.ᐟ AUTHORS NOTE: holy shit i’m actually cranking out requests and shit, hope you guys enjoy this one!!
Mihawk wasn’t the type of man to get upset, at least because you can’t see it. There were times you could feel it, just in the way that his presence seemed tense, causing you to feel uneasy, and at times, you would feel sweaty just being next to him, with worries that even if you dared take a breath of air, he would snap at you. Well, not that he would ever, he had a certain thing with you that he would never snap at you, and if he did, it was immediately stopped by himself as he apologized to you immediately.
But to others? He didn’t give anyone else the chance of his soft side, so when he found out that someone had hurt you and taken you from him? It was almost crazy how the sky got dark and the rain began to pour down, thundering and lightning striking closely nearby to the place that these random lowlife pirates had taken you. You knew, your husband was on his way with the way that the air had shifted, and it almost became suffocating. You sat with your arms chained behind you on your knees in a cage in this stupid little dungeon. You had tried to warn them that you wouldn’t be here long, and they wouldn’t get anything from this. They didn’t believe you, laughing in your face and throwing you into the dungeon.
Who was laughing now? You. They were frantically running around their base trying to prepare for the arrival of your husband, who had stormed onto the island angrily asking people who these pirates were and where they were keeping you. When he arrived, he wasted no time taking them all out the instant he set foot inside their base. He didn’t use Yoru on these pirates, opting to use Kogatana, which he would still wipe them out in the same amount of time it would take for him to take out an entire Marine ship. When he found you, he would unlock the door to your dungeon, walking over and undoing the chains around your wrist and kissing them softly because they were red and hurt from how tightly the pirates had put the chains on.
“How dare they treat such a perfect person with such a lack of care?” He would whisper against your wrist before he moved to pick you up, carrying you all the rest of the way back to his ship and heading home to his castle.
Shanks, on the other hand, you touch what’s his? He didn’t waste a second grabbing you back and showing everyone exactly what was his. He likes to show you off and let people know that he is the one who pleases you at night and is the only one to whom you give even an ounce of your attention. (At least in his eyes, he’s the only one who deserves it.)
When he found out some lowlife had taken you to hold you hostage, cause they thought they could keep you to bargain with Shanks and or beat Shanks? He was surprisingly calm. He showed up at their base with his usual smirk on his face, but it didn’t quite meet his eyes. His hand was gripped tightly around his sword as he followed the orders that he was the only person who was allowed to go inside; none of the rest of the crew was allowed to come in, so it would be a fair 1v1 against Shanks and this random. It didn’t end up being a fair fight, Shanks knocking down the other guy instantly and then leaving him to bleed out on the floor..
When backups came, he would kill them without even glancing in their direction, his eyes directed at you only faltering when one almost got him nicking his cheek slightly, causing him to chuckle and turn his focus onto this person who somehow managed to slip past him and draw a bit of blood. He would return the favour to the stranger, except more so in the fact that he just… cut their face in half. No mercy for the people who mess with his person. As he finished them off, he would finally come to you, removing the ropes and picking you up instantly, holding you tightly in his arm.
“You are not allowed to go anywhere without me.” He says gruffly against your neck, before he moves to pull back and let his eyes wash over your body to see if they have done any bodily harm to you. When he thought you were good, he would carry you back to the ship. You now can’t go anywhere without him, not even to the bathroom.

.ᐟ AUTHORS NOTE: I hope yall all enjoy this, there will be a part three but i might have to make yall wait for it so i can get through some older requests that im still behind on then once im done i’ll be able to write more random things i feel like writing. here is part one!
Law had been trying to deny his feelings but every time he’d close his eyes it was just.. you. He hated it and he knew at some point he was going to need to confront his feelings, to face you and look at you after almost two weeks of avoiding you. He never realized how important you were in his day-to-day life, the times you’d bring him coffee to wake him up as well as bring him small snacks throughout the day. He wasn’t sure why he felt so strongly about the situation, especially since he was the one who told you to shut up and pushed you away. He would grumble something as he brought his hands up to his head, leaning against his hands as his elbows rested on the table. He was trying to figure out how to talk to you, to bring it all up, and to take back what he said. To tell you that he wanted to talk, to bother him, to annoy him. All of the above.
Finally, he caved. Making his way around the submarine glancing into every room to try and find your face, to hear your voice, to see you again. He finally would make his way to the lounge area, finding you sitting there reading a book that he knew he had read before and you had caught home reading it. It made him grow nervous, the realization that you probably also continued to think about him and probably more than he thought about you made this all more nerve-wracking. It was stupid, he felt like a dumb teenage boy going to confess his feelings to his first-ever crush. But- He wasn’t going to confess his feelings! … Right? At this point, there was a blur between what he was going to do in the current moment and his body started to move on its own as he walked over to you looking down at you for a moment before he cleared his throat.
Flinching you snapped up to look up from your book, staring up at him as your eyes scanned his face and tried to figure out what even was happening in the current moment. With the way that he held his hat over his eyes and tilted his head to look away from you, his body language was strange and unusual. After a moment of staring at him in shock you clicked back to reality and shut the book moving to stand up, “I’m sorry, was I in the way?” You ask him as you slightly bow your head down to him and keep your eyes to the ground, worried you had done something else wrong and he was here to get onto you.
He hated the fact that his words had caused you to believe that just being even a bit in his area meant that you were in his way, he almost reached out but he quickly remembered that he didn’t want to open up the chance of physical contact. “No, I wanted to talk to you.” He said in a flat voice, his brows furrowed as he stared down at the wall next to him that was decorated with a bookshelf that was filled to the brim with different types of books. “I wanted to apologize for telling you to shut up and pushing you away like that…” He grumbled as he had a heavy frown on his face his eyes trying to distract himself by reading the different titles of the books.
You stared up at him in shock, was he… apologizing??? You weren’t sure how to react, especially since you weren’t sure you’d ever seen your captain apologize even if he was wrong - he was stubborn in that sense. You took a deep breath and then swallowed thickly, “It’s… okay.” You whispered out, you didn’t mean for your voice to sound so quiet, and silently swore under your breath for how weak your voice even sounded. You noticed how he didn’t even look toward you but you didn’t notice how his whole body tensed up, you slowly lowered your head to look at the ground in defeat. “I thought about how I had acted previously and it was too much, especially between a Captain and his Crew.” You spoke up, wanting to say what you needed before anything.
He snapped to turn to look at you, being greeted with the top of your head pointed in his direction. His eyes widened and he paused as he stared down at you before he took a sharp inhale, reaching over to grab your shoulder causing you to look up at him. “I didn’t mind it.” He admits, that his expression was stern yet his voice almost seemed to falter at the admission and he could feel his ears beginning to heat up when you made eye contact with him staring up at him with those… eyes. He quickly retracted his hand and subconsciously wiped his hand off against his shirt and then dropped it down to the side of his body, you didn’t take the act as offense as you knew your captain's feelings on physicality, and him even trying to touch you made you feel something.
“Thank you.” You whispered back out to him, your eyes scanning his face and glancing at the pink that had decorated his ear almost giggling before holding it back and swallowing it thickly. You watched as he turned to look away again, his eyes scanning the different books but wasn’t paying attention to what they said, and seemed like he was trying to figure out the words he wanted to say to you. “I wouldn’t mind if you went back to… acting how you did.” He said in almost a whisper, your eyes stared up at the side of his face admiring his jawline and then hair that decorated up to his hair and you felt your whole body heat up by just how attractive your captain truly was. “Yes, Captain.” You respond without a thought before tensing up and looking up to see if what you had said was.. bad timing. He didn’t seem bothered.
“Good.” That was all he said before he suddenly turned around and walked off, leaving you to sit there and process the whole interaction before you started to do a small dance and squeal a little bit. You finally got your spot back to annoying your Captain and he liked you being there, you were thrilled while Law sat in his office with his head in his hands and his face best red from embarrassment at his actions and words. It would take him a while but, he’d get used to you being around. Came to enjoy it and missed it whenever you were busy or gone, often trying to go out of his way to check up on you if you haven’t been around for a long time. The crew didn’t notice at first until maybe a week or two later, they were happy the uneasiness was gone now but there was another issue…. the way that their captain was acting with you was foreign.

Crocodile
He wasn’t thrilled to learn that you had brought home a pet, specifically a lizard, and found it mildly insulting.
Did you get a lizard? A pet? And brought it to life along with you in your home.
He forces you to keep it in a separate room away from everything. He does not want to know it exists, and when you bring it out, he becomes all pouty.
“I am not sure why you are so adamant about keeping that thing.” He grumbled, staring down at the newspaper, his glasses sitting on the edge of his nose before he looked up at you with furrowed brows. “At least this one gives me attention instead of reading that damned newspaper.” You tell him with a bit of attitude, moving to pick the lizard up, setting it onto your shoulder, and walking to the kitchen. He glared at the lizard the whole time, but he continued to read his newspaper, swearing under his breath.
Sometimes he thinks about getting rid of the lizard without you knowing, selling him for a scam to earn more money than he should be.
He doesn't know when he walks past the room where you sit, whispering to the lizard and placing little kisses against its head.
He realized how endearing it was, seeing you so gentle with a creature smaller than you. The idea that you are completely different from him, how you treat things smaller so tenderly, while he would crush something like that without a second thought.
He would approach you in the room where you kept the reptile, being cautious not to let the thing slip out and being blamed because it was a tiny creature that truthfully at any point escaped the room. He was surprised it hadn’t yet. He studied the room taking it all in for a moment before he finally spotted you on the floor with limbs spread out in a starfish pose, he chuckled at first before momentarily worrying you were dead stepping closer only stopping when he noticed you peek an eye open. “You like that thing more than me?” You instantly sit up with furrowed brows, “What happened to hello?” You bite back.
You have to then reassure him and give him more time of your attention, he had silently grown more jealous and resentful over the creature.
After a while of all of this back and forth you finally forced him to tell you the truth, in which he admitted he hated that you gave the creature more attention so you worked out a schedule that made the reptile have less time with you unless you said it was necessary (He still followed you even then.)
Doflamingo
He honestly didn’t care, You got a new pet? Fine. Just don’t expect him to do anything for that piece of meat.
You got a bird, he thought it was stupid that you got a bird when he was right there.
“You talk to that bird more than you talk to me.” He pointed out as he walked over uncaring for the safety of the bird he grabbed it and moved to push it back into the cage, slamming the door shut and making the hook go back on so the bird couldn’t get out before he walked over to you grabbing your waist pulling you toward him and licking his long-strange tongue over your face before finding your tongue and shoving it down. “Maybe I should claim this tongue as mine so only I can hear you talk.” He growled against your lips.
He would make more of these empty threats to you and eventually, you learned to only be around the bird when he was the busiest, hoping he would notice. He did.
He would start forcing you to follow him around every time he got busy, unless it was dangerous then he’d lock you away in your shared room.
You soon found a way to sneak around and feed the bird and give it time to play, making sure DoFlamingo never found out and you kept a good record of that for almost a solid month!
Then someone snitched.
He came storming into your shared room late one night, he had been working a bit late so you had gone to bed without him - which only pissed him off even more. He slammed the door open and under his glasses, there was a prominent glare coming from him, “You dare break my rules and go around my back?” He quips standing over and grabbing your neck to lift you from her causing you to yelp in surprise, “I should lock you in a cellar.” He growled and since you were still half asleep you couldn’t think straight so, stupidly you responded with “Over a bird? Doffy, grow up.”
He kept you in the cellar for a month and a half, then when the bird died soon after he got someone to get rid of only keeping a feather to taunt you. Often using it to bribe you or upset you when you did something to piss him off.
Garp
You got a bulldog that looked extremely close to him, so that’s why you got it. It had the same angry expression on its face as Garp.
He didn’t understood why you needed a dog so he asked and you explained for protection, which only just offended him and slightly upset him.
But he ends up loving the dog a lot more than you ever think you could, giving the dog bones on his way out and bringing home things for JUST the dog. You grew a bit jealous over it before you realized it was just unnaturally sweet for him.
“I’m home!” He announced to your nice little cottage hidden from pirates and any other sort of dangerous things that could lurk near you, you made your way to the front door only to see you had been beaten by your dog by a mere minute and you could’ve sworn that the dog was side-eyeing you with a smug smirk on its face. You pouted and walked over giving Garp a quick peck hoping he’d give you the same attention as the dog but he didn’t, so you turned away upset.
This continued for weeks, so much so that slowly over those weeks you stopped greeting him at the front door. You stopped giving him a peck goodbye and you barely even spoke to him before bed, whispering a simple goodnight love you.
He caught on instantly since the first time he saw you pouting in the kitchen while cleaning the same spot on a frying pan for about five minutes.
One day he came home and was greet with the dog again, only giving it an ounce of his attention before he made his way toward your shared room finding you there in bed reading a book - you didn’t dare look up.
“I brought you flowers.” His gruff voice broke the silence, your eyes immediately darting up in surprise to see the just torn-out-of-the-ground flowers and a small box in his other hand. You were shocked, shocked that he knew you were still a real person and very much living in the same house as him and his dog. “It’s not much but I think you deserve it.” He nods to you before walking over gently playing the flowers to the side and handing you the box.
It was a ring, a promise one. A good one at that, you cried and hugged him before you spent the rest of the night cuddled up to Garp while the dog? It had been locked outside of the room because Garp didn’t want to make the attention on you disappear for even a second.

You thought you knew better.
Knew better than to catch feelings for you, Captain. But when you started training, you couldn't help how your eyes would linger a bit longer on the exposed piece of flesh that his coat did no justice in hiding. Occasionally, you would get caught by the other marines as you drooled over the way there was a perfect V-line that pointed right down to his crotch, licking your lips as you began to imagine what he had hidden underneath his pants and belt. You have to snap yourself back to reality when someone points out the small dribble on the corner of your lips, and you get back to training, sweat dripping down your forehead, and your uniform practically sticking to you. You never noticed that he caught you, but never made it obvious. He would see you drooling over him, and it would cause him to stare at you as soon as you looked away. He'd watch how your muscles would flex when you lifted certain things and how your brows pinched together in concentration.
He hated the fact he was so oddly attracted to you… no. No, he wasn’t. He quickly diverted his attention away and forced himself to look away as he moved to go off and talk to a different Marine, staring down at them. One thing he always seemed to notice about you was that out of everyone, you met his gaze, stared at him without even an ounce of fear. He felt his eye twitch and he immediately became irritated with the smaller marine below him, before he moved to dismiss them and walked off upset his boots thumping loudly through the hallways as he made his way toward the office, hoping that maybe in the confinements of his own space he would stop thinking about you. You were like a parasite in his mind that one day just slid into one ear while he was asleep, nestled up, and hasn’t left since. He had half a mind to just go to the nurse and check to see if there was a tiny version of you with a bunch of legs in his ear, just to get it pulled out and squashed.
In the middle of his fantasizing, he hadn’t noticed the small knock. The next one, and then how the knock got louder which knocked him out of his mind causing him to snap up and look at his door with pinched brows before he quickly moved to set his two cigars into his mouth lighting them and grunting for whoever had scared him out of his dream world could be on the other side of the door. When you walked through the door, his facial expression almost softened before he caught himself and cleared his throat. “Why are you here?” He asked you gruffly, “Report, Sir.” Your eyes locked with his as you stepped closer to the desk, holding a file up, gently shaking it to make sure he saw you were telling the truth. He stared at you for a moment before he huffed out and nodded, reaching out his hand for you to place the files into his hand, then you, for whatever reason, let your fingers brush against his fingers. It felt electric, he could swear you had some secret powers.
“Thank you.” He says, quickly pulling his hand away immediately and throwing the files off to the side before looking down at his desk to stare at something other than you. Now that you were here, the thoughts of you only made things worse. Now you were in the same room as a taunt, trying to make him go insane, and wanted to grab you by the neck, slamming you down on his desk, and his tongue down your throat. He was broken from his thoughts once again by you clearing your throat, “I saw you suddenly leave our training, were we that bad?” You ask him, tilting your head to the side as you let your eyes wash over his face. “No.” He responded quickly again, a small hiss escaping his lips for being almost too eager to shut down your degrading thoughts, “I just had work to get to.” He grunted out, motioning to the page in front of him. You looked down at the paper he was motioning to when you noticed the familiar torn and tarnished paper. Reaching over, you grabbed the bounty and pulled it from the stack.
He snapped to look up at you, fighting the urge to scold you and yank the bounty back. “You seriously still obsessed with this kid?” You ask him, looking at the picture of Luffy’s bounty. He still had his first one, with the goofy smile and hand in the camera’s way. He huffed at you, “He’s a problem, you should know that.” He tells you with a firm voice that causes you to snap up and look at him, staring for a moment before you just nod to him, “Right.” You hummed out in response before dropping the paper onto his desk again, “Well, duty calls.” You nod your head to him, then do a quick salute before you turn around to walk out of his office. As you turned, you didn’t catch the way that his mouth opened, and his cigar almost fell from his mouth before he quickly shut it to catch it. Leaving the room, and your mark in Smokers mind.
You noticed how he avoided you every time you were out training, and when he happened to be walking through the yard, he would avoid you in any way he could. If it were not to look at you or even walk in your direction, taking the long, annoying way around the other marines. He was everywhere you weren’t as long as he could be. You were confused. Why did he suddenly decide that, now, of all the times you’ve been a marine and working under his gaze, he decided to start avoiding you? At first, you just chose to ignore it, to move on with your life and continue with your normal duties as a marine. But then it became worse, you would try to give him reports right when he was there, but he’d shove Tashigi in front of him to deal with it. Even she seemed confused. The first time it happened, she just blinked at you in confusion, moving to turn around and ask Smoker what was wrong, but he had already begun to walk off.
You blinked, watching him take a moment to register that he had just so bluntly avoided you. It irked you, no not just irked you and pissed you off a little. So, being fed up with him avoiding you as if you had some sort of plague or sickness that could affect him, you followed after him. Your footsteps were almost as loud as his were with the boots that he was wearing. You moved to follow after him, and when he got to the office, trying to shut the door, you immediately shoved your foot into the door, letting out a hiss of pain. He snapped to look back at who was stopping his door and trying to keep him from his own space, before he looked up to see your face. He paused as he met your gaze, “You’re avoiding me.” You tell him, slipping your hand through the crack of the door and pushing against his much larger frame, which he did attempt to push back at first before caving, letting you in.
“I was not.” He tells you with a flat expression, “You very clearly were, I mean, you shoved Tashigi in front of you just so you could sneak away.” You tell him, crossing your arms as you stepped into his office, “Why? Did I do something wrong?” You ask him in your voice, lowering slightly and a small pout on your face, which causes him to tense up, his jaw tensing and quickly untensing as he lets out a deep breath. “You are just too distracting.” He tells you as if it were a normal thing to tell someone, which it wasn't, and it caused you to blink in shock and confusion. “Dis..tracting?” You mumbled out, watching him. “I’m a distraction?” You repeat his comment about you back to him to make sure you even heard him correctly. “Yes.” He responded, turning around, which was a dumb decision on his part cause he got a perfect view of his pink-tinted ears.
You would step closer to him, your hand reaching up without even thinking about what you were doing to reach up and run your finger along his ear, “I’ve never seen you flustered.” You admitted before realizing what you had just said and done, immediately pulling back, holding your hand in front of your chest with wide eyes, and feeling your cheeks heat up. He froze and turned to look at you with pinched brows, his eyes tracing your face before he shifted to step toward you. “It’s because of you.” He tells you with furrowed brows, “You are… interesting, and looking at you distracts me because then all I think about is you.” He explains to you, brushing his knuckles against your cheek, feeling the heat emitting from it.
You weren’t sharing where you got the confidence to do this, but you did, immediately moving to lean forward and grab the collar of his coat, pulling him toward you and kissing him hungrily. He would tense up, not giving in to the kiss before he moved to kiss you back, his hands reaching up to cup either side of your neck, holding you there as if he was worried you’d try to pull away from him. You would pull away to take a moment and catch your breath, “I have wanted to do this for so long.” He whispered to you, his lips brushing against yours. “Me too.” You whispered out to him and let your eyes wash over his face, admiring every bit of his face to engrave it into your memory. “Can we keep kissing?” You ask him with your eyes, looking up to meet his gaze, noticing how blown out his pupils were staring down at you. He hummed out, giving you only that a response before kissing you hungrily, pulling you toward him, and grabbing your hips, pulling you flush against him.
The two of you stumble around, moving toward his desk, your hands finding themselves on the edge of the table and holding yourself up. He slipped his tongue into your mouth, dancing his tongue around your mouth to get a taste of everything and feel every part of your mouth pressing himself against you, capturing you between him and the desk, his other hand reaching up to hold onto the side of your neck. He pulled away a string of saliva connecting the two of you, his eyes staring down a you, his eyes washing all over your face and admiring you that made you nervous as if he had his tongue shoved down your throat. You stared at him, licking your lips, feeling the tingle left over on your lips, you wanted more, leaning closer to him. “I could kiss you for hours.” You whispered out, he chuckled, and moved to lean closer to you as well.
The door creaks open, and Tashigi walks into the room, looking up to see Smoker's back. “Sir, we should talk about [Name]. You’ve been avoiding her like the plague, and I’m worried there is something you are upset over, something that they did.” She rambled on before Smoker slowly turned around to look at her. She looked up at his face before she snapped her eyes down to see you sitting there with puffy lips and a dazed expression. She swallowed, and her mouth was slightly agape before she bowed, “Sorry! Sorry..” She mumbles quickly, turning around and moving to leave the office in a hurry. You just blinked, staring at the door before you broke out into laughter. “I guess I should go make sure she doesn’t… pass out.” You tell him, he grunted and leaned back down to place a quick peck. “Please.” He says before moving to walk off and go sit down at his desk, as you smiled and walked out to try and go catch Tashigi.

You weren't sure why you agreed to this job, to get on the ship with some of the most reckless and supposed dangerous pirates? You felt like an idiot for thinking you'd be able to get on board, act normal, get along with everyone, and fully believe your little lies. Yet, here you were on the main deck sitting along with everyone as Nami and Robin were lounging drinking some random drinks that Sanji had ended up whipping together for them purely because he thought they needed them and who were they to complain? You sat alongside Usopp as he was telling one of his made-up stories that he swore was true, Chopper sitting beside you listening in amazement and honestly, you couldn't know if he just enjoyed the story or truly believed them.
Once Usopp had finished up his story, Chopper had gotten up to leave making his way over to Robin and sitting down on her lap as he quickly fell asleep as if he had just listened to a bedtime story and it was his nap time. You enjoyed this strange crew, how everyone seemed to be able to do their own thing yet also be around each other at the same time made you feel all warm inside. Your eyes scanned the deck watching as everyone did their own thing before you turned back toward Usopp your eyes immediately being met with his blinking in surprise at the sudden contact the two of you immediately looked away with a heavy blush decorating both of your cheeks. You would clear your throat before you carefully looked back up at him, "I liked your story." You spoke up and his head shot up to look toward you.
"Oh- Thanks!" He exclaimed as he stared at you for a beat before he moved to slide down from the barrel he was sitting on, now on the ground in front of you as he cleared his throat. "It was super scary, I mean being chased by a merhorse is not something you exactly see every day!" He says flailing his arms to add to the dramatics before he lowers them back into his lap, he watches as your face contorted for a moment before you end up giggling at the whole idea of a mermaid plus a horse as one thing. He stared at you in almost shock, the sound of your giggle was a sound that he now had a goal to pick out of you any chance he could get and if it meant making up even more stupid and impossible stories he was willing to do just that. "I bet." You responded as you smiled at him noticing how he just stared at you and you noticed how his eyes slightly sparkled, causing your cheeks to flush as you looked down at your own lap nervously.
The two of you sat there in silence before you heard some shuffling and looked up to see that the spot that Usopp was once in was empty now, you blinked as you looked around the deck trying to locate the sniper again but it seemed as if he had just vanished into thin air. You took a moment before slouching and letting out a small huff of a pout, you enjoyed spending time with him but every time he came around it was as if your brain just shut off. You couldn't think straight when he was nearby or even talking to you, making conversations between the two of you difficult since the both of you seemed to just sit in silence for most of it. You would eventually move to stand up deciding this time you'd be the brave one, since... well neither of you were exactly the bravest pair along with Nami on the ship. You made your way down the hallways to the boy's quarters, taking a moment before gently knocking on the door. "Usopp?" You called out.
Usopp perked up to the sound of your voice outside of the room, he blinked, struggling for a moment, trying to appear more presentable as if he hadn't been freaking out over the whole fact all you did was be nice to him. He would move toward the door, slowly opening it as he looked at you, staring you up and down before he cleared his throat. "[Name]!" He exclaims, "Sorry, I just realized I need to uh... clean some of my clothes up." He chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck nervously. You watched him, noticing how nervous he seemed, the way sweat dripped down his head and down his neck... toward his chest - You quickly forced your eyes up before you let them drag further as if you could even see anything with the shirt that covered his torso. "I just... was wondering if you'd want to go out to eat on the next island?" You asked, your hands held in front of you as you fidgeted with your fingers. He froze visibly and mentally, "Yeah! Yes! I mean... Yeah, sure...!" He says, trying to seem nonchalant.
That was a month ago.
Now you are standing on the opposite side of the crew with the Marines, you had gotten so caught up in enjoying your time with the pirates that you had forgotten the original reason you were there. To lead them to this island and give them to the Marines, you had tried your damndest to make them go away and anywhere else, but for some reason, they just had to go there. You could see Usopp among them, of course, he was scared, and how you wished you could run to him and hold either side of his face to comfort him and tell him he'll be okay the way you would every fight you had gotten into with the Straw Hats. But you couldn't, you were the villain now. Usopp wasn't looking at you in fear but in betrayal and pain in his eyes, it hurt you.
You averted your eyes from looking at him and at the ground, feeling the other Marines around you praising you and moving to push you along back toward the base. You felt sick, disgusting, you felt wrong. You wanted to go back and try to tell him that you never realized how great they all were. But you wouldn't get the chance, as the Straw Hats fought back, and you barely escaped the fight and battle as you climbed out of the rubble. You could hear people cheering for them, singing for them, praising them. You turned to look at them, but your eyes began to water quickly, turning away and forcing yourself up, trying to hide away, not sure if you'd be able to ever survive this. Not if they caught you if the people found you... if Usopp found you. You exhaled shakily, the pain was unbearable in your body, feeling a sting and the ache slowly growing throughout your body. You were trying so hard to not start sobbing, the realization that you had brought the people you considered your friends and had treated you so… right had just been betrayed by you.
Slowly turning your head you expected to see the crew long gone but instead, you saw him approaching you, your eyes widened and you quickly scrambled in a panic to see if you could get somewhere away from him cause if he came any closer you would get caught by him. "[Name]?" He called out and you froze in fear, shock, and anxiety. You swallowed thickly as you turned around almost like a deadpan toward him, "Usopp.." You whispered your voice cracking and betraying you as you tried so hard to seem tough as if you hadn't just been sitting there balling your eyes out for being such a shitty person. "Oh good you're okay!" He exclaimed moving to spread his arms out for a hug as he stepped closer and you stepped backward almost as if you were ready to feel a fist or a kick to your body but it never came, instead, you felt... nothing. You looked at him with a confused expression, "Wh.. are you not gonna punch me?" You asked him. You saw his face twisted in confusion, "Punch you?" He asked him.
He seemed almost hurt that you would even think of him doing such a thing to you, "No- I just wanted to check and see if you were okay, I saw you had gotten a few little hits in the fight." He tells you as he steps toward him and reaches out to grab your shoulder, "But I... I led you here, I'm the reason you all got shoved into a fight." You explained to him as if he wasn't there in the fight, "Yeah? But, you clearly didn't... want it to happen." He tells you, "We all make mistakes, big or little. You regret it, that makes you a good person." He reassured you before he pulled you against him, "And anyways, Luffy enjoys you in our crew." He whispered out to you before he pulled back and smiled, "Now.. uhm.. can we go back now?" He asked you, in reality, he was already struggling to keep his composure from even just hugging you. You nodded and brought your hand up to wipe away any stray tears, "Yeah... okay.." You whispered out to him, "I have several apologise I need to make." You admit.
