warm. It would still be some thin clothing but more of a motherly look then before.
Uh, I kinda want to know which Magic Knight Squads from Black Clover you'd think different characters from My Hero would be in. You can pick whichever characters you want by I'm curious about the some of the main students from 1-A and maybe like Aizawa, Mic, and Midnight, and the top 5 pro heroes. Honestly whoever you want and only if you're comfortable with the idea in the first place. (I'm rambling)
A/N: Cindy!! This is such a good idea and I had a lot of fun with it :) I decided to go with Endeavor, Midnight, Hawks, Aizawa, Present Mic, Midoriya, Bakugo and Todoroki
BNHA Characters and the Magic Knight Squads I think they'd be in
Endeavor:
Crimson Lion Kings for sure
He has an intense demeanor about him coupled with a fire quirk so it’s kind of a no brainer
Multiple squads wanted him for his sheer power, but he went with tradition and picked the Crimson Lion Kings
I haven’t taken the time to really sit down and study his character so I don’t have much else to say!
Hawks:
Golden Dawn
Hawks is ambitious even though it can be hard to see through his laid-back facade
Several squads wanted him, but he chose Golden Dawn
His central goal is to create a world where heroes (Magic Knights in this case) have too much time on their hands, and what better way to do that than to be in the most elite squad?
Midnight:
Coral Peacocks
At first I wasn’t sure where to put her, but after some thinking I think her powers would fit in well with Dorothy’s powers
If I placed her in the Black Clover universe, I’d say she would be a witch for sure
Aizawa:
I was very iffy on where to put him but I think I’d have to go with either the Green Praying Mantises or the Purple Orcas
Aizawa wants to stay out of the spotlight as much as possible so that would mean he wouldn’t choose the “best” squad, nor the “worst” one
He would probably choose an average squad where he could do good while also maintaining some semblance of privacy
Present Mic:
Aqua Deer
I don’t have an in depth grasp of his character, but I feel like he’s a fairly eccentric person and I feel like that fits the Aqua Deer vibe
Midoriya:
Black Bulls
Especially if we’re talking about early stage Midoriya where his quirk was self-destructive
The other squads most likely wouldn’t want him, but similarly to Asta, Yami would give him a chance
Todoroki:
Black Bulls
The other squads wanted him of course, he has a good grasp of his quirk and comes from a notable family
Was probably expected to join the Crimson Lion Kings due to his father being a part of them
But he said “screw you dad” and went with the option that would make Endeavor the most upset
Found family trope for sure!!!!
Bakugo:
Black Bulls
I feel like the Crimson Lion Kings would appreciate his spirited nature and want him as well, but somehow he ended up with the Black Bulls
I don’t think he would really choose this option himself? He would likely strive for the Golden Dawn, but if they didn’t want him he would go with “Whichever captain looks the strongest”
I can already see Vanessa and Charmy wearing him down until his personality becomes less prickly
