I feel like a lot of polymind hates stems from the fact people are just refusing to actually listen, they stubbornly decided they hate it and are too prideful to admit they may have been wrong

"They steal from systems!" polymindence is not and never was based off alters.

"They wanna be systems!" polyminds explicitly say they're not systems.

"They're endos!" trauma based polyminds exist and polyminds aren't systems, so they can't be endogenic in the first place.

"It's harmful!" distinguishing your parts is not necessarily harmful, this heavily depends on the circumstances. plus if we're gonna say that distinguishing your parts is always bad, then all systems are harmful.

i frequently hear from anti-polyminds (and similarly anti-IFS) something along the lines of “it’s harmful to identify your subpersonalities without a therapist in front of you”. but there is no evidence of this; this is a rumour that anti-polyminds made up and continue to spread simply to bash on polyminds and IFS.

in fact, Dr. Richard Schwartz, the creator of IFS, has said himself that IFS is “something you can do on a daily, moment-to-moment basis—at any time, by yourself or with others”. IFS is fine to practice without a therapist, and not everyone has the means to get therapy in the first place.

To be honest, saying "polyminds are just endogenics with extra steps" is kind of embarrassing. You're literally admitting to having no clue why you hate endos, and/or admitting you have no clue what polyminds are. ANY amount of research would prove they aren't the same, and the fact that its obvious you didn't do that research, is pretty laughable. Do some self reflection instead of following the next tiktok hate trend.

Maybe YOU should go touch grass, get a fucking hobby, or job, or what about friends? An INTERNET TERM talking about proven experiences, is not hurting anyone. Hell, even my THERAPIST knows, my therapist is actually encouraging it as we also practice IFS. The only reason you think polyminds are bad is because you think everything is specifically about you, not every term is copying you, people can have experiences.

i think the main amusement of people being mad over "fictling" sounding like "fictive" is like.

first off fictive isn't "your word", the correct medical terminology is fictional introject.

second off, the "fict" part comes from FICTION. like FICTIONAL. like the WORD THAT MEANS MADE UP CONCEPT. are you gonna get mad that people say FICTION next? what about FICTIONKIN? FICTKIN RING A BELL? you don't get to claim the "fict" part because IT'S NOT EXCLUSIVE AT ALL.

I feel like a lot of anti-endos forget WHY endos are bad in the first place.

Yes, DID and OSDD are trauma disorders and you cannot form the disorder without them. But alters are not the entire scope of the disorder.

I'm not going to dismiss someone's experiences if their saying they experience plurality/multiplicity but dont have DID/OSDD, thats not the problem, the problem is ableism.

Endo means endogenic DID. the term itself is ableist. they steal terms such as alter and split and system and fictive. they use terms like sysmed and traumascum. they advocate for the demedicalization of the disorder.

you know who doesnt do that? you know who stays in their community and uses their own terms? fucking. polyminds.

so if your gonna hate on non traumagenic plurality just because i mean go ahead i guess. idk
