Seemingly no outlets received review code for Build a Rocket Boy’s debut game…
MindsEye, the first title from Build a Rocket Boy, has released in a poor state.
This is the game that last week, the Scottish press were touting it as 'the next GTA'.
Failure lies with Build a Rocket Boy's management here. The release is packed with graphical glitches and performance issues, and a marketing campaign built around the game director, Leslie Benzies, (to the point where's he's named in the Steam short description) wasn't the way to go.
Fun fact: Alex Hernandez, the voice actor of Lincoln Clay from Mafia 3, is pansexual and polyamorous. He mentioned it in an interview on a live stream that was reuploaded to YouTube by the interviewer (that doesn’t have that many views). I’m not sure on what platform but the topic of his sexuality came up because ppl in the chat kept asking if he’s single lol, which is how I know it’s a live stream.
For anyone who’s curious about the answer, no, he’s not single. He married his wife in December 2022 and I believe they’re still together since he mentions that he has a wife in an interview about Mindseye 5 months ago. She’s not really seen with him. The only time she’s pictured with him is during the the game awards in 2016 after mafia 3 released and some posts from years ago on his Instagram.
